Truly enjoyable experience especially now with FSD
I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Tesla team for putting together such a fantastic, fun-for-all end-of-summer party at Westbury branch. Our family had an incredible time exploring the showroom, test-driving the Cybertruck, and completing the tablet activity list—which included a family photo, trying out the boombox, and watching the light shows etc. The kids absolutely loved the Cyberquad, getting their faces painted, and painting on a real Cybertruck. Munching on the great snacks and chicken nuggets, receiving a custom goodie bag with a tote, coloring book, and pen with Tesla Logo, and topping it off with ice cream made the day truly special. Experiencing this community firsthand makes me feel incredibly proud to be a Tesla owner, and I love that the event was open to everyone. It is a brilliant marketing strategy; by cutting out the middleman dealership, Tesla makes it possible for anyone to own a premium vehicle at a reasonable price without sacrificing quality. The Summer Party & EV Car Show back in 2022 in Tarrytown was also a great place to learn about aftermarket parts to personalize your vehicle. I even got a CNICK Tesla key ring there, which has saved me several times when my phone battery died and I didn't have a key card on hand. I would greatly appreciate more events like this in the future—they are remarkably informative and fun at the same time.
My ownership journey since 2021 has been incredibly smooth, and I haven't had to visit a traditional auto shop once. The only maintenance event I've encountered was a single, unrepairable flat tire, and Tesla Service turned a stressful breakdown into an absolute breeze by promptly sending a tow truck.
The only area where Tesla truly needs to improve is the trade-in program. After submitting detailed photos and receiving a finalized trade-in value, my offer was cut down significantly weeks after I picked up my new 2026 Model Y in Brooklyn. I wish Tesla would schedule a physical inspection with customers for a final value confirmation upfront, rather than dropping the price post-sale without providing a detailed explanation.
Other than that, thank you for constantly innovating to make life more affordable, safer, and enjoyable. The mobile app is incredibly smart and user-friendly. I am especially grateful for Sentry Mode. Knock on wood, I have never had an alarm go off, but imagining an unexpected hit-and-run where a truck with a trailer side-swipes your car and leaves the scene makes you realize what a crucial lifesaver it is. This is particularly true when parking in College Point (any densed industrial area), where LARGE commercial trucks frequently have to navigate tight corners when the parked cars jam packed both sides of the streets.
Finally, a quick note on Full Self-Driving: it is mind-blowing that the voice recordings I submit during manual interventions are actually reviewed and implemented. Thanks to those updates, my Tesla now confidently takes me to work on my exact preferred route every day. While FSD sometimes acts like a typical New Yorker on the highway—waiting until the absolute last second near the exit gore area to merge onto the 495—I can easily nudge it by hitting the turn signal so it merges safely without getting trapped at the island. It also struggles a bit when vehicles double-park without their 4-way flashers on, though it bypasses them beautifully when their hazards are blinking. However, FSD still struggles to adapt to sudden, large drops in speed limits. I recently drove through Virginia, which is heavily monitored by speed cameras. Whenever the speed limit dropped drastically, I immediately had to take over manually because FSD failed to slow down quickly enough, especially when set to a more assertive driving profile. Looking ahead, I hope future hardware updates add a camera or sensor dedicated entirely to detecting and avoiding large potholes. Thank you again for ANOTHER amazing event and an incredible ownership experience!
When asked about Tesla compared to many…
When asked about Tesla compared to many amazing Chinese cars in the market, I give two highlights: One is the connection and two is the fast charge network. The smart guys at Tesla just decided to charge me subscription for the connection. Guessing at thier next step, I think they will shortly double the fast charge cost. I think I'm done with Tesla!
My Tesla Wall Connector worked for…
My Tesla Wall Connector worked for approximately one year and then began tripping the breaker. The unit is still within its warranty period.
I hired a Class A Electrical Contractor and Master Electrician licensed by Technical Safety BC to inspect it. He checked the supply wiring and found it to be in proper condition. His professional conclusion was that there is a dead short between Line 2 and ground inside the Wall Connector’s back mounting terminal board.
Instead of accepting the electrician’s report and replacing the defective component, Tesla required an extensive additional checklist. This includes removing and photographing the breaker and bus bars, replacing the breaker, potentially moving it inside the panel, and paying for more electrical work before Tesla will decide whether to proceed with the warranty claim.
