The interface and service itself was decent.
My issue was that I've closed my account by Buhl in 2025, but I've been billed to pay for a service I no longer wish to use. Apparently, I haven't cancelled my contract with them and that's why I've been billed. This seems to me idiotic and borderline a scam. Closing an account isn't an automatic closure of a contract.
Furthermore, the customer service reps were barely useful all they said is "that's how it works" and "some people give their contracts to family members" both responses are less than useful.
I won't even start ranting about the stupid ai bot to direct you to talk to someone or the fact that the service hasn't got any English speakers or any rep that is willing to talk to you in English.

Would I recommend the Interface to do your tax returns? Yes
Would I recommend using this company ever? F*** no

I never imagined to write a negative review, but these people are a scam.

I cancelled my subscription on October (I even received an e-mail notification saying that I cancelled it!). However, on the 5th November they sent me an e-mail to confirm that they are going to charge me for the 2025 tax declaration too.

I even contacted customer support and instead of helping they ignored my request giving me an answer without responding to my question. Basically, they don't care about the mistake they made.

I won't use them never again.

Check it out. I am not the only one who has been scammed even if I cancelled on time (before the 31st October according to their rules) but has been charged.

I will contact the EVZ (Europäische Verbraucherzentrum Deutschland) and if the problem persists, I will contact the ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) EU Platform . If they don't solve your problem, you all should do that as well.

Used their service once. They've been billing me yearly ever since. I finally decided to delete my account on September. I still get emails from them and most recently an invoice for a renewal into 2026.

I tried to reach support, but this company refuses to be available. They don't offer any email support and their phone support is backed by an absolutely useless AI.

I'll just have to wait until they try to get money from me and then get it back thanks to the EU's consumer rights.

The fact that this company still has access to my personal information is a gross violation of the GDPR. Beware before you give them any information.

Edit: Just had a wonderful conversation with Buhl support after a found another hotline number. They explained to me that "deleting the buhl account" doesn't actually delete the buhl account. It just removes an email address. Buhl believes any subscription is therefore still valid.

I can only recommend nobody do business with these people.

Edit2: As you can see from their response they confirmed my review: Deleting your account in their minds does not include deleting your data nor stopping any supposed subscriptions. As I said earlier in my opinion this is a violation of GDPR and I'm currently considering contacting the local privacy officers to ask their opinion on the matter.

All great! I managed to get an appointment the next day, so it was quick and very comfortable a so was in a rush. The consultant gave me a lot of valuable info.

It is very easy to work with WISO and understandable , perfekt.

Excellent platform and service

They have the most features and support every tax case. Webapp is the best I have seen on the German market, as it provides structured guidance with interactive tips. Seems to be the best option for anybody who prefers to submit unassisted filing. I have also used ProfiCheck for submitting objections to Finanzamt.

It would be great, if they added support for English. It's still only in German.

Super Software

Atrocious website and atrocious service. I purchased the Grundsteuer declaration service, the platform for which repeatedly crashed. It took several emails to get help, and the help was to restart my declaration as what I described suggested a "damaged data record"- ie a damaged file on their platform! This occurred and reoccured several times until (on my 5th attempt of re-entering all the data, fingers crossed that their system did not corrupt my address entry AGAIN) I eventually succeeded.
I had advance purchased the professional review of my entry. However, the advance purchase was not linked to the platform purchase, and therefore one my entry was successful I was asked if I would like to (re) purchase and (re) book the professional review service - no option to even enter a code to say this was already purchased! I think this alone is great testimony to their failure as a tech company! I emailed to advise them what had happened and could they link that I have bought this already. No reply. So far I have had 2 replies to my 5 emails, both of which were unhelpful. I have now finalised and submitted my declaration without professional review. I am not holding my breath that their platform even works sufficiently to accept and properly forward the declaration. I have still had no offer of a professional review (and yes I booked the date for the review when I purchased it, and no, no-one contacted me). If this company even dares to suggest that I have entered into an agreement for an annual subscription of any kind with them I will be beyond furious. I would not subscribe to such an almighty heap of rubbish if my life depended on it! Seriously wish I had never set eyes on them.

I had used Buhl for my taxes 2021. I did not sign up for a yearly renewal, nor did I use the software for my 2022 taxes. Yet, still, they charged me for a second year. Unfortunately, I had moved out of the country and did not receive any of the Mail. Instead of contacting me via email, they proceeded to get another company involved to collect the "debt"of a second year. This "debt" now had increased over a few month until I got the old letters from my past landlord. Now I suddenly owed them twice the amount of the second year.
Again, a second year that I had not subscribed to. This is absurd.
Long story short, the software is easy to use and helps, but the company is a scam an uses tricks like these to get their money. Communication is also a 1/5 as they did not contact me via email once

Good software. Booked two sessions for the ProfiCheck service as well, and the tax advice I received was very helpful.
