I ordered the Japanese meal to cook for a birthday celebration dinner. It was something we hadn't tried before and we weren't disappointed.
The step by step instructions were thorough and all the ingredients supplied were of top quality.
There was a good range of dishes and plenty for 4 adults

Summer BBQ Feast ☀️🍴
Wow! I was absolutely blown away by Cookaway's Summer BBQ Feast.
From the moment it arrived, you could tell real care had gone into it. Everything was beautifully packaged, even with the heatwave in mind, and all of the ingredients were incredibly fresh and well presented.
The steak was honestly one of the best I've ever tasted..... perfectly tender, juicy and packed with flavour. The citrus chicken was just as impressive, with every bite bursting with fresh citrus that made it so mouth wateringly delicious.
The griddled asparagus, courgette and feta was the perfect accompaniment to both meats, adding a fresh, light balance to the meal. And the red chimichurri was absolutely incredible – rich, vibrant and something I'd happily put on everything!
The recipe cards were easy to follow, and the end result looked just as good as it tasted. This felt like restaurant quality food from the comfort of home, and I'll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We were excited to try the summer bbq box. We did think the price quite steep for what was included in the box but thought it would mean a high quality of the ingredients, we were therefore extremely disappointed that the steak (which was the main dish in the box) was so chewy it was inedible. We cooked it as per instructions which was how we would normally prepare steak anyway but it was just awful and we ended up having shoot to the supermarket and get some replacement steak (which was 10x better). The matter was made worse by the lack of customer service after we complained with no compensation offered. Other food was fine but definitely not worth the money.

Fillet steak was tasteless, puff pastry was made with vegetable oil, expected all butter, overall very expensive for what it was. Disappointed.

The recipe itself was delicious and packaged beautifully. Customer service was excellent and proactive, calling to check up on dietary requirements rather than risk sending us the wrong thing! Would recommend.

Good to cook together, enjoyed the food.

The padron peppers were plentiful, but not very tasty as a stand alone dish.
Delivery was good and the quality of ingredients very good.

This is such a fabulous company. The recipes are so delicious and easy to do. Everything you need is neatly secure in ice packed boxes. I actually get excited opening it up!

Overpriced for recipe cards, plain flour and small bottle of olive oil. Potential for the packaging to cost more than the food though.

Your response is incorrect - ingredients comprised of flour, 2 enough for 2 flatbreads, a small jar of olive oil and tablespoon of red wine vinegar a sachet of salt and baking powder and Definitely not worth £16 with recipe cards for the one meal - ( yoghurt/ cucumber recipe, flatbread recipe, chicken skewer recipe and tomato and onion salad recipe. The meal for 2 with the meat ( chicken ) ingredient would have been £40 with the customer still using own ingredients.

Everything comes in one box which is exciting! I didn't need to measure out the ingredients which is another plus. Unfortunately the sea salt came in a plastic box was broken and the salt scattered everywhere inside the box. If there is video option to provide alongside the recipe, that would be perfect!

I was excited about my first order which I was advised would be delivered between 5 and 6pm last friday before the bank holiday. When it wasnt delivered I looked at the tracker which explained that it was delayed but would be with me soon. We waited and waited and finally went to bed having checked the doorstep before we retired. Nothing! I then found the parcel at 7am the following morning on the doorstep the app telling me that it had been delivered at shortly after 11pm. I opened the package but the Chicken was rank and had to go straight in the bin. I immediately emailed to complain and have now been contacted to say they will replace the parcel which is nice of them. It would seem that the delivery company have let them down which they say is very unusual.

Fantastic quality food all delivered exactly when ordered.

Easy to follow instructions and wonder tasting food

This was purchased as a birthday present, so we carefully chose when the best time to create this menu would be...

Food was delivered as email suggested.
Well packaged and each menu / recipe card identified specific contents for each dish.
Ideal to have exact amounts for the recipes, making it easy to just add to the preparation of the food.
Found the Spotify play list enhanced the ambience of preparation and cooking!
Good portions, and as there were just the two of us, it was great we didn't have to cook again the following day, as ample to provide another substantial meal. Regardless of the time it took to prepare, I did enjoy the experience, and am glad we have a dishwasher to clear up the copious bowls and utensils I used.
I think I would prefer to use chicken breast, as it can be cubed better for skewering, and feel I could have made the paneer cubes slightly smaller. Not a criticism - just an option for us, as the quantities provided were generous.
I shall look forward to sampling another cookaway meal, and maybe I can entice my husband to participate in the cooking!

Great tastes and easy to cook. Lasted the 2 of us three days

Delicious food. There was quite a bit to do with the Malaysian Night Market Experience but I rewally enjoyed making it. Friends and I enjoyed eating it too!
It would have been even better if I had remembered to add the sauce mixture to the Char Way Teow.
My fault entirely!
I was impressed with both the packaging and the quality of the ingredients. It was very comprehensive too.

We enjoyed the Spanish tapas dishes. Good quality ingredients, instructions easy to follow. Will definitely purchase these meals again. 😊

Ingredients were fresh. Instructions easy to follow and the portions needed were ready to be used. It was a pleasure to cook with my daughter. The food was amazing!!

The use of DPD meant the box was delivered to the wrong address 3 hrs late.My 92 yr old near neighbour had to drive it round. This gave no time to marinade and fully prep the rice. Chicken fresh and the mint and coriander but overall didnt come out well and did not taste anything like a tandoori chicken should.
