Terrible experience in Paar Bridge Lidi
Terrible experience in Paar Bridge Lidi
The staff member (the shorter man with glasses and numerous tattoos) was extremely rude and impolite towards customers. I was genuinely surprised that Lidl would employ someone who behaves in such an unprofessional manner.

Repeated alarm torture at nights!
I live directly behind Lidl Enfield Town, and my flat overlooks the rear service area.
For almost a week, the store alarm has been going off throughout the night without interruption. We are forced to listen to it until the morning, every single night. It has now reached the point where the lack of sleep is affecting my health, and I'm suffering from constant headaches.
We have reported this issue repeatedly. Shopping centre security openly told us they have no access to the Lidl store and therefore cannot stop the alarm. They also told us that the Lidl store manager had already been informed but had not treated the issue with any urgency.
What was even more frustrating was that when we called Lidl on Wednesday, we were told to call back on Friday if the problem still wasn't fixed. In other words, despite already knowing about the fault, Lidl was effectively accepting that residents would have to endure another two or three sleepless nights. That response is simply unacceptable.
If the alarm system is faulty, it should either be repaired immediately or switched off until it is fixed. Lidl's security cannot come at the expense of the health and wellbeing of the people living nearby.
A known problem has been left unresolved for almost a week despite repeated complaints. This level of irresponsibility is unacceptable, and if it continues, I will have no choice but to escalate the matter further with the police and the relevant local authorities.
Lidls has some good points and some bad…
Lidls has some good points and some bad ones. The good points, great prices, good selection of "middle of Lidls" household products, better quality fruit and veg than in previous years. The bad points, short dated products on shelves, bad stock rotation, short shelf life on flowers, (dying within 2 days), parking issues with Parking Eye, and the Lidls app that used to be a really good customer reward system, but now, don't waste your time scrolling through to find discounts, it's not worth your time, the app is useful to give you the advantage over Lidls two tier pricing structure but don't waste your time activating offers, the app is designed to get you to spend more time within the app and more time in the shop. I only use the app to ensure the 2 tier pricing is applied. Points that used to be real value and an incentive to spend more are now just a joke. Checkouts don't favour well either, the self checkouts, designed to cut Lidls Labour overheads are often dirty and loud, not a nice customer experience. The serviced tills, when open are a better customer service experience. Overall, it's like every big corporation trying to keep up with 2026 financial challenges but still showing a lot of rough edges that need sorting out. 4/10 for effort, 3/10 for customer service, 6/10 for pricing,

Very bad customer service skills
Been to lidl in padium this afternoon shopping on our scooter, both of us didn't have any change to get a trolley so we ended up using a plastic handbasket shopping and proceeded to the tell number one set to us use till 4 for checkout which we did we ask him if we could take the basket outside and I'll bring it back in once we loaded our scooter up because I did not have the bags with us be replied yes you could and as soon as we started to go out the alarm went off I looked back and the lady had told number one very aggressive shouting that you cannot take this out. I said to her I'll bring it back she goes you are not allowed, Whilst I was outside getting the one bag we had with us which was on the scooter my partner waiting inside the lady until one approached her and said I told you not to go out in first instant so my partner replied excuse me not talk to me like that I'm a customer and she just walked off we were very disgusted and disappointed in her attitude the way she spoke to us we will never be going back to the store again
Your staff in Wilmslow store are…
Your staff in Wilmslow store are exceptionally rude and unhelpful. I had another run in today because I had the cheek to request a paper receipt, meeting with shrugged shoulders, rolling of eyes and a further seven minute wait!
Eridanous Greek Style Pastitsio
Usually I like shopping at Lidl their creamy greek yoghurt is 10/10 but I recently bought Eridanous greek style Pastitsio. Absolutely appalling; 9/10 pasta tubes hidden underneath a microscopic amount of sauce and meat. Nothing like the photo
Had a horrible experience with one of…
Had a horrible experience with one of the staffs at Lidl dura street few minutes ago. Was at the checkout and pulled out my card to pay and realised I might have picked more than my card payment could handle and I quickly told the cashier politely to stop when it gets to £30 and this is a store I frequently bulk buy as mum of 4. He then asked me if I didn’t have a calculator on my phone and I was surprised he would ask that but I quietly replied with a nod. He then said he would have to bin the baguettes I had taken and that I shouldn’t have taken the other things as they would have to go about keeping them back and these were 2 loaves of bread and 2 packs of eggs. I was getting embarrassed as everyone on the line was now staring at us. A friend who had used the self check in quickly stepped in and asked for the items to be added and he paid with his card. As I was leaving, the cashier said to me sarcastically, next time make sure you use your calculator as you are picking items. This was so rude and unnecessary and I asked him why he would say that as he had mentioned the calculator before and didn’t have to say that again. He had no idea what circumstances led to me not wanting to spend above £30 on my account and I people have in one time or another returned or changed their minds on buying certain things.
He started laughing alongside the lady next in line. As a woman of color, I feel really bad to be addressed in that condescending manner. I truly won’t be in a hurry to visit the store in the near future.
This cashier whose name I didn’t bother checking to know is the eldest man amongst the cashier’s there.

AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE.
So rude
Just been in lidle, the staff are absolutely so rude, no conversation with the customer what so ever just chatting away to the colleague next to her!! She gave the guy in front the wrong change because she wasn't paying attention, in his favour too, good job he was honest, when he'd gone she said to her friend" well I wouldn't have said owt" ...I won't be going back in that's first sure.
Bought my weekly shop.
Bought my weekly shop.
No bags at the till.
I asked for 6 bags before she started putting my shopping through the till.
At the end of my shopping I asked again.
The look she gave me said it all.
She told me to walk round to self service tills which were behind her.
I asked if she could get me the bags as she was talking to another staff member who was on self service tills.
Her answer was No.
She carried on talking to the other staff member trying to change their breaks. She was also chatting to the young man on the other till using a head set.
I was flabbergasted with her response so I asked for the manager.
The girl said I would have to wait.
I packed my items after having to get the bags myself.
While I was packing and waiting for manager she kept looking at me and laughing with her friend.
At this point I felt myself getting annoyed.
Still waiting for Anisa the manager to come to me.
I then asked another staff member to call the manager.
All she did was say sorry but not one word to the girl on the till.
So more of my time was wasted waiting for the manager as she did not care about how her staff had treated me.
I made a comment saying I will make a complaint. She did not care and started to tell me to get out of the store. This was said when the manager had gone.
I will never use this store again.
Other friends said they never have bags by the till when they go in.
I have worked in retail most of my life.
Never would I treat a customer the way I had been treated.
Spiralled downhill in recent weeks
That's 2 visits in a row where the range of products and availability are unacceptable. I loved Lidl until recently. It's like shopping in the old eastern block now. Their online customer service is dire too.
Meat, fish etc goes off way before due date
The range of food products is perfect for most of my needs and I only supplement it from other shops when required. Prices are vey competitive and I have never had an issue with service. However, 2 stars deducted for their issues with the cool chain, especially in summer. Products containing meat, fish or other fresh proteins will go off days before their printed date even when I bring them home in an insulated bag within 10 minutes. Needs fixing!
We bought a milk frother
We bought a milk frother. It had no lid but what it did have was the receipt in the box saying that this item had already been refunded as faulty! It gets worse. Try to complain as a lady with MS their AI could not help me two telephone numbers one is discontinued and the other referred you back to the AI it has left me feeling very sad and very useless! Disgusting
During our shopping on Saturday at…
During our shopping on Saturday at “LIDL MADELEY “ we had finished our shop , there was only one teller and the shop was full, the teller was waiting for help from manager.. they announced till 4 was opening and then they said till 3, we started lining up in till 4 and the security man sent us to till 3. We were totally confused so we started unloading on till 3 while the people behind us went to till 4. A teller came and went on till 4, they were checking out and then a teller came to us on till 3. The gentleman behind us was explaining what was happening and the teller accused him of being aggressive but that was not true. My husband said we have a good mind to walk out, the teller said then walk out in a very sarcastic manner, so we did. Will never go to Lidl Madeley again.

It's been weeks bakery paper bags…
It's been weeks bakery paper bags almost non existencetant even complained to area manager, the ossett store needs better stock as some items not available, the dewsbury store has bags why is this store left with out any.this store is losing out .put it right please as put mince in containers not compressed dog food packs.
Their ready meals especially Swedish meatballs in gravy
Their ready meals and meat products are dreadfully poor quality. Today I purchased 2 packs of Swedish meatballs in gravy with mashed potatoes and peas. Even as I was heating it, it gave off an awful greasy cheap meat smell. One mouthful and I felt ill. The meat was the texture of the cheapest dog food imaginable. The taste - practically indescribably bad. The horrible, cheap greasy taste imbued the mashed potatoes and the gravy was vile. Both my partner and I put our meals straight into the bin. I had to brush my teeth twice to get rid of the nasty taste. I've had poor meat products from there before but nothing I've ever tasted in my life was as bad as this.
Mixed review regarding Lidl Plus and Stanningley Leeds store. Been forced to use a till with a staff member a Sarah T wearing a camera
Mixed review regarding Lidl Plus and Stanningley Leeds store. Been forced to use a till with a staff member a Sarah T wearing a camera
I wasn't impressed with Lidl Plus changing from the previous reward scheme. However there was Batts Ketchup on for 45 points instead of 90 points as I hadn't got any in I decided to get the reduced sugar Tomato Ketchup.
I've had coupons with discounts for item's that I do buy so got some different food in to try. With a good selection of items at Stanningley Leeds store. Went to a manual till. With a store assistant helping myself with the Lidl Plus app as the codes for items weren't showing. It's the first time I've used the coupon since my initial free item when it changed from the old system to the new system.
With a female on till number 2 wearing gloves with her light off but then turned on when I had moved to till number 1. With Sarah T wearing a camera talking down to the male in front of myself regarding a recepit "you want it" when a card recepit is mandorty the Lidl's Plus app doesn't always work for recepits. How are you? Is a personal nothing to do with her. With only three small trolleys available to use. It put me off after the help I received. I called customer service regarding feedback it's not I've submitted an email complaint.
