Charging for items they don't have in stock and refusing to cancel
I have ordered from Boombrush before and never had any issues with them until now. However, my latest experience is completely unacceptable. I placed order #360428 on July 2nd, relying on their advertised promise of same-day shipping if ordered before 21:00. It has now been a full week, and my order has still not even left their warehouse.
When I reached out to customer service because I am leaving for a 2.5-week holiday, they finally admitted that they don't even have the items in stock (the green kids pack brush heads). Taking a customer's money for items you do not actually have in stock—without notifying them beforehand—is bad enough. But to make matters worse, despite the fact that the order has not shipped yet, they flat out refuse to cancel it and refund my money. They claim their system "doesn't allow cancellations once processed," meaning they've been sitting on an unfulfilled order for 7 days but claim they cannot press a cancel button.
They are completely ignoring Dutch consumer law and a direct request to cancel an order that they haven't even sent. It is incredibly frustrating to be treated this way after previously being a happy customer.
Update: I was contacted by Rutger and Sara from the customer service. They have offered me two options, either to still send my items or refund them. I preferred a refund, because I was not sure if I receive them before my vacation. However, I would like to complement these employees from the customer service for a flawless communication and effort they put to help me the best possible. And I have already received the amount refunded to my bank account

Super happy with the Boombrush
Super happy with the Boombrush. Great brush, simple and easy to use. Convenient USB-C charging and very long lasting battery. Way better than my latest Oral-B iO Series 9 (we had 3 of those, all with charging and battery issues).

Nice brush
Nice brush, eco-friendly and with a long brush instead of a round one. The 5 different modes are also nice. Usage is great, only have to charge every 2-3 months or so! Love it.

Loving my new brush
Loving my new brush. Took me a while to adjust to the sonic brush feel after coming from a conventional toothbrush, but 3 months later I wouldn't go back.