The electrician did not identify the breaker as defective. He identified a dead short inside the Tesla-supplied terminal board. I have asked Tesla to process the warranty claim or provide a written denial identifying the exact warranty provision supporting these additional requirements.
Tesla Solihull - excellent service!
This is for the Solihull Service Centre in Solihull.
My Tesla required some warranty work and I booked it into Tesla Solihull and the entire experience was outstanding from start to finish. The level of customer care and technical thoroughness provided by the team is exceptionally high.
A huge thanks to Max Cook, who greeted me and handled the check-in process. Beyond being welcoming and efficient, Max went out of his way to offer additional advice about my car. That kind of practical, knowledgeable insight is invaluable to an owner and sets a fantastic tone right from the moment you walk through the door.
I also want to highlight Matt Edwards, the vehicle technician who worked on my car. While carrying out the initial work, Matt proactively identified additional items that needed attention under warranty. Rather than overlooking them or leaving them for another visit, he clearly highlighted the issues to me and seamlessly completed the repairs.
Finding this level of proactive care, attention to detail, and top-tier customer service is rare. Max and Matt are a true credit to the Tesla Solihull team. Highly recommended!
I’d also like to mention Mike to was able to bring forward the time of my test drive as I’d got there early. I didn’t ask him to, he just did it another example of the high level of service you will enjoy here.
Great technology. Very disappointing customer experience.
Great product, extremely disappointing customer experience
I purchased a Tesla Powerwall 3, choosing Tesla because I believed it was one of the best products on the market. The £375 cashback offer, which was heavily promoted at the time, was also part of what encouraged me to go ahead with the purchase.
Unfortunately, my experience trying to claim the cashback has completely changed my opinion of Tesla.
My Powerwall was purchased through a Tesla Certified Installer and installed at the beginning of August. It was only once the installation was complete and I went to claim my £375 cashback that I discovered I was apparently required to have registered for the promotion before 30 June.
Neither Tesla nor the Certified Installer informed me that I needed to do this.
I asked for an exception, but Tesla refused because there was no record of me attempting to register or contacting them before the deadline. That completely misses the point. How could I have registered for something when I had never been told that registration was required?
More frustratingly, Tesla has acknowledged that responsibility for communicating the registration requirements sat with the Certified Installer. So through no fault of my own, I am now £375 worse off because that information was not communicated.
For a global company like Tesla, I find this extremely disappointing. You should not heavily promote a cashback incentive to encourage customers to buy your products and then rely on small print and poor communication with your own Certified Installer as a reason not to honour it.
The Powerwall itself is an impressive product, but customer service and how a company treats its customers when something goes wrong are equally important.
Based on this experience, I would think very carefully before buying another Tesla product and certainly before recommending Tesla to friends or family.
Great technology. Very disappointing customer experience.
Unhappy customers
I'm just put in solar and got two Tesla batteries they are big take up a whole wall Will they take all day to charge and they only last for about 6 to 7 hours. They also offer a Rebate that I've been waiting for 2 and a 1/2 months I called about it and nobody answers they want you to email and then it takes 72 hours for them to reply to tell you that it's coming soon and I'm still waiting for the Rebate. These batteries are nothing but junk my American batteries may probably last longer. Unhappy customer
SolarCity-Leased System Offline — Tesla Energy Provides No Real Support
I have a SolarCity‑leased solar system at a Ridgecrest, CA property that appears to be completely offline. My tenant’s utility report shows over 1,000 kWh of net usage, meaning the system is not producing at all.
I opened a service ticket through the Tesla app, but the stated response time is 5–7 business days, which is not acceptable for a leased system that is supposed to be monitored and maintained. Tesla Energy provides no functional support channels beyond the app. The phone number redirects back to the website, the website has no working contact form, and the published support emails bounce back as undeliverable.
Tesla has made it extremely difficult to get help for a system they are contractually responsible for. I am requesting immediate diagnostics and a technician visit, and I expect Tesla Energy to provide a working support pathway for customers with SolarCity leases.
