Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 942 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many people encountered significant issues with product quality, reporting that items like laptops, phones, TVs, and appliances broke down prematurely or had defects. Customers frequently expressed dissatisfaction with customer service, describing it as unhelpful, unresponsive, and difficult to navigate when seeking repairs or warranty claims. The high cost of repairs and parts, often coupled with products failing outside of warranty, also contributed to a negative perception of value. Conversely, some people were satisfied with certain products, noting good smartphones with excellent cameras and smooth displays, and finding some tablets easy to use. However, these positive experiences were overshadowed by widespread frustrations concerning product longevity and support.

Poor quality fridge and frustrating…

Poor quality fridge and frustrating customer service. Ten month old fridge. Shelf spontaneously cracked. One rep assured it would be replaced but call dropped. Subsequent reps refused to honour the replacement. Many calls and emails with just generic replies that read like a form letter. I would not recommend this company or product.

Bring back the Samsung girl ;D

They really need to make it where you don't need your phone number to sign in to samsung on your phone when you already have an account... Im not talking about "step 2 verification", they're requiring me to input a phone number when I dont have one at all. Shouldn't have to pay money just to use what the company claims to be its "Wild Factor" because you already paid by buying the product itself!

liars

I purchased a phone through samsung and opted to trade in my old phone for a credit of $160 off the price of the new phone. I used an affirm payment plan on this new phone. Once I received the new phone, I had a certain amount of time to mail the old one in for the refund. I mailed it before the date it needed to be mailed by. I start getting emails that they never received my return and that I would be charged the $160 from the card I had to put in. I reached out to customer support and they found that the phone had been received. I foolishly though the situation was resolved.
A few days later, I get charged the $160 that I really didn't have to spare. I freaked out and emailed support. They told me that the phone was being examined, and not to worry because they would refund the $160 if they accepted it. Now, let's just unpack that: why are they charging me money if they don't know yet? There was nothing in the fine print that said I would be charged no matter what upon mailing it back. But what am I going to do about it, right? In any case, they assured me I would get my money back if they accepted the condition of the phone.
So let's fast forward to today. I just received an email from both samsung and affirm. They accepted my trade-in. That's great, right? Except instead of refunding me directly, using the card they charged, pulling money I made clear I NEEDED back in my bank account, they sent it to affirm, who used it towards my balance. I am SEETHING. I don't need 3-ish fewer payments; I need the $160 they took from me back where they took it from. DISGUSTING way to do business.

Escalated my failed Samsung Watch5Pro…

Escalated my failed Samsung Watch5Pro to the 'highest level' in Samsung and they still wouldn't budge. Bought my £500 watch 2 years and 1 month ago. Watch is rated IP68 / ATM5. I didn't even take it in the swimming pool (which it's OK for) but just used it for golf. It failed, sent it in for a repair - told there was water ingress into the watch and it would cost £180 to repair as there were so many parts that had issues. I argued that an IP68 watch should not have water ingress, but was told by Samsung Customer "Solutions" that after the warranty then it's not their issue. Even telling Samsung that there were many reports of the same issues on the internet so it's a fault with the product - got no where.

Can't believe I have bought so many Samsung devices in the past. Not anymore - corrupt company who don't care about their customers.

SAMSUNG SMARTPHONES & TABLETS EXCELLENT!

Samsung's smartphones & tablets, though slightly expensive have really been extremely productive to me in the last ten years. Hats off really.

Especially, in comparison to iPhones & other Apple devices which are super expensive & very low on productivity & very complex.

Samsung customer service sucks

I am writing to formally express my frustration and disappointment regarding my 3 attempts and the ongoing issues I have experienced attempting to complete these purchase. The order was placed on June 27 during Samsung’s Fourth of July promotional sale. As part of this purchase, I received promotional discounts that were being offered by Samsung, including a military discount that I earned and rightfully qualified for. Since placing the order, Samsung has repeatedly returned my payment to my bank despite my bank authorizing the transaction multiple times. This issue has occurred several times, and each time I have contacted Samsung for assistance, I have been given conflicting information and passed from one representative to another without any meaningful resolution. My case number is 376773994. I am asking that Samsung run my credit card that is on file at the amount that I agreed to pay $3077.64 which shows pending in my account and let the transaction complete. I have placed 3 orders with Samsung and cancelled all z3 I will not purchase anything else from Samsung. We are building our new home and all our appliances from were the bespoke. Take my business elsewhere. The customer service is so terrible and they are so rude Samsung. I’m surprised they are still in business.

