Rip off merchants with poor customer service
Despite 12 more months of trouble free motoring, no changes to my circumstances (OR 'Factors' as underwriters like to term, to hide behind ripping people off) BEAM attempted to increase my annual price by nearly 25% ... An absolute and utter disgrace. Never called them (When I did to call to cancel my policy I was on hold for an hour and finally gave up) Had no requirements to use or claim on the policy and yet ... TWENTY FIVE PERCENT INCREASE!?!?!?

Good customer relations
The website would not allow me change the start date of the new policy easily. I phoned the help centre and the person who answered was very helpful and polite. She sorted the problem immediately and I had a new policy within minutes.

Generally the website was easy to use. My only complaint was that although it appeared to accept my chosen password, I wasn't being allowed to progress. I presumed, therefore, that I was typing in my policy number incorrectly, so repeated both requirements numerous times, to find, eventually, that the google created password was necessary to move on. There was no indication as to what the specific problem was, and it would have saved me an awful lot of time if I had been told that it was my chosen password that wasn't being accepted.

It was all quick and easy until I came to pay, which can not be done online on a desktop without additional equipment - an app or mobile phone. I had to telephone to pay; Derek was extremely professional and arranged the payment quickly

I’d just like to say a big thank you to the gentleman who helped me with my insurance quote on Monday. I’m so sorry, I can’t remember his name!
I called regarding a quote I’d seen online and, as I was unsure about a few things, he was incredibly helpful in taking the time to go through everything with me and explain it clearly. He was friendly, patient, very knowledgeable and made the whole process really straightforward.
Everything was explained clearly and efficiently, and he was able to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed. Excellent customer service and a real credit to the company. Thank you again for all your help! 😊

Easy to use online quotation service…
Easy to use online quotation service and very competitive prices. Once I had accepted the quote and paid, immediate access to an online account and my new documents. Really impressed so far!

Customer services were very decent, but I did have to wait 52 minutes to connect to a human day as I wanted to extend breakdown cover which I couldn’t appear to do online
