Tax free without any stress 100% safe
Absolutely no issues in either purchasing new bonds or selling them. Both are swiftly dispatched and transferred into your account along with confirmation by email. Over the past few years I’ve had a steady £25+ win on a regular basis which over a year actually has passed the expected % interest rate from the bank. Still awaiting the big win but who knows! Got to be in it to win it is my motto!
I look at it like this… it’s like putting the lottery on each week without actually spending any money. If you win it’s a bonus and if you don’t it’s not cost you anything at all, but you have as good a chance as anyone else who holds bonds. Money is 100% safe, no stocks or shares going up and down. I personally would recommend premium bonds, plus all tax free. I wish they would increase their amount you can buy is my only question.
Great way a keep your money safe
I have been with NS&I for many years, I dont win every Month but I have done well on the ones I have, getting money back is easy and i dont get bombarded with updates all the time.
Appalling bereavement support
Not fit to operate. Simply need to transfer money out following bereavement. Filled in online form twice - doesn’t generate an acknowledgement just a generic screen saying we may be in touch in 14 days. Nothing received so completed form again. Rang - they could see no forms. Logged a complaint and advised to write to Bereavement in Sunderland with copy of death certificate and probate. Received call from complaints (who could now see one form) which was an utter waste of time - advised to complain to ombudsman. Asked to prioritise as it wasn’t my fault their system didn’t work - can’t do that. It says it takes 14 days on website - told it’s now 7 WEEKS and no idea how long it takes after that. I can apply for compensation but he doesn’t know how. Money being held when we have estate debts to clear. Indifferent, inert staff not being held to account and a system not fit for purpose.
