Evaluating 153 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently complained about the poor product quality and hardware failures, explaining that the televisions stopped working prematurely or suffered from persistent technical defects. Reviewers also encountered severe frustrations with the sluggish menus, freezing screens, and unresponsive remote controls, making basic navigation an exhausting daily task. Some people were satisfied with the clear image quality and generally felt the product offered decent value for the price. A few other people also noted that the screen displays look sharp and vibrant when operating properly without any unexpected technical glitches.

I do not recommend them

I do not recommend them. I bought several televisions (3) from them, and they lasted exactly as long as the warranty period. Then, the software failed. To fix it, I need the software, but since the TV is no longer under warranty, I have to buy it from them. However, if you just buy the software, they offer no guarantees—so you have to go to one of their service centers, and in the end, the repair costs as much as a new television. I should mention that I experienced this same issue with all my TCL televisions.

⭐ 1-Star Review for TCL

⭐ 1-Star Review for TCL

Very Disappointing Product Quality and Customer Service!

We purchased a 65-inch TCL LCD TV in the name of Ritika Sharma, and the display started having problems. It has been 10 days, and despite raising complaints around 10 times, we have received no proper follow-up or satisfactory response from TCL’s customer service team.

This experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. A customer who spends their hard-earned money on a new TV deserves a reliable product and prompt after-sales support. Unfortunately, our experience with TCL has been terrible.

I would not recommend TCL to anyone based on our experience. Think carefully before purchasing a TCL product, as the after-sales service we have experienced has been very poor.

We are now proceeding with legal action against TCL and pursuing the matter through the appropriate court and legal channels to seek a resolution.

TCL needs to take customer complaints seriously and resolve this issue immediately. Very disappointing experience with both the product and customer support!

Don't buy direct

product is mostly fine, great value ...

But, don't ever buy from their store directly. Horrible service from the other side of the world and incredibly slow shipping. It took a week for product to even leave the warehouse and then arrived with half the items missing from the box.

Extremely frustrated & disappointed…

Extremely frustrating & disappointed with TCL 55" LED Google TV.
Since purchase 18 months ago, regular sound outage occurs & more recently lost channels requiring re-setting.
Have NEVER had these problems with another reliable brand :(

Recently

Recently, I've bought a TCL 32" Smart TV, and it's very good. Clear image and colours. Good surfing on YouTube and the Internet. It's just very good. Back in the days, I used to own brands such as Sharp, Nokia, Grunding, Philips. I don't know why all the negativity against TCL, but my smart TV it's functional and very good. Peace to all!

It gets worse everyday

Remote doesn’t work, you have to be right in front of it, standing to the left. So annoying that I’ll never own an TCL TV again. Constantly jumps the WiFi. The only device that does that. Randomly turns off. It’s garbage. It gets worse everyday. I hate it.

Worst After-Sales Service Experience with TCL

I am extremely disappointed with TCL's after-sales service. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever faced.

My TCL TV developed a display issue — sound was coming, but there was no display, while the TV was under warranty.

My experience point-by-point:

Complaint registered with TCL on 19 July.
Technician visited on 25 July and confirmed that a part was faulty.
I was initially told the part would arrive within 5 days.
The timeline kept getting extended, and I was repeatedly asked to wait.
The TV remained non-functional for around 15 days in the previous month.
In the following month, the TV was again non-functional for around 18 days.
A technician eventually installed the required parts, but the TV still did not work.
TCL then initiated a replacement process.
The replacement status remained stuck at “Replacement is approving” for several days.
After waiting again, a replacement TV was finally brought by the technician.
When the replacement box was opened, the replacement TV itself was physically broken/damaged.
After making the customer wait for weeks, TCL delivered a damaged replacement unit.
Now I am again being asked to wait for another replacement instead of getting an immediate solution.
Customer care repeatedly gives new timelines instead of providing a definite resolution.
The Borivali East service centre did not take the matter seriously; I received an unsatisfactory response and, during one interaction, the call was disconnected.
I have also sent multiple emails, but I have not received a proper and satisfactory resolution.

This is not what I expected after purchasing a TCL TV.

I purchased a TV to use it, not to spend weeks calling customer care, waiting for technicians, waiting for parts, waiting for replacement approval, and finally receiving a broken replacement TV.

TCL's own India support information says warranty repair service is available and that authorised service partners are expected to provide proper solutions.

My experience has been completely different.

I am extremely tired of the repeated calls, false/extended timelines, technician visits and lack of proper communication.

TCL needs to seriously improve its after-sales service. A customer should not have to suffer like this for a warranty issue.

Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend TCL based on my personal experience with its after-sales service.

30 days after purchase it failed

30 days after purchase it failed. It will work on an external antenna but will not process signals from WIFI. Representatives at Best Buy refused to provide any remedy. Contacting TCL was even worse experience. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with 2 different TCL representatives and they insisted on ridicules requirement to proceed with discussions. For example: I don't use cell phones (landline only) but they said I must use one to transmit video clips which will cost me hundreds of dollars to purchase, phone bills, and training time/cost to learn how to use it. Nowhere in the legal language of the warranty does it specify the customers warranty is void if they do not communicate via cell phone. In summary, TCL has no intention of honoring their warranty and will use ridiculous excuses/requirements to avoid backing up their products when it is clearly defective. I have learned my lesson. Will you?

Need class action lawsuit

I've left reviews in the past. Tonight I almost carried this crappy tv outside to smash. Just didn't want to clean up. Takes at least 10 -30 minutes to get into any streaming service. Then it spins, so bugged out cant think of the word. Just don't buy their crap. Disgusted. Too old and don't want heart attack over it.

Worst "customer service" l have ever encountered…

I purchased 2 TVs in February this year and both have performed sluggishly.

Trying to get these people to make good on their warranty is a nightmare!!

There have been no less than 20 emails and just as many annoying SMS from them where they make you to do all the work and provide videos as proof.

Even after all that including a factory reset of each TV, they are worse.

But instead of organising a technician, they demand more videos!

So now they are being taken off the wall and will go back to the Good Guys for a full refund.

So do not buy TCL.

They may be good TVs when they work properly but they're customer service is non existent!!

final legal notice, immediate replacement of defective brand-new 65-inch TCL television purchased through Flipkart. This is my final legal notice regarding the 65-inch TCL TV purchased through Flipkart on21st July 2026, installed on1st August by your technician. From the first day of installation, the TV has been defective and unusable. Despite multiple complaints and follow-ups, your representatives visited only after much delay and still refused to replace the TV. This is unacceptable. I demand immediate replacement with a brand-new unit, or a full refund within 7 days. If you fail to comply, I will initiate proceedings before the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission seeking replacement or refund, compensation, and legal costs. Treat this as your last opportunity to resolve this matter amicably.

Terrible customer support and TV

I have a 50c7k and I have been trying to connect it to Alexa - it won't connect, and TCL's customer support is diabolical.
Trying to diagnose an issue with them and you get a response from a different agent every time, none of them read any of the history so it's like going round in circles.
They want me to agree to having an engineer sent out - but at the same time say that their engineering department is closing down so can't guarantee an engineer, if they can't get an engineer - they offer an alternative solution, but won't tell me what the solution is.
Absolute joke of a company, and I shall be reporting them to ombudsman and trading standards.