Dear Samsung,
I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding product misrepresentation, deceptive sales practices, and unacceptable customer treatment at one of your official retail stores.
On Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:30 PM, I purchased a Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ for AED 2,530. Before making the purchase, we explicitly asked the sales representative about the compatibility and performance of a specific application (GoodNotes). The salesman assured us without reservation that the app runs smoothly and works perfectly on this device.
However, immediately after purchasing and testing the tablet, we found that the application does not function properly at all.
Summary of the Issue & Incident Timeline:
Sunday, July 19, 2026: We returned to the store to report the issue. The staff deflected responsibility, claiming the issue was solely with the app. However, when we tested the same application on a different device, it worked flawlessly. We were kept waiting in the store for over 5 hours without any solution. To make matters worse, we were treated extremely poorly and disrespectfully by the store manager, Mr. Asghar.
Monday, July 20, 2026: We returned again to resolve the matter (spending another 3 hours from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM), only for the store manager to state that he cannot guarantee the app will ever work on this device—directly contradicting the salesman's initial promise that led to the purchase.
Our Demand:
We were misled into buying a device under false pretenses, made to suffer hours of wasted time, and subjected to highly unprofessional treatment by your branch staff and manager.
Because we reported the issue immediately the following day, and due to the clear misrepresentation by your sales team, I demand an immediate intervention to authorize a full refund of AED 2,530 and accept the return of the device.
I expect a swift resolution to this matter before submitting my formal review and rating regarding this experience with Samsung.
Sincerely,
Abdulrahman Yasser

Galaxy trade in rip off

I have bought phones straight from Samsung for years, trading in my old phones for money off the price of the new phone. Just recently (June) I traded my Galaxy S24 Ultra in on a Galaxy S26 Ultra. When I sent my phone in everything worked on it. I did as the requested and factory reset everything, even made sure it was fully charge and sent it in the original box it came in. I transfered files to my computer and transfered some things from my phone to my car before sending it. My phone was purple and had no issues. They send me back a message saying my phone didn't meet the requirements. This is what it said: Your trade in device is not able to pass the data wipe test. The charging and data port on your device is damaged and does not support data transfers. With pictures the phone in the picture is blue not purple and it show it running. They said when I called that it didn't matter what color the phone in the picture was it was my imei number that didn't work so I would have to pay the full price for the phone. Their email also said I could click on the link within 7 days and get my phone back. I tried the link several times and it went no where. I asked about getting my phone back and they said it was to late to get it back. That was 5 days after receiving the email. I will never buy from Samsung again. They lost a loyal brand customer. ( My, tvs, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, even the fridge in my camper is Samsung).

I would like to share my extremely…

I would like to share my extremely disappointing experience.

Less than three years ago, we purchased a Samsung refrigerator that cost approximately $4,000. After some time, the plastic trim and exterior plastic components around the refrigerator began to crack. As time went on, more cracks appeared in different areas around the refrigerator. The appliance has never been dropped, hit, or physically damaged in any way. I have photos that clearly document the issue.

I first contacted Trail Appliances, where I purchased the refrigerator. They informed me that their warranty only lasts one year and advised me to contact Samsung Canada directly.

When I contacted Samsung Canada, I was extremely disappointed with their customer service. Instead of helping resolve what appears to be a clear manufacturing defect, they simply directed me back to the retailer. The only solution they offered was for me to purchase replacement plastic parts at my own expense and also pay for the installation myself. In other words, Samsung refused to take responsibility for the defect.

I then researched the issue online and found that many other Samsung refrigerator owners have reported the exact same problem. This clearly indicates that my case is not an isolated incident but a common issue.

As a result, I have been treated like a football, being sent back and forth between the retailer and the manufacturer, while neither company is willing to take responsibility or provide a real solution.

After spending $4,000, I expected a premium-quality product backed by reliable customer support. Instead, I experienced poor product quality and some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend either Samsung or Trail Appliances. The product quality has been extremely disappointing, and the after-sales support has been even worse. I hope my review helps other customers make a more informed decision before purchasing.

I wish Samsung would be themselves again...

The score firstly is because I had always trusted and stuck with Samsung, but unfortunately, I am making this review because they as a company have seemed to lose the meaning behind the brand, like being different than others being a stand-out company, now they're trying to make everything like apple, which on their own is a shitty company, no need to bring their faulty type products to the good side of things. Features going unavailable is heart-wrenching, never have I ever heard or seen complaints like apple with fraud cases out the wazoo, so I don't understand why features that help people keep access to their devices when they are not technologically advanced are being removed, the phones are becoming uncherishable like apple where you have to buy a new phone just to get upgrades or get new features. Honestly really upset at the brand for losing its intelligence, easy accessibility and its customer satisfaction focus, maintaining customers mind at ease from what feels like loss of life and integrity as many people's phone contain much about themselves.

