Customers frequently struggled with customer support, describing automated phone systems that failed to resolve problems and endless wait times when trying to reach a real person. Yet another greedy arrogant and useless…

Yet another greedy arrogant and useless US tech company - Bill Gates should be ashamed of you.
Thanks to you, it is impossible to copy my special needs daughter's assignment from her outlook email account to her college One-drive. It can't be copied, uploaded or moved even by me. We even had to re-accept a license to her 2019 office to access Word. Here is thanking greedy self serving Americans for precisely nothing! Its clearly time to abandon Microsoft as being more interested in controlling everything than providing any form of service.

Security breach issues - hacking - Microsoft don't care

If I could give zero stars I would. The email address I have used for over 20 years was hacked & I have not been able to recover it for over 3 weeks. Their customer service is appalling. Supposed to be one of the worlds biggest tech companies but can't even recover a compromised email account which has been fraudulently used to make purchases.

After multiple emails from Microsoft Customer Support requesting more information (which I responded to 3 times) they have closed the case due to "not receiving any response".

I would say its a joke, but personal security breaches are not funny.

Dictating scum

Dictating scum! How dare you put a limit on how much I can play per month! How dare you charge me more to play something over 15 hours! You can suck it. Finally pushed me to PlayStation! Good way to push customers away!

Beginning in November_ Changes _ Xbox

Beginning in November, XBOX Game Pass plans will include the following amount of cloud playtime:

• Game Pass Ultimate: 15 hours each month
• Game Pass Premium: 10 hours each month
• Game Pass Essential: 5 hours each month

_ as if the owners, creators, and so forth aren't making enough ??? they don't give a shiiii about their customers as is.

They really want to normalize this sort of thing... pushing for limited cloud gaming & we gotta pay? nah.

Microsoft 365 does NOT work

Microsoft 365 (which I've had, and paid for years) keeps on failing/not working, this time it’s the Excel component.
I have never had/been given an account number or reference.
As I try to create/open new Excel docs, at the top I get/it reads:
“X Subscription Required to Edit and Save Start your free one month trial of Microsoft 365 or sign in to Activate an existing subcription. Activate"
Whatever I do/send to Microsoft it ends in
“Error code xOx”
Microsoft don’t have an email “contact” online, the “given” contact number is 13 20 58, but it just doesn’t work!! (there are innumerable online complaints)
I have “found” the following other numbers:
0403 601 674
+61 1800 800 142
+61 1800 197 960
None of them work

With +61 1800 197 960 “you are told” to refer to a particular website, then from that website you get:
Note: We're currently experiencing an issue with activating Microsoft 365 / Office on macOS, which may result in longer wait times. If you are experiencing this issue, please ensure that you have installed the latest Microsoft 365 / Office updates. For more information, please visit Update Microsoft 365 or Office on your macOS or iOS device.

With 0403 601 674 and 13 20 58 the call is “answered” but then I "get"
“unable to connect”

+61 1800 800 142 is answered then you are told to hold, soon after you get transferred &
the call goes “dead”
+61 1800 197 960 doesn’t work
I’ve tried something that worked before. I’ve “gone to” the App Store on my Mac, then looked up Excel and download it from the App Store, but that didn’t work.

2 weeks of trying to speak to a human…

2 weeks of trying to speak to a human to get my email issue resolved. Microsoft data protection agent assigned to my case is meant to be calling me to help regain access to my admin account and never calls or if she does, it is not at the assigned time and I missed the call so she sends an automated email asking what time to call me, then when I reply she never does call at that time. I am not able to contact her. Going round in circles getting nowhere. I would give zero stars if possible - complete nightmare!!

Microsoft products are a complete joke…

Microsoft products are a complete joke when it comes to stability, whether it's Windows, their apps, Teams or whatever product they have something is always crashing or freezing for no reason. One moment everything is fine the next the entire program just dies and takes your work with it.
I've lost count of how many times I needed to force-quit an app, restart the computer, or recover a half finished document, simply because the software didn't do its job!!
The updates are just another useless problem which break stuff more than they fix. and customer support is almost nonexistent, all they have is endless chatbots, no real help provided!

Pure ragebait

Microsoft is the definition of getting paid to ragebait your customers. I have absolutely zero clue why this slop is still the primary platform for so many things. I've been recently dealing with two of my accounts being compromised / stolen back to back, and i've received the spectacular grand total of zero help from the so called "microsoft support" page and team. Every forum and every page does nothing but shove the "Sigh-in helper" in your face, which has only helped in reducing the amount of patience i have left. There is no actual support or coherent advise provided, they just repeat that you absolutely must have written your email wrong and the problem is your fault. Do not even get me started on the "fixes" they "provide" , and how they never even work. Want to change your password? Sorry page error, Want to check your username? Good luck waiting for that code to arrive, Want to contact support? Sorry gotta be logged in. There is no actual solution provided, they just tell you a slightly more professional equivalent of " Okay but have you tried turning it off and on again?". The cherry on top is however the account recovery form. You go to the all-mighty sign-in helper, you put your info in there, they tell you " Oh yeah this account is valid, we can help you get back in" , you go fill out the account recovery form and "OOPS, sorry this account actually doesn't exist , tee-hee! ". But if you do however manage to send the form "OOPS AGAIN! We randomly draw a name from a pile to see who we'll respond to, and your name is not on the list!" Microsoft is an excuse of a company, that has a cardboard cutout of a poorly drawn on stereotypical tech support guy in front of their building and claims " Yeah we have tech support!". What a joke.

Why dont Microsoft Outlook scrap their useless Advanced Search feasture

Microsoft Outlook Advanced Search is the most useless tool i have ever encountered.
Today i put into the header my subject.Immediately Advanced Search appeared and a
permitted 3 emails to appear going back to the 17th August. However, there were 4 emails on the subject, the first one dated the 7th August, which Advanced Search decided to exclude. WHY!

The worst part of my day.

Microsoft is the bane of my professional life. There is no such thing as a minor issue. Anything could completely derail a mornings work, as I am forced through a half dozen ineffective channels to try and resolve something so simple as changing my billing address country.

I hope for a future where this business has failed completely, replaced by a competitive market of lean, responsive competitors.

NEVER BUY MICROSOFT PRODUCT AGIAN!

Dont get me started !
I had a mac for 14 years, had zero issues with it! As it was outdated I needed an upgrade, decided to try the microsoft surface pro. NEVER AGAIN! I had it for not even 3 months before the screen began glitching and the touchscreen stopped working. Sent it in for "free repair" Got it back they said nothing was wrong. Microsoft customer service was horrendous and said nothing they could do. Let me know it was still within the one year warranty so I could send it in for repair again, but refused to replace or refund my over $1300 I spent on this piece of trash. They guy on the other line through tech support hung up on me after over 30 minutes of waiting to talk to him. As I politely expressed my frustrations over the computer not working. WARNING NEVER BUY MICROSOFT PRODUCT AGIAN!

Hyper-Capped Company Raises Prices, Cuts Services (Return Publisher!)

I love Office, I dislike the random price hikes. You want to get paid? Fine. But when you hike prices and cut bedrock services like Publisher, you are ripping us off. Don't like it? Microsoft tells me, you can always cancel your subscription. That attitude is unacceptable for this hyper-capped company. Return a publishing program in the 365. Now!

My rewards account was banned for no…

My rewards account was banned for no valid reason. I have been a loyal user following all the terms of service, but my account got suspended out of nowhere and customer support is completely useless. If there was an option for 0 stars, I would give 0 stars because they don't even deserve 1 star. They are true scammers. Waste of time and effort!
