Been a customer for many years and bought numerous items online and in store because of John Lewis’s reputation of customer service, returns etc. Just ordered two bar stools online and on delivery were not suitable in colour or size for our new kitchen.
Not possible to return to a store , as they have to be returned to the warehouse….only collection available at a cost of £29.95!!!! Outrageous..
Will not be shopping again at JL and will be cancelling my account .

Please do not use this criminal company. I have already posted about their disgusting service , but have now received false photographic evidence of said damage to our hire car. This also included a photo of the petrol gauge being empty when we had returned the car full !! Please please don’t use them unless you want to go through the upset and stress they have put us through,

Please avoid this car hire company! They are dishonest. Just returned our hire car at Alicante AirPort. There was a tiny fingernail size mark on the back which was noted by their staff. On return home I received an email saying there were numerous incidents on the car and have charged me €460!! They commented about not taking their insurance as we have our own. So they get their money this way!!

Bought a pair of Sony noise cancelling headphones for a present. Cost £250. After 2.5 years they no longer work and are unrepairable .. not what I expected from a product by Sony.

Bought a Samsung TV from John Lewis in Poole yesterday had to return it today as would not fit our tv wall bracket.. no screws supplied and suggested correct screws did not fit. Tried to ring customer services but no help there. Took it back today, no one available to help with buying a replacement , only 2 starff on the floor, ended up just picking a boxed one off the floor, paid and left. This tv also had no screws that fit the back of it. If you want to buy anything from John Lewis in Poole and need advice don't bother going there.

Visited the Mill during a stay at the Premier Inn opposite. We wanted to have dinner there and arrived just after 7pm. We were greeted with “there are no tables for two available”, although numerous tables for 4 were available. We asked if we could sit at the bar but were told people might want to sit there? We did sit there , although had to ask that the table was wiped clean..During our meal one man arrived and was sat at a table for 4. We left about 8.30pm and all the same tables were still unoccupied?
More training needed for bar staff …

Rented a car on Monday 06.02.23 from Alicante Airport. Good service and free upgrade to automatic car.
Unfortunately no contract by email was sent to me as informed at the desk therefore I have nothing to show if stopped by the police .

Waited 8 months for a new bathroom, following installation kitchen ceiling had damp patches and on 31st December & 1st January it collapsed causing untold damage. This is due to negligence of 2 Wickes plumbers. Had to call out our own plumber who had found the bath and bidet to be leaking. No one from Wickes , despite our many calls and emails for help has been to assess and advise about the action to be taken . Untold stress and upset caused not only by theis but inappropriate text messages from the fitter. A totally dreadful experience…
