Bitget P2P is failing to protect its merchants

This situation has gotten even worse today September 1.

A counterparty opened an appeal against my P2P order and submitted what I believe is invalid/fake payment evidence. I immediately disputed it and provided Bitget’s appeal team with video evidence showing that the claimed payment was never received.

I have now submitted another video with additional proof. The counterparty is completely unresponsive, yet Bitget still refuses to cancel the order and release my USDT.

So the situation is essentially:

No payment received → evidence provided → additional video evidence provided → counterparty disappears → my USDT remains locked.

I have substantial experience as a P2P merchant across Binance, Bybit, Bitget, Gate, and OKX, with more than 20 BTC in cumulative trading activity. On Bitget alone, I have traded 180,000+ USDT in P2P volume.

Despite that history, Bitget's appeal process has left my funds locked while an apparently unresponsive counterparty can keep the dispute open.

I understand that disputes require investigation, but there needs to be a reasonable point where clear evidence is acted upon. Keeping a merchant's USDT locked indefinitely while the other party doesn't even respond is unacceptable.

If Bitget cannot protect legitimate merchants from abusive appeals and properly evaluate transaction evidence, I would strongly reconsider keeping meaningful liquidity on its P2P platform.

Bitget is

Bitget is, in my experience, one of the most manipulative crypto trading platforms I have ever used.

I have been trading since 2012, and I have never experienced such a consistently terrible trading experience or such a high number of losing trades on any other platform.

Every time I entered a trade, I felt like the market was moving against me in ways that were completely unreasonable. The price movements and executions often seemed very different from what I was seeing on other major platforms such as Coinbase. It repeatedly felt as though the game was designed to take my money rather than provide a fair trading environment.

I cannot prove exactly what is happening behind the scenes, but based on my personal experience, I have completely lost trust in this platform.

My honest opinion: stay away from Bitget if you value your money. In my experience, this is one of the worst places I have ever traded crypto. I would strongly recommend doing your own research and comparing prices, execution and spreads with other exchanges before depositing any money.

For me, Bitget has become synonymous with crypto trading manipulation and an experience I would never want to repeat.

Bitget P2P dispute

Bitget P2P dispute: buyer marked “paid” without payment and then contacted me on WhatsApp

Bitget P2P Order ID: 1476140265882042369
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Bitget P2P and the handling of this dispute.
I placed an order to sell 500 USDT. The buyer marked the order as “Paid”, but I did not receive any payment in my bank account.

Before I could initiate my own appeal, the buyer initiated an appeal first. While the dispute was ongoing, the buyer contacted me privately on WhatsApp. During the conversation, he told me that his money had apparently been **reversed**, but claimed that he could not cancel the appeal because he had already made too many cancellations that day.

He then started giving me instructions to perform an unfamiliar procedure on my Bitget account involving a “withdraw request” and the amount we were trading. He also asked me to **share my screen** so that he could guide me and make sure I did not “make mistake.”

I did not follow these instructions, I did not share my screen, and I have **not released the 500 USDT** because I have not received the corresponding payment.

I submitted evidence to Bitget showing that I had not received the payment. My first evidence was rejected, so I submitted additional evidence. However, several hours have now passed and I still have not received a meaningful resolution from the appeal.

I have preserved the WhatsApp conversation, including the buyer's explanation that his money was reversed, his instructions regarding my Bitget account, and his request that I share my screen.

This situation is extremely concerning. The buyer marked the transaction as paid despite me not receiving the money, initiated the appeal before I could, and subsequently contacted me outside Bitget with instructions involving my account and a request to share my screen.

I am asking Bitget to urgently investigate **Order ID 1476140265882042369**, review all the evidence including the WhatsApp conversation, verify the alleged payment and reversal, and ensure that my 500 USDT is not released without confirmed payment.

I hope Bitget will handle this fairly and protect P2P users from situations like this.

Ticket #3342354 — Bitget holds returned funds ($159 USDC) and creates impossible circular requirements.

