The claim process was quick and easy. Someone claim in under 3 hours. Clear the sewer line from the curb side. And triple checked to make sure it was clear.

An electrician came to my house, found the problem with two electrical outlets, and replaced the part in my electrical box. I was very pleased!

Months of delays and a denied reimbursement
I signed up for American Water Resources’ gas service coverage expecting peace of mind. Instead, my experience has been frustrating and disappointing.
About four months after signing up, I had a gas leak. American Water Resources directed me to contact 911 and the utility company. The utility repaired the leak at no charge but disconnected the gas line to my fireplace.
I explained everything to American Water Resources, and they said they would send a contractor to fix the fireplace connection. The contractor canceled the first appointment and never showed up for the second.
After months of waiting, I called again and was told to hire my own provider and that I would be reimbursed. I followed their instructions, only to have my reimbursement denied about a month later.
I also discovered that I had to submit the claim through a separate insurance claims process. I expected American Water Resources to handle the service I was paying them for, but instead I was left coordinating repairs and chasing reimbursement myself.
Getting help by phone has been another major frustration. Reaching a human is extremely difficult, and dealing with the automated AI system means repeatedly explaining the same situation without getting it resolved.
Canceled appointments, a no-show, months of delays, and a denied reimbursement after following their instructions—this subscription has created more work and stress than it has saved. Based on my experience, I do not recommend American Water Resources.

THE REPRESENTATIVE I SPOKE WITH WAS PLEASANT AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE GAVE ME OPTIONS OF THE PLAN I SIGNED UP FOR. UNSURE OF THE DATE, MAYBE AROUND THE 27TH, IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

I was able to submit my claim for leaking toilet with ease and got a prompt response. AWR then sent a reliable contractor who promptly scheduled the appointment and completed the job and even explained what was involved in repair. Jam-packed services was a reliable contractor.

Don’t trust this company. My wife and I have been paying for sewer line insurance with them for the past 3 to 4 years. We recently discovered that the sewer line running beneath our basement floor and the sidewalk is cracked.
We have contacted them multiple times and twice they sent a plumber. Neither plumber had a camera to inspect the line to confirm the problem. The repair will require digging up the basement concrete and the sidewalk. But they keep telling us they don’t replace the line, just repair it. When we ask them to come repair it, they say it needs to be replaced, pretty much saying we paid for their insurance for years and they aren’t going to do anything for us. They also keep asking us why we are calling them if it’s not backed up or clogged, not really caring that it’s cracked.
Given this experience, we plan to post negative reviews and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, as well as with any other appropriate organizations. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

AWR website does not permit removing AMEX cards that AMEX no longer supports. Attempted to 'UPDATE' and feature does not work on account. Contacted existing customer service, spoke with JOE, very nice lady (OR AI) and JOE said they cannot remove a credit card. I explained I expected my second card on my account will be used, but ofcourse NO, my second card on file was not being used to keep the account paid on time. IS THIS A TRICKY WAY TO CONTROL MY CREDIT INFORMATION??? IS THIS A TRICK TO MAKE SURE MY ACCOUNT GOES UNPAID AND MUST START A DIFFERENT WAITING PERIOD?? Come ON!
