Stone cold food
A wetherspoons is always a great place to eat or drink for everyone.
However recently it has been noted that some of the food served (that should be hot) is stone cold - apparently such food isn't kept on the hot plates.
I appreciate that there is the usual hospitality rule of 'serving the group together' but maybe this should be a question given to the customer.
For information we are a family and the children's food was the food that was stone cold. I also appreciate there are food hygiene basis for this but still the feeling of a cooked meal for a customer the visible barometer is always going to be 'is the food warm or hot on the surface'.
Hopefully this is an issue that can be addressed.
5 staff, only two actually serving.
5 staff, only two of the serving. Kept serving people at one end of the bar, whilst customers at the other end were ignored. Shocking service, waited 25 mins for a pint, ended up walking out sans beer. Moon under water, Wigan.

Im on a gluten free diet & went to Tredegar spoons for breakfast. I explained my requirements & staff found out all the information needed so i could eat safely. Staff were helpful & friendly. Food was lovely. Highly recommended
Poor meal & Service at The Queens, Maltby.
The Queens, Maltby:
We order two meals & drinks soon after arrival but the meals took 25 MINUTES to arrive and both were on the tepid side.
I asked for the Manager who was the person who served us (Chandler?) and asked about their rule of: “aim to serve all food orders within 10 minutes of placement”
His reply was, “we have been really busy” - NOT TRUE as they weren’t overly busy and most tables were empty.
His ‘apology’ was forced, delivered smugly and with folded arms (defensively).
That was the worst meal and service from any Wetherspoons’ we have ever visited.
I suggest Wetherspoon’s Retail Auditors visit this Pub and review its working practices.

Amazing service from liv would definitely come again !!
I went to Barnstaple premises on…
I went to Barnstaple premises on Thursday walked in sat down, table was minging menus, covered in food so left right away. It’s so sad because the chain was once the best good value, plenty on your plate. End for me, although most restaurants are much the same nowadays
Smoky Spud Tastes Great But Beef Was Noticeably Absent
I tried the Smoky Spud Gourmet Jacket Potato this lunchtime at The Winter Seam at Castleford. It was really tasty and spicy (which is why I ordered it) and the potato and salad were both good, but the amount of pulled Beef Brisket in the BBQ sauce was very disappointing. I assume that these come in measured portions to microwave so I didn't return the food, although initially I thought that maybe the beef had been completely missed out as it was barely detectable in the sauce. I have given 4 stars as the staff were great as was the taste of the food, but it is a disgrace to describe it as a meat dish.
Ordered a drink via app
Ordered a drink via app. Was told it was coming twice... Still waiting 30 mins later...

Its an awful place and should be shut down, the only good thing is the work places are clean but the staff just don't care at all, they are mostly rude
Manager at Congleton Lily never…
Manager at Congleton Lily never provides any help when asked to. She doesn’t deliver any customer service to paying customers. I literally sat there waiting ages for my drink and eventually went to ask where it was and was told they had checked the table and no one was sat there, I literally hadn’t moved the whole time! Breakfast food is always stone cold. Flies everywhere! Flat lager.
What a lovely Wetherspoon
We stayed at The Thomas Ingoldsby, Canterbury
The room was lovely and clean, the bed was comfortable and we had two good nights sleep,
They provided us with Tea, Coffee, Hot chocolate, biscuits and water, they thought of everything they even provided us with plant based milk. They had an iron and ironing board and a hair dryer, all the staff were friendly welcoming and the cleaning staff were lovely and when you stay you get free coffee at the bar too, will definitely stay again where ever we are. Canterbury is very interesting with of history, we parked at the park and ride at new Dover Road and at £4 per day you really can’t complain. Everything was brilliant for our two day stay
Long wait for food poor produce
Long wait for food over an hour, Thursday curry night was disappointing, chicken was incredibly poor quality, could have got a better microwave meal out of Tesco
Only went in for one and regret it
Only went in for one and regret it. Place is a dive and staff attitude is shocking
Visited Wetherspoon in Tonbridge today…
Visited Wetherspoon in Tonbridge today and they were completely out of burgers and their new chicken lunches were also out of stock. I asked for a pint of Doom bar and both pumps were dry. Not surprising that the pub was half empty
SHIT worst "restaurant" there is
Banned a loyal regular instead of investigating staff misconduct
I have been a loyal, long-standing regular at The Chequers Inn (Stourbridge) for years. After a staff member refused to take payment over a simple breakfast substitution question and falsely accused me of rudeness, I raised a formal complaint. Central support initially dismissed it with a generic template. Following my escalation to Head Office (CEO office), Wetherspoon decided to issue a formal pub ban rather than reviewing CCTV or addressing their staff's confrontational conduct. Instead of taking accountability, they use licensing discretion to silence and ban regular customers who raise legitimate concerns. Shocking lack of customer care and a complete cover-up by management.
A pale shadow of what Wetherspoons was…
A pale shadow of what Wetherspoons was a decade ago. Food is now poor, in particular.
It was awful I was really disappointed…
It was awful I was really disappointed in the staffs behaviour and they got my food wrong. They put tomato on my burger when I specifically said I was mildly allergic too. I was really disappointed not happy
Tim we all know things are tough, but stop the lies!
Suddenly a reappearance of the "Clubs" menu, but it says "New Clubs", No, they are the same clubs after "Steak Night" was Sadly ditched in favour of the awful burger club, the only difference is ALL of the prices have increased!
It also says "Lower Prices" which is an outright lie, ALL the prices have INCREASED.
Fish and chips meal
Whatever you do. DO NOT ORDER or even EAT Wetherspoons fish and chips from there Nottingham Centre branch. Primarily because the battered fish turned up with no fish in it!!!! It was just batter in the shape of a fish!!!??? 🤢🤮 For the price wetherspoons charge. You would expect to find some kind of fish? Worst meal EVER.
