Friday the 18th of September marked the inauguration of the new Thales Connectivity Lab in Ballerup, Denmark. Developed in close collaboration with the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO) and the Danish Armed Forces, the Connectivity Lab will be a part of developing products and services within critical communication technology together with the customer. The Lab enables Thales to deliver operational capabilities in very short time frames while scaling up from lab experiments to battlefield-ready capabilities and in line with users’ timelines to support the needs of the Danish Army. The inauguration of the Thales Denmark Connectivity Lab is a significant milestone for Thales in Denmark and a first step of many. Working hand in hand with the Danish Armed Forces, we are strengthening our ability to support our customer locally while building the foundations for future growth. As France and Vietnam continue to strengthen their bilateral ties, Thales was proud to contribute to this landmark State Visit through meaningful engagements that reinforce our long-term commitment to Vietnam's technological and industrial development.   We had the great honour of welcoming to the Thales Research & Technology centre in Palaiseau H.E. General Secretary and President Tô Lâm, accompanied by a delegation comprising several cabinet members and Ministers, including Ambassador of Vietnam to France, and Olivier Brochet, Ambassador of France to Vietnam. Hosted by EVP Space, Herve DERREY and Chief Scientific Officer, Pierre Fossier, the visit provided an opportunity to showcase some of Thales’ latest innovations and, more importantly, to translate this shared ambition into new industrial cooperation.   During this visit, Thales and GTEL signed an agreement to explore cooperation in artificial intelligence and quantum technologies, with applications in low-altitude airspace management, counter-UAS capabilities, cybersecurity and public security.   Thales and Vietjet Air also signed a significant multi-year agreement to support Vietjet's fleet of 147 Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the development and modernization of Vietnam's aviation sector.   We thank our partners and all the teams involved for their commitment and dedication in making these achievements possible. A global technology company has to be more than global. In defence, security and critical infrastructure, nations need the scale, pace and innovation of a worldwide business, alongside capabilities that are sovereign: designed, built and trusted at home.    Yesterday in London, we showed what that means in practice. At the first Thales Technology Summit in the UK, Mike Sewart launched our UK Technology Strategy, built on a single idea: the smartest capability gains come from connecting what a nation already owns.    Senior leaders from across the UK’s defence, government and critical national infrastructure community joined Patrice Caine, Phil Siveter and Mike Sewart to see that strategy brought to life: integrated air defence, the hybrid navy, soldier protection, and the security behind everyday life, from payments to passports.    One country, one day, one strategy.