My UID is 5684819765 (Ticket #3342354).
An external exchange (Bybit EU) sent a compliance refund of 159.255284 USDC on the BASE network (TxID: 0x1890d979a2a7991576628a0dc0e57b986e7e6510c7989874ff1218c97a9ebf03) back to Bitget's Hot Wallet.
I provided an unedited 5-step verification video (ID, face, Bitget withdrawal history, BaseScan). Support then asked for proof that Bybit refuses to send emails to third parties. I contacted Bybit support, got an official written refusal confirming they never email external exchanges, and submitted it.
Instead of crediting the funds, Bitget contradicted their own previous message and demanded the third-party email again. The funds are sitting on Bitget's wallet. I have proven full ownership on-chain and through video KYC. I demand immediate manual deposit recovery.

Bitget allowed my cryptocurrency to be stolen

Bitget allowed my cryptocurrency to be stolen, even though I contacted support in advance and asked to have my account locked and blocked. Hackers gained access to my email, used it to break into my Bitget account, and unlocked/bypassed the security measures I had already requested , and Bitget did not stop them in time.

My worse expensive ever with a trading platform

I am extremely disappointed with how Bitget handled my account recovery case.

My account was compromised, and the email address, phone number, and 2FA/security settings were changed without my authorization. I contacted Bitget and reported the issue immediately. Their support team initially treated my case as an account recovery/security issue, asked me to complete identity verification and a video verification, and requested the new security information I wanted to use.

After I completed the requested verification, Bitget suddenly informed me that my account was involved in alleged “KYC buying and selling activities” and permanently banned the account.

I repeatedly asked Bitget to provide the specific evidence showing that I personally sold or transferred my KYC identity or gave my account to someone else. I have never sold my identity or knowingly given my account to anyone. Instead of providing a clear explanation or evidence, they directed me to file a police report and eventually closed my case.

I find this extremely concerning because the allegations were never properly explained to me, despite my cooperation with their verification process.

I am sharing my experience so other users can be aware of how my case was handled. I hope Bitget will reconsider the decision, review the evidence properly, and provide a clear explanation regarding the alleged activity and the funds involved.

DELAYING REFUND

i did a P2P through bitget on 18/08/2026 (before yesterday) but unfortunately the order is timeout after my successful payment to the seller. Suddenly i contacted to seller and sent the payment receipt but he didn't release the crypto.

The sellers are very unprofessional in Bitget. The seller is saying he will release the crypto tomorrow!. See what kind of exchange is this?
I appeal to Bitget customer service, they said the seller's account freezed and the crypto will be released from his account and it will be credit to my Bitget account as a airdrop within 7 days.

Actually why they need 7 days for refund the amount ? What's the wrong i did? Why butget making troubles to their own customers?

Same thing also happened for me in binance before.. but they solved the issue within hours and amount refunded.

Bitget please refund the amount as fast as you can.

Unfair Account Blockage & Forced Profit Confiscation – Pending for 1 Year

I am writing this update because Bitget's generic reply on my previous review solved nothing. My account and withdrawals have been frozen for over 1 YEAR after making legitimate profits in Futures Trading.
Here are the facts:
False Accusations: Bitget accused me of "Market Manipulation" without providing any concrete proof or evidence. I executed simple, standard market trades.
Profit Seizure: In emails, they are forcing me to give up my hard-earned profits to unlock my account. This is unfair and feels like extortion.
No Real Support: On Trustpilot, they reply with canned template messages ("Check your email"), but in emails, they refuse to provide a fair resolution.
Freezing a user's legitimate funds for a year and demanding profit forfeiture is completely unacceptable behavior for a major crypto exchange.
My Demand: Provide proof of manipulation or immediately unfreeze my account and allow full withdrawal of my funds and profits. If not resolved, I will submit formal complaints to crypto regulatory watchdogs and financial crime authorities

I did grid trade on Oxo/usdt that ran for a month making good profits, and as with grid nature of trading when the coin started being so volatile they deregistered it without minding people position status. Many lost their investment as result of their reckless.

