I still haven’t received my item yet and I ordered it over a week ago

I ordered an M18 power tool combined with battery. The tool was as expected in it's Milwaukee box. The battery in no box and marked on the side. So effectively, ready to fit unlike any other M18 battery I have previously bought, they have always been packed in their Milwaukee box. The outside delivery box was about three times larger than the tool box, had one strip of brown packing paper inside and the battery loose to fall around within the box. So it's been with the courier in this state.
As a side point, I thought batteries should have warning label, the large online retailer many use is always particular about this and I received a torch recently with the warning on from them.

Anyway, after various messages offering a refund for the battery which was difficult because it was part of a packaged deal, not bought separately, I called PTM. The person I spoke to understood and seemed helpful, she arranged for return of the battery after checking if they had any batteries in boxes. (I am advised because they buy in bulk, they now don't come in boxes).
She made a note to send a sealed battery out by return. I dropped the battery off at the drop off point. A new one was delivered in good time, again no box, just open and ready to go.

Although the price was a little cheaper than elsewhere, it appears to be at the cost of service and what is supplied.

It might be other companies start sending batteries out like this but if they do, I would like to know in advance and see far better packing and from this experience, better service. It might mean using one of the big companies with local return options. Sorry PowerToolMate.
