Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 2,277 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people frequently noted constant problems with online grocery orders, such as missing items, spoiled fresh produce, and heavily delayed home deliveries. Regular buyers also struggled significantly to get prompt resolutions from customer support teams when trying to resolve unexpected billing errors or missing items. Though some customers noted negative service overall, a small group of loyal shoppers praised specific staff members for being extremely helpful and polite. These individuals specifically mentioned receiving remarkably kind and compassionate assistance from store employees during unexpected stressful moments while visiting physical locations.

Blind people are being discriminated…

Blind people are being discriminated against by Asda as they are left out of the rewards scheme as they can’t see phones!!! They need a physical card to use! This is disability discrimination! Shame on you Asda

Just completed my last ever shop with Asda. I forgot to scan my card for points and realised Asda does not allow you to manually scan your receipt from home. Clearly failing the customer so I will do all future shopping at Morrisons who do allow you to scan your receipt at home if you forget. After many years it's a goodbye from me.

AVOID ASDA Cafe in Broughton Retail…

AVOID ASDA Cafe in Broughton Retail Park

I'm Asian who married an Englishman in 1983. I have lived and worked in Flintshire North Wales for 40 years. I'm now retired. Today, my daughter and I together with my two grandsons aged 7 & 5 went to Asda Cafe for lunch (as I always do for over 10 years). Timeline: Saturday 5th Sept 2026~11:40am - Queuing in Asda cafe, the menu board displayed what's available for breakfast until 12 noon on offer children's meal deal for £1 which were Crumpet & a drink or Beans on Toast & a drink OR Sandwich + Fruit + Snack + a Drink. So we decided to pick the sandwich option. As we were picking items for the children, a lady staff member said in passing "you can't have that until 12". Wasn't sure who she was talking to and menu boards clearly stated all day / everyday so we queued anyway. Got to the till and the same lady now serving us said NO we can't have them so we put kids sandwich meal deal back as told we weren't allowed a ham or cheese sandwich until 12pm, it was only crumpet or beans on toast with a drink only, no snacks. We bought crumpets. When sat down, the family next to us had already had the sandwich meal deals and. we also noticed that 2 more families with children that queued with us had sandwich meal deals. We went back to till, where two other families were also being served sandwiches - this was now 11:50 - we tried to get the deal again to be told it was only one meal deal a day and we couldn't have it. We questioned why three families had sandwiches and she said the board had changed - i told her it hadn't changed, again stated it clearly said all day every day, and I had a photograph. She then said it's 12pm now, it wasn't and I showed her the time on my phone - she then shouted NEXT and was telling all the other customers we were kicking off because we weren't allowed a second meal deal. We went back to sit down, she walked past our table while we were talking about it and said maybe she's racist as what other reason could there be, she then started shouting in the cafe, trying to get the people sat behind us to back her up because she was telling us to leave and she was going to get security. We said NO we're not finish eating the food and drinks we'd paid for. She stormed around the cafe telling the other customers again that we were causing trouble because we wanted a second deal meal. A young lad then came over and started shouting that she was his boss and she was incharge so could serve what she liked. I asked him not to come over and shout at us in front of our children - he said he didn't care!

The Asda manager with male colleague came over to talk to her and she'd told them that we had called her racist. We went to speak to the Asda Manager and she listened and was much more understanding when we explained what our actual issue was (NOT BEING SERVED THE SAME DEAL AS EVERYONE ELSE). She said she would speak to her but all she's been told is that she was called racist. She explained the cafe wasn't part of Asda and didn't want it to put us off coming to Asda.

Well, if you happened to be Non White chances are you will end up not being serve like everyone else. I FOR ONE WON'T WON'T BE SHOPPING AT ANY ASDA STORE EVER AGAIN

Shouted, swore, broke and lost items then refused to refund

Delivery driver for our groceries order was shouting and swearing as he went between the van and our house. He kicked and threw many of our items, damaging and losing several. When I submitted a refund request for the damaged and missing items via the Asda website it was immediately rejected without reason or option of discussion. We will no longer be using Asda and I highly advise others to avoid them too.

Something needs to be done about the…

Something needs to be done about the supermarkets in Manchester. I ordered shopping from Asda for delivery on 4/9/2026 between 8.30-9.30pm, by 9.40 I phoned only to be told they had been there. Even on their site it still said "being prepared"

She told me he had knocked on the door (he hadn't nor had he phoned me) but, she will cancel and no money will be taken. So, I does an online shop with Sainsbury's which was being delivered on 5/9/2026 between 11.30-12.30pm.