GPS broken software causing paid features to break
Fix your god damn car software and gps. 250 km’s without proper gps due to a ferry ride? This happened in 2019, 2020, 2021 and now 2026, what the hell is going on? Paying for FSD and integration of super charging, with nothing working due to lousy gps retracking
They damaged my car beyond repair and are suing me for parking charges !
Tesla upgraded my car to take the new super charger connections. Mine is a 2015 model S. I managed to get 6 super charges before the harness got burnt out. Tesla said I needed to spend another £3,500 to fix this. So I did not thinking the previous work should be under warranty. The £3,500 repair failed leaving my car totally unable to charge on high or low voltage. Compared to it being ok before they did any work on it being able to charge both high and low. Amex refunded me because the repair failed. My car has been sat their outdoor facility and got vandalised. They said they would fix that. They did but now I have orange peel paint with scratches. Told them to fix that. They didnt. This is in addition to the failed repair. they want £40k for a new battery. The car has been sitting with them for 2 years now. I asked them to put it back to the charging on low so as it was when I took it in. they said they can't do that. Before any work was authorised I asked for a battery condition report to ensure spending more on the car was worth it as its a 2015 model. They refused the at the outset but confirmed in writing on the app my battery was in good operational order and suitable for the upgrade. I ended up needing to buy a new car. They issued court proceedings for £25k for parking charges at their facility and £25k for the courtesy car that I kept and didnt return although they disabled it and I couldn't use it anyway. My courtesy car contract said it needed to be returned when the service / repair was complete. It's not complete. So £50k + court cost. Could be in the region of £200k. No one can get their head around this even me.
Tesla Uk is horrible
Tesla Uk is horrible.
I placed my order in June, when it offers trade-in-bonus £3750, the car will be ready for September.
Once the date is close to pick up the new car, Tesla withdraw my trade-in-bonus without reason. I've messaged them and it keeps saying the offer ends.
I understand the offer ends right now, but I do have this offer when I placed my order, I can't understand their answer "the offer ends". I placed my order within your promotion period, I agreed what you offer me when I placed order, I have to wait until the new car arrival which I have to wait about 2 months, you can't take off from what you offer from me in this period because you can not give me the new car once I placed order. You take off my offer within this window and you tell me it's because "offer ends"?
I’ve always wanted a Tesla
I’ve always wanted a Tesla . Was so excited when I was finally able to get one. Gathered all the money and patiently waited. The eta was 3 -5 weeks, then it shifted to the 1st-15th . Then it changed to a faster time 29th-09. I wasn’t ready then for delivery but I got ready and then two days into that they pushed my date out further. I was upset but saw a vin so was excited since a vin usually means things are better from there on. Guess what coming into the new window of 7th to 20th. In the middle of the eta . They took my vin and pushed it back. The customer service is nice , but they read off a script to you . Their big thing is “these are ETAs -Estimates “. No they aren’t they change so much you cannot have an idea when it’s coming. So basically they can’t tell you when, how and anything to help you along this process. They have no idea when you will get a car . I need this car to arrive because my lease is ending. This is the worst experience of buying a car these etas are not real . They are only there to get you to spend money and make it seem reasonable to when you will get your car. I would be embarrassed of my company for operating like this . They really need to fix this .just a absolute let down , can’t believe I wanted one of these for so long !
I would think twice about buying a…
I would think twice about buying a Tesla, despite the fact that we are alive today because we were driving a Tesla when a wild boar jumped out on the motorway in front of us driving at 130 kph. Getting parts to repair the car (the insurance company said it can be repaired!), is a very lengthy wait (2-3 months at least)... and for one part (the passenger side airbag) there actually is no delivery date available! When I called our Tesla customer support in France today to find out what the deal is with the unavailability of this part... the lady kept interrupting me, did not listen at all to what I was saying and said she had no info on parts. When I tried to break through and ask her who I could contact, she said there is no one and that the garage has to ask the professional line. I told her that the garage has been trying to get updated information every few days for the past month through the professional line to absolutely no avail, she said that there was no other way to get information like that. No parts, no information, no service.
Bottom line : TESLA has ZERO "Customer Service" or at least none that actually provide service!! We are now left with no car and no idea when the car will be fixed. We were considering buying another TESLA because it is a very safe car, but with "customer service" like that, why would we? They really couldn't care less about after sales service. Totally useless!!!
