Beware extortionate out-of-hours rates. Pirtek declined to state their rates in advance and ignored my complaint afterwards. The quality of the repair work was fine, but insist on a price before calling these guys out.

I only gave 5 stars because I cannot give 10. My 35 year old BMW 850i had had a leaking HP Power Steering hose for longer than I care to admit, until finally it became dire, and undriveable. The replacement is, you guessed it: no longer available, though I'm told some are out there somewhere at staggering prices.
I got it off, and sent it to Dave, at Pirtek, Telford on Tuesday. I was hopeful, but not over optimistic. He sent it back to me on Friday. FIXED! Not only fixed, but with the connections in the correct orientation, ready to fit back in place; which I did today, Saturday.
Huge thanks to them; they are top-notch at what they do, and to have it back so quickly was the icing.

I needed new hydraulic hoses to operate the softtop roof mechanism on a 1972 classic car.
Mike took on the challenge, found a solution and made 4 bespoke hoses which fitted the car without issue and sealed first time. He couldnt have been more helpful.

Just to say what a great guy - quick, knowledgeable, excellent engineer.

Also the phone contact, Jason I believe, another excellent guy. The service, speed, value - superb. It was such a quick result from contact, visit, fix there and then. 2 trim tab pipes replaced, tested, the lot by 12 midday. Arrived at 10.

We will use you again and spread the word round the marina. Deserved.

I had a leaking power steering return pipe on my 2006 Touareg, the replacement wasnt available anymore. My wife took the old part to the Trafford Park depot. She dealt with Dean who fought with it for a while, and came back with a replacement. which was promptly dropped off and fitted to the car. Big thank you to Pirtek and particularly Dean.

We had a hydraulic hose ripped off a mini plainer at a site in Stevenage on Friday 29th May 26, within the hour Kirsty from the Harlow Pirtek depot arrived and got us up and running with a temporary fix, great service and speedy repair saved us from having to abort the job.

Stopped at the side of one of the pirtek vans at traffic lights, driver of this vehicle was enjoying smoking a spliff whilst puffing the weed smell into our vehicle at the side. Not only dangerous but a very poor advertisement for pirtek

Mike at Pirtek, southampton repaired a clutch hose that was no longer available from Citroen, while I waited, thus saving me from scrapping a good car . Sevice with a smile and a joke, would recommend this branch to all. Thanks Mike.

bought a Pirtek car care kit, great value loads of handy items to keep my car clean and shiny, lets have some dry days now to get max use out of it all, thanks Pirtek Crawley for all your help way and above beyond excellent customer service skills by Dan friendly and polite every time.

Amazing company! They are genuine, super friendly, and really go out of their way to help. I had an issue with my item and even though they weren’t able to find the part or fix it completely, they still tried their best and didn’t charge me a penny. It’s rare to find a business that puts people first like this. Highly recommend

We called them to come have a look at a hydraulic hose replacement in our forklift.

The gentelman on the phone asked for £200 deposit paid prior to visit. I insisted on knowing at least a rough cost estimate prior to their visit to avoid a nasty surprise. I sent him photos of the job and forklift model so he could estimate the price which he quoted to be in the range of £400-450.

He seemed to be pushy to charge that deposit as called a couple of times to get that charged. Once on site, the quote was raised to £950 + VAT. Of course, we refused that so they wanted to charge us over £100 for the callout. We never received any explanation why this quote doubled while on site. What Pirtek did not know was that we had obtained two other quotes prior to their visit one at £380 plus VAT and the other at £550 plus VAT.

How could the initial quote be so miscalculated if they are "hose specialist" and do this kind of work daily?

We ended up getting both hoses from a local shop for the total of £220 and replaced those ourselves. It took us, complete newbies, 1 hour and 15 minutes. That basically means Pirtek wanted £700 for labour... Shocked at the whole experience...

Appalling company.
They have been contacted about their employees trespassing and parking the van in a private (and designated) parking space.
The driver was also advised not to park there.
But every weekend, the Pirtek van WM19 GXX is dumped on my driveway.
We have decided we are going to install an electric gate or a bollard.

I contacted Pirtek via email regarding a dangerous and unpleasant experience with one of their vans.

Their level of concern was reflected in the fact that they didn’t even bother responding.

I went into PIRTEK Edinburgh today. It was not a pleasant experience. The guy there was rude, abrupt and impatient.

He did replace the faulty part, but his abrupt customer skills were very poor, to the point of embarrassment.

They just lost a customer.