Worst experience with Samsung team, warranty team, claims as well as support team

I purchased a Samsung Bespoke Family Hub Refrigerator from Samsung.com in the month of May 2025. Unfortunately in the 3rd week of June 2026 we had an issue with the display panel where it was not connecting and the WiFi was also not connecting due to which we were not able to operate or control the fridge. We had a warranty of 3 years. So we contacted the Samsung team and they have sent a technician from their end. Now they said that the panel is not working and they will order a new front door panel. After one week they dropped an email yesterday July 20th saying they can't replace the panel..so they have given an option of to replace the entire product or the reimbursement. They gave us 2 business days to decide and contact them. Today I contacted them and now they're saying that they have already released the cheque. What a worst team they have, without contacting us or checking our opinion of what we would like to choose, they themselves have decided to release the cheque. Worst ever experience I have Samsung. Now if I wanted to buy the same product it's 3600 + tax + again warranty charges. So almost it will cost me from $4000 to $4500. Where as the cheque they released is $3199. I wanted to opt for replacement of the fridge bcoz I had my extended warranty. Either they have sold me a damaged refrigerator or the Samsung itself is doing fraud with the customers. How come within 14 months of purchase a display will be disconnected, how come they are not manufacturing the same panels anymore? Either it's a failed or not worth series to develop.hoe come a advance Samsung is no more caring about what customers are looking for? How can they decide and they released the cheque? Never buy from this Samsung.

Recently upgraded our two older phones…

Recently upgraded our two older phones (S21 &S23 Ultra). Offered $500 for the S23 Ultra as part of the Samsung trade-in program. Followed all the steps to wipe and reset both phones - this is not the first time we have utilized the trade-in program- and sent them off.
We received notification via email on July 20th that the S23 Ultra did not pass their data wipe test and that we could request the phone sent back, or if they didn't hear from us, it would be recycled. The email clearly stated that we had three days to respond or by the 17th of July. Both options meant we would be charged the $500 that they had offered for the phone.
What? They sent the email on July 20th and were saying we only had until the 17th to respond. Out of panic we selected the only option available, a button that said 'return my trade-in'. Then we realized after looking online that this seemed to be a common issue (failing due to data wipe test) with the trade-in program and we contacted customer service within minutes to see if we could straighten it out or get more details on the data wipe test and why it didn't pass.
Customer service chat went as expected. Sorry, can't do anything about it since you requested the trade-in sent back. Again, what? This was literally minutes ago and per the email the only option we had since it indicated they had wanted a response by the 17th, even though they only emailed us on the 20th.
Very disappointed in Samsung. We have been loyal customers since the 2010s but this makes us rethink it. The trade-in S23 Ultra was in perfect condition, and we followed all reset guidelines. The fact that they were unwilling to try to find a solution to a problem created by their deceptive email, that had the wrong dates, is beyond frustrating. I wonder how often they do this kind of thing?

Samsung Refrigerators Not Worth the $$.

I bought a Samsung Fridge in 2022. The first time it went out was in 2024. The compressor had to be replaced. Twice.
I lived with a borrowed fridge for 6-7 weeks, tho that took at least a week to put in place. Meanwhile I'm living out of 3 coolers that must be re-filled with ice every couple of days. This may be fine when I"m camping, but not for daily living.
4 weeks ago, the compressor failed again for the 4th time. I again lost ~$300 of food, especially the frozen stuff. No tech available to even come check it for 7 days.
I couldn't stomach the idea of going through the whole process again, even though I was confident that the problem would be covered by the warranty. I'd still be out the $120 for the initial diagnostic visit.
4 system failures in 4 years. That was enough. I cancelled the tech appointment and ordered a new fridge.

I was really looking forward to my new Galaxy phone, but it didn't quite meet my expectations. The battery life is underwhelming, draining faster than I thought it would. Plus, the delivery took longer than promised, which was frustrating. I expected better from Samsung, honestly.

Don't buy a Samsung TV they don't stand behind their products. Bought a $1400 Samsung TV and it is not as good as the $300 tv's they sell at Walmart. Buy the cheapest TV on the market. They are all built to last just a few years or even less. They told me to throw away a $1400 tv purchased 17 months ago. Pure junk.