Appalling customer services and extremely poor managers
I am utterly appalled by the disgraceful standard of customer service I have received from Tesla Support EMEA.
Tesla has been taking subscription payments from my account without my authorization since April 2025 and now owes me nearly £150. Despite the seriousness of this issue, I have been met with astonishing indifference, incompetence and a complete lack of accountability.
It took two weeks for a manager even to review my case. I was then told that a refund had finally been authorized and would take 7–14 days—already an unreasonably long timeframe. After waiting 17 days, Tesla refunded just £9.99, a tiny fraction of the amount it has taken from me.
At no stage has anyone provided a meaningful update, answered my questions or explained what has happened. Messages and emails have been ignored, information has apparently not been recorded properly, and departments seem incapable of communicating with one another. The only person I managed to speak to told me that Tesla does not even have a complaints procedure. When I challenged the incorrect refund and asked for an explanation, Tesla’s response was simply to close the case without answering me.
Closing a customer’s case while still owing them money—and without addressing a single substantive question—is not customer service. It is contemptuous, unacceptable and an extraordinary way for a company of Tesla’s size to treat its customers.
My company operates a fleet of nine vehicles, but this experience has completely destroyed our confidence in Tesla. I am now actively looking at how to exit our lease arrangements and move the fleet to BYD as soon as possible. Tesla’s refusal to resolve a relatively straightforward billing issue may ultimately cost it the business of an entire fleet.
I expect the case to be reopened immediately, the full outstanding amount to be refunded, and a formal written explanation and apology from a senior manager. Tesla must also explain how unauthorized payments were allowed to continue for so long and why my case was closed while the matter remained unresolved.
I would not recommend purchasing a used…
I would not recommend purchasing a used vehicle from Tesla based on my experience.
After I reserved a used vehicle online 2024 plate, Tesla sent me an email stating that the vehicle has involved in an accident or damage and repaired by Tesla or third party. Concerned by this, I contacted Tesla before collection and specifically asked whether the vehicle had been involved in an accident. I was told that it had not and that the matter related only to repairs to the liftgate. I also requested evidence of the repairs but was informed that this information was confidential.
Relying on that information, I travelled to the Bristol Delivery Centre to collect the vehicle. On arrival, I again asked whether the vehicle had been involved in an accident and was initially told that it had not. It was only after I produced Tesla’s own email that the matter was escalated and I was informed that the vehicle had in fact been involved in an accident and had undergone repairs. Had I been provided with accurate information from the outset, I would not have collected the vehicle.
After taking the vehicle home, I also discovered an issue with the display, where part of the navigation screen appeared blank.
I exercised my legal right to reject the vehicle and returned it in accordance with Tesla’s instructions. Despite this, Tesla deducted £258.40 from my refund for mileage, including the distance travelled from the Bristol collection centre to my home and the journey to return the vehicle to Tesla in Manchester, both of which arose directly from the collection and return process.
Communication throughout the process was disappointing. Emails often went unanswered, making it unnecessarily difficult to resolve straightforward issues
My advice to anyone considering purchasing a used Tesla is to ask detailed questions about the vehicle’s history, request everything in writing, and ensure all concerns are fully resolved before accepting delivery. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Tesla’s used vehicle service.
Awful car, warranty, customer service..everything!
I was not able to test drive the car I purchased, as I couldn’t get into the car until I signed the paperwork that I didn’t even get a copy of. Nor was it explained or notated anywhere that I would’ve had 48 hours to return the vehicle.
As I started driving home I was about 15 min into the drive when I tried to use the Full Self Driving mode (Supervised) and the car immediately drove over the line saying “Lane Departure, take control immediately” and the self driving mode was turned off. Then I saw on the screen yellow caution triangles and an image of the car and tires and it said the front and back right tires plus the back left tire were all 3 at 31 psi and the front left was at 41. I turned around and drove back to the dealership in Aurora. When i got there I was ignored before I received help. I explained what happened and they took the car back and got all of the tires to the correct psi and said the self driving mode worked fine.