Bitget VIP1 | Ticket 3308656

UPDATE — 5 DAYS LATER
Bitget replied publicly saying I should expect an email “with a resolution.” Five days have passed and my case remains unresolved.
This involves my savings and is causing serious financial and emotional distress to my family.
I don't need another generic response. I need the resolution Bitget said I should expect.
Ticket #3308656
Full documented case: MyBitgetCase.com

Bitget VIP1 | Ticket 3308656
On 2026-08-09 Bitget acknowledged abnormal mark prices on TUTUSDT/BICOUSDT. My 3 linked accounts (Main 2812809479, Sub 7545318839, Elite 9150269463) were zeroed by SYS crossed-margin cascade (burst_close_short).
Bitget offered only 9,625.61 USDT and asked me to reply "I agree". Documented group cascade loss is about 45,196 USDT. I refused and requested recalculation + revised goodwill of 66,523 USDT covering all 3 UIDs.
I want a fair revised offer, equity worksheet for each UID per their official compensation article, and escalation to VIP/Compliance — not a partial settlement that ignores the full cascade.

Bitget is a company run by brazen scammers.

I have a Bitget 2VIP account. The account was created in March 2024. Three days ago, I couldn’t log into my account because they wanted to verify my identity, but that’s not in their own terms of service. Their program doesn’t recognize my face. Another option is to send them a photo of my ID and myself holding the ID, but their program won’t accept photos larger than two megabytes. I also need to record a video of my deposit history (how am I supposed to do that if I can’t log into my account?). In short, everything is set up so that you can’t withdraw your funds. A day later, I logged into my account (a miracle happened) and tried to withdraw my funds, but the same thing happened again—I was told to complete facial verification. I couldn’t withdraw my funds, but I discovered that my deposit history had disappeared. Later, I logged back into my account and saw that all my funds had been withdrawn. Their customer support is very, very poor and unprofessional. I sent several emails to the VIP manager and didn't receive a reply. NEVER do business with Bitget.

Bitget the Worst company in the world

bitget Ticket ID

3306027

I have a terrible customer experience with bitget. I do not recommend this company to no one.

today. I have tried to log in to bitget to withdraw some money from my fone. and to my surprise I get a message saying that they sent a code to my fone, email, my google authenticator. I check my fone
and no message was received.

I have used bitget for quiet a while now.
and never this happen.. so I wrote them and explain to them. with the video screen that shows that indeed that this phone is mine and with the phone number that appears from my mobile service provider.. and a video that shows that no messages or code was received from them.

what it seems like.. Bitget wants to use this to steal my money and not have access to my money. cause how can a company denies access to the rightful owner.. when I have done the K.Y.C and my account is verified. everyday I use bitget from my same fone and for no reason they will block my access..

please for anyone who wants to use bitget.. please run away.. they have poor customer service and they do not care about customer.. they let you put money in there.. and one day.. they will do something like that to you so you can not have access to your money.. they block you from access. please run away from that company. I will do a YouTube video to expose with the screen shot proof of all this.

they are the worst company.

Severe Mark Price wick discrepancy & failed Stop Loss protection (Ticket #3300123)

I lost 358.88 USDT on COTIUSDT due to an abnormal Mark Price wick down to 0.01248 that liquidated my position while the Last Price remained above my Stop Loss trigger (0.01328).
Bitget’s support (Ticket #3300123) acknowledged that liquidations are triggered by Mark Price while Stop Losses can be set to Last Price, refusing to take responsibility for the massive oracle discrepancy that left my protection completely useless.
Traders beware: system design and oracle spikes can clear your margin before your protection triggers.

Scamers – Denied Negative Balance Protection after weekend gap

I held a long position on US Oil over the weekend. When the market reopened on Sunday, it gapped down , and my position was liquidated. I couldn't close whatsoever. My balance went negative by 247.59 USDT.

Other major exchanges automatically clear these negative balances using their Insurance Fund. As it something outside Control .However ,Bitget scammers does not. They rejected my Negative Balance Protection (NBP) claim and accused me of "gap trading" and "attempting to exploit market conditions" – simply for holding a position over a weekend.

Now they are demanding I pay this 247.59 USDT debt and have restricted my account until I pay. They also charge hourly interest on this "debt".

This is a predatory policy designed to push losses onto retail customers instead of covering them with their own insurance fund. Bitget is not safe for futures or CFD trading. Use a different exchange. I will never deposit here again."

Avoid those unprofessional needy & hungry for your money 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 .. Please delete your garbage unprofessional business
