Absolutely disgusted...... that this eSIM worked so well. Damn! Installed the eSIM in the UK and then activated once I landed in Japan. Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka - not one problem with signal... See more

Worked great for the 2.5 weeks we were in Japan, and got us a discount at the LOST bar in Tokyo

Easy to setup and good coverage across the country. Would recommend. Even better if you find a rebate code online (they are easy to find)

Used this eSIM service in Oct 2025. First time using an eSIM. Was very easy to get setup and once it was activated - we had zero issues for our 3 week trip in Japan.
Highly recommend supporting this company.

Overall a great experience. I installed the eSim before leaving home and enabled it once we landed in Japan. There was a very minor hiccup in that the default access point option didn't work for me, but I just selected the other option and after that everything was fine. I travelled to Tokyo, Nagoya, Marugame, Osaka, Naha (Okinawa) and Zamami Island (small island near Naha, population 500 people) - in all cases I had a great connection. I was even able to upload photos and video in the middle of the sea between Zamami and Naha, which I really did not expect.

They use the best network provider. (Tried others before) Installation is easy and clear. And I get to support an amazing film maker. Win-win!

Service was great, It did drop out in a few places but they were in the middle of rural Japan, in places where 99% of people who will use this would never go, I am really surprised at how good the Coverage was! I did find it a bit tricky to initially set it up in my phone (google pixel 7 pro) but I'm not the most tech savvy person. I used it from Fukuoka, all along the west coast and up to Hokkaido and it was flawless

Good support, decently priced and never once dropped network on my trip over multiple cities. Thanks !

I bought an E-Sim ahead of time for my trip to Japan. Everything worked like a charm. I got a guide and was told to activate once in Japan. Did what the guide said, activated my E-Sim in the Android settings and had Internet right away. Reception was great everywhere I went, never had any issues.

Simple Setup and Very Good Coverage!
Loved everything about this E-Sim. It was our perfect Travel Companion throughout the 3 Weeks in Japan. Everywhere we went from Tokyo over Sendai and Nagano, we always had a stable connection and fast internet. The prices are more than fair and the benefits are great! So if you want to travel Japan with ease, than grab one of those SIM cards from Journey Japan !

Only had signal about 60% of my trip and even when I did the speeds really weren't great, super slow and seems to be on the expensive side for what it is

Worked perfectly as described! Had signal the entire trip.

The eSim worked flawlessly and was super easy to set up. The whole purchasing process was super fast and dead simple to follow. While I was in Japan, I never had an issue with service, even in some fairly remote spots. I will definitely be using it again when I go back!

Very good connectivity across Hokkaido, though if you are intending to hike to top of Asahidake or Kurodake I have sad news, you wont be streaming the journey as connectivity just does not exist there. You have to just enjoy the nature. I did a roadtrip in Hokkaido and the only hiccup was in the remote mountains, where to be honest I did not need internet.

Hassle-free eSIM that worked almost everywhere. I had some low reception in the mountains north of Nagano, but besides that no issues.
I then recommended it to a friend who flew to Japan in November, he couldnt activate it at first but the FAQ on the site helped him resolve the issue immediately!!

The first time I went to Japan I used a pocket wifi, the second time I used Airalo and most recently I used JJeSIM. JJeSIM gave me the best connection without any throttling. While I think that Airalo was easier to use because of its app, JJesim connectivity was far superior.
Perhaps having an app that works with checking your data or topping off more data could be an improvement. Other than that it's perfect. I went down all the way to Fukuoka and all the way up to Hokkaido and never had connection issues.

While setup was a little difficult it didn’t take more than around 10 minutes to get hooked up. My wife and I went back and forth through Kyushu and had excellent service the entire time. Couldn’t recommend enough👍

We went to Japan from December 27th 2025 to January 14th 2026, we follow Chris Btoaf who’s YouTube channel helped us work out all aspects of our trip. He recommended the eSIM and it was absolutely superb, I paid for the unlimited data as I was uploading photos and videos to various chat groups back in New Zealand and my wife paid for 30 GB as she was using less data than me. Everything worked supremely smoothly and I have already recommended the eSIM to work colleagues. My experience was first class and I took 1000s of photos and videos on my phone and used the Googlemaps to navigate each day. Our experience was world class

Very easy to use, straightforward instructions, and excellent service through the duration of our trip. My husband and I each used Journey Japan eSIMs and visited Tokyo, Takayama, and Nagoya, and never once had trouble with reception. We will definitely be using Journey Japan on our next trip!

Fast and easy installation process with reliable speed and stability during my use in various parts of Japan

My husband and I purchased the unlimited data plan for our three week holiday in Tokyo. Our experiences with the esim was the same. Set up was easy and connection was fast upon our arrival in Haneda Airport. We used it mainly for Google and Apple maps, watching videos and social media. The coverage was solid although at times it slowed down but never enough to cause major issues.
