The website is easy to navigate and permits easy litter updates. The breeder app allows me to keep up with new applications in my inbox and helps me keep informed about payments received and pending.

Horrible customer service. I tried to place some puppies up for sell and instead of informing me that my puppies didn't qualify, they made is seem that all was well. And then after about a month and me not getting any traction I reached out to only be told I couldn't sell my puppies on there website.

I am a breeder and my recommendation is to choose another platform to market your puppies. The team lacks good customer service. I have my dogs listed on other platforms such as AKC and Puppy Spot. This platform has by far the worst communication. They make decisions without even talking to the breeders or clarifying. Their policies are obscure and will absolutely ban you arbitrarily without even checking the circumstances. Getting their compliance department on the phone is NOT possible. Please read their policies carefully they will take down a listing without any explanation or opportunity for you to explain. WORST WEBSITE I Have ever dealt with in terms of customer service from a breeders stand point.

Overall, my experience was user-friendly, straightforward, and efficient. Updates were easy to make, and payments were handled smoothly. When I called for clarification, the person who answered was very helpful, knowledgeable about the policies, and addressed all of my questions clearly and professionally. One improvement would be allowing messages to be edited or deleted within a short window, such as one hour, while keeping older messages permanent for record-keeping and future reference.

I joined Good Dog because I believed the platform carefully screened its breeders and that this would provide a higher level of professionalism, transparency and accountability than searching for a dog through ordinary online listings.

Unfortunately, my experience with breeders I have encountered through Good Dog has been extremely disappointing.

I traveled from Colorado to South Carolina specifically to meet an adult Labrador after extensive conversations with the breeder about the temperament I was looking for. I was repeatedly told the dog was well socialized, loved people and was affectionate. When I arrived, the dog I met was extremely fearful, cowering, avoiding eye contact and uncomfortable interacting with unfamiliar people. This was temperament information I absolutely would have wanted before spending thousands of dollars and traveling across the country.

I subsequently communicated with another Good Dog breeder about an adult Labrador. There were lengthy discussions about the dog’s price, including pressure around availability and a deposit before I had even met the dog. We ultimately scheduled an appointment to meet at the breeder’s home. We arrived at the confirmed time, knocked and waited approximately 15 minutes. No one answered the door or contacted us, so we left. The breeder finally appeared after we were already gone.

These experiences have left me seriously questioning what Good Dog’s breeder screening and approval process actually guarantees a prospective buyer. A polished profile, health-testing information and positive reviews are useful, but they do not necessarily tell you how accurately a breeder represents a dog’s temperament or how professionally that breeder will conduct themselves.

I strongly recommend that anyone using Good Dog do their own extensive due diligence, meet an adult dog in person before paying a deposit whenever possible, and not assume that being approved by Good Dog is, by itself, an assurance of the experience you will have with a breeder.