Long story short, I checked the site earlier today to find Asda had updated my "order" to it being "delivered" today between 8.30PM - 9.30PM so they time travelled to this evening today to not deliver a delivery that was impossible to deliver, but had the gall to charge me. Make it make sense!!!

I phoned before writing this to be told they will refund in 2- 5 days but here's a £5 for the inconvenience but you must spend it within 5 days. Seriously!

During this time Sainsbury's (who I am reviewing next) turns up with 8 things out of 24 missing including essentials like: bread, coffee, salad, drinks and because I'm ill due to injury I've rushed getting the shopping out, took his word it was all there, until it dawned on me it was'nt, rushed to catch the driver but, poof...gone like a bat outta hell.

They also took the money for a full shop. I am now having to consider a 3rd shop for essentials and I am tired, sore and sad. Sainsbury's offered to refund the 8 missing items after an hour of talking and the phone going dead. I told them I don't want the items that have been delivered as I still have to do another shop. Send a driver to pick them up and refund my money. At least 4x I had to tell him this. He said he would phone me back. I doubt he will. I will try for a full refund through my bank. The food is waiting to be collected.

I am now onto my 3rd shop, no point in Morrisons (who I have a delivery pass with) as they did'nt have numerous items.

I've still not got a grain of coffee and I am down in money. They should'nt be allowed to mess people around like this. It's not the first, second or third time things like this have happened unfortunately.

Boycott these supermarkets.

Poor Customer Service

Ordered 36 units of one item for home delivery but only received 18. Driver informed us this was a regular occurrence since the pickers can't count! On reporting the incident to the service centre, the advisor took a casual approach and seemed uninterested in rectifying our order. We were told the balance of our order would not be made up and a refund would be sent in a few days possibly longer. Totally unacceptable customer service and will no longer trade with such a flippant and disrespectful company.

Outstanding Service from Brad and Sharon at Asda Westbrook Bakery

I would like to give a very special thank you to Brad, the Bakery Manager at ASDA Westbrook, for his consistently excellent service over the years.

Three years ago, for my son’s 10th birthday, he really wanted a birthday cake with his own photo on it. Brad was incredibly helpful and kindly arranged to have the photo printed in-store for the cake. He made the whole process easy and took the time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. It was such a lovely touch and helped make my son’s birthday even more special.

This year, we returned again for my husband’s 50th birthday, and once again Brad, together with Sharon, was so helpful, friendly, polite and accommodating. Nothing seemed like too much trouble, and they both made us feel genuinely welcomed and looked after.

What stands out most to me is the consistency of Brad’s customer service. Three years apart, and he is still just as approachable, professional and willing to help. That kind of service is not something you always come across, and it deserves to be recognised.

Brad is a real credit to the ASDA Westbrook bakery team. His kindness, patience and attention to customers make such a difference, especially when you are organising something important for a special family occasion. Sharon was also wonderful and provided the same warm and helpful service.

Thank you, Brad and Sharon, for helping us create special memories for our family. Excellent customer service like this is exactly why customers come back.

Worst Asda I have EVER been to

Worst Asda I have EVER been to. Shelves are constantly empty, online delivery orders are a waste of time as a lot of the items ordered are out of stock.
I seriously suggest getting a new manager into this store or close it down as it’s useless.

End to Customer Service at tills

Used asda today disgusting managers decisions removing all staff from paying tills, and shoving you and your trolley to pay as you go trolley areas now taking away staff , so not only do you scan all your shopping you now have to then take all items to repack it again , taking extra time waiting to find staff to sort unscaned items out , then on top of this a manager who deals with ordering forgets to order milk , yes a shop this size no milk , so after shopping taking 20 minutes plus now had to then go to shops across the road to get milk from a of licence , so now on shopping at Tesco and to he'll with asda inconsiderate store procedures. No Customer service at all just money saving gimmicks.

Ordered Asda Express with an hour slot…

Ordered Asda Express with an hour slot between 3.30 and 4.30. Waited in but no delivery. Rang customer services and put through to someone with very poor English who shouted at me the order had been cancelled and gave no reason. Pathetic express service that asda charges a hefty delivery charge. Really poor customer service, bring it back to the uk.