I then drove home. I have had the car for 2 weeks and 1 day as of today and it not only has self driving mode issues almost constantly, where it will flash on the screen that it is in the mode and then out of the mode, sometimes actually turning it off and sometimes not. It pulls me to the right or left as if self driving mode is turned on when it is not at least 1-2 times per drive in each direction (each direction is usually about 30 min tops). Sometimes it requires me to apply slight turning pressure to the steering wheel while self driving is on, I’m assuming to make sure I’m paying attention, as if staring at the road as it requires and yells at me if I look away for 10 seconds isn’t enough to show I’m paying attention. Can’t apply too much pressure tho because that will turn off the self driving which counts negatively against me for the insurance with Tesla. The battery will go from 100%-50% in 1 hour and 40 mins, so the battery dies after 3 hours and 20 min and the average in which it decreases in charge varies constantly. At first I thought that would be because Sometimes the amount i am charged at the super charging stations range from ~$8 for 20-25% charge and then $80 for 45% charge, neither during peak hours. Getting ahold of a real person when calling tesla has been a nightmare and the insurance cost being raised after the first 2 months at a 90 safety score due to the car being driving poorly I would assume has made my insurance go from $161-$471 as of today and it’s only been 2 weeks. This car is not even safe to drive as it pulls itself when self driving is not on which is extremely dangerous and battery doesn’t last it pretty much stays at a steady decline. Overall I do not feel even a little bit safe in this car, it wasn’t even ready for me to pick it up at the delivery appointment due to the tires and then it wasn’t even cleaned when I picked it up. Oh and when you are buying a car online on the Tesla website you don’t get to see the interior or exterior to know if it has any stains or dings. The real kicker though is that I now have a loan for this piece for ~$20k ($19,847) and the car is only worth ~$15-$16k a difference of what I put down as a deposit…I got totally screwed so all I can say is STAY AWAY FROM TESLA CARS if you don’t want your life to be a headache due to the constant stress when driving this car and the money drained and draining out of your wallet.
Every week they push back the estimated…
Every week they push back the estimated delivery date. The initial estimate was September, and now they're saying December. I bought a car, but I never know when I'll actually get it.
Not What I Expected
I was really looking forward to my Tesla delivery, but the whole experience fell flat. When my Model 3 finally arrived, the paint job had a few inconsistencies that I didn’t expect from a premium brand. There were noticeable swirl marks that made it look like it had been buffed poorly, and I honestly thought it might have been a factory oversight. The delivery was also a bit slow; I had to wait almost two hours past the scheduled time without much communication from the staff. I get that sometimes things can go wrong, but for such a high-end purchase, I expected more proactivity in keeping me updated. Plus, the customer service was less than helpful when I tried to address the paint issue; it felt like they brushed me off instead of genuinely trying to help. Overall, I really wanted to love this car, but the combination of the delivery delay and the flaws in the finish left me more than a little disappointed. It’s a shame, because I know Tesla has a strong reputation, but this experience didn’t live up to it at all.
toy cars
where are the times with the boss cars and v8 v12 why are you doing this tesla just why?
shame on you destrying the car business!
I ordered a Tesla in June that was…
I ordered a Tesla in June that was estimated to be ready by September, according to their web site. Within 60 seconds of placing the order someone called me asking could I pick a new car up that day, over 120 miles away from where I live - not to mention getting the deposit, insurance, car charger installed, tax etc, which obviously I wasn't ready for. Also, I am not prepared to travel over 120 miles to pickup a car when there are much closer options. I have requested numerous times a call from Tesla to discuss, in three weeks I had 1 call from them which I missed and they didn't leave a number or call back despite multiple requests.
I've no idea on the quality of the cars, I didn't get that far. Tesla are a faceless organisation that don't want to talk to anyone. If you are looking for a proper car buying experience I'd go elsewhere.
I was given a 1:00 appointment at Tesla…
I was given a 1:00 appointment at Tesla Mount Kisco New York. Told car would be done by 3:00. As you can tell they did not keep their word since I am writing this review from Tesla Mount Kiscos service area. Not only did they fail to keep the time they also refuse a loaner refuse to say when the car will be ready while I look at four workers joking around with each other doing no work while I sit here at 4:16 waiting for my car. Avoid buying a Tesla at all costs
They are no longer the only game in town so you don't have to be treated poorly by condescending workers at an arrogant company
