Another fine example of corporate greed. I believe this is the 3rd time fuel prices have sky rocketed? Supermarkets adjusted their prices the first time around no? Did they drop prices once fuel costs had settled? Also no. Then Sainsbury’s have the delightful cheek to send a generic email stating ‘we know times are hard, we’re doing everything we can to keep prices low’ yet come the end of the next quarter you’re declaring record profits! Prices just go up while your food quality just drops, surely that means you have plenty of room for more prices cuts? Or will you just use that profit to tickle your share holders and employ more security to punish people who are now resorting to stealing food out of desperation, forgive me I forgot about your food bank box by the front door…that paying customers donate to.
Went shopping at Sainsburys sn14 location.
Store assistant opened another till. Unfortunately they were back to back, so two lots of customers in the same aisle bumping into each other, CHAOS.
A cleaner that is always messing about and getting in the customers way ,then decided to push between the shoppers with his cleaning equipment. When I told him " for heavens sake use an empty aisle" he then grabbed my trolley and stopped me from moving it. It told him to remove his hand. He then went in my face and swore at me. He then stood there smirking and being abusive. I told him in a loud voice "go away". He then pushed through the rest of the people and started being abusive again. I ignored him and packed my shopping and paid for it while he stood there grinning.
YES SAINSBURYS THIS IS ALL ON CCTV. NICE TO KNOW YOU ARE EMPLOYING PEOPLE THAT YOU ALLOW TO THREATEN AND ABUSE YOUR CUSTOMERS .
WONDERFUL SHOPPING EXPERIENCE.
I’d like to make a complaint about the way I was treated by a manager in one of your stores Sainsbury's in Drumchapel (located at 10 Allerdyce Road)
I went into the shop carrying my puppy, who hasn’t had his second vaccination yet. I wasn’t letting him walk about the shop, and I explained that I couldn’t leave him outside because of his vaccinations. I also couldn’t leave him in the car or at home on his own, so I carried him in.
The manager approached me and told me dogs weren’t allowed and that I had to put him outside. When I explained the situation, her response was that she didn’t care and told me to leave.
I understand shops have policies, and I’ve no issue with staff doing their jobs, but there’s a way to speak to people, and her attitude was absolutely horrible.
When I asked to speak to a manager, she told me she was the manager. I then asked if there was someone above her I could speak to, and she simply said nobody was available, without even appearing to make an effort to contact anyone.
What made it worse was that some of the other staff had been lovely and were complimenting the puppy. It was a completely different attitude from the manager, who I felt was unnecessarily rude and dismissive.
I’m not expecting the rules to be changed for me, but I do expect to be spoken to with a bit of respect, especially when I’m explaining a genuine situation.
I’d like this looked into and would appreciate a response explaining how this behaviour is considered acceptable customer service.
I will also be sharing my experience on socials, I have left a google review for this store with a picture of this manager.
Sainsbury's Hackers Paradise: Sainsbury’s website is unsafe for financial protection from hackers when check out groceries and all concerns treated with indifference from Sainsbury’s and representatives online as technical support is extremely unhelpful and rude. When the protection software I have is switched off can check out online otherwise cannot. After many months of no customer care finally once again nothing is forthcoming. Be aware of their lack of financial security when checking out to avoid your accounts being hacked as mine were due to Sainsbury’s lack of compliance towards a duty of care for their customers safety. Your Sainsbury's Case ID: ECM-202609-4125
Have always shopped on line with great service.
Trying to register a new debit card with no success. Your so called customer service were useless telling me the first time to try again later and then when I rang again I was told to try at the end of the week as there was technical maintenance underway? Really a whole week!?!? Sort yourselves out Sainsbury's!!!!!!!
On the 31st of October a Sainsbury's cashier, at the Victoria Station store, refused to process 8 scratchcards. He said he would only process two, which he did. I complained to the manager who apologised and arranged for the remaining 6 to be processed.
I subsequently submitted a formal complaint, expecting the incident to be investigated and the company's response to reflect the nature of my experience. This proved to be an exercise in repetition and frustration. I received responses from multiple advisers, each seemingly dealing with the complaint in isolation. What became particularly apparent was the repetitive nature of the responses. However, these responses frequently failed to address the specific questions and points I had raised. There were also contradictory communications and assurances of further contact, adding to the impression that the various departments were not communicating effectively with one another.
Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was the eventual offer of a £2 electronic gift card, valid for two years.
My complaint was not simply about the cashier's refusal. It concerned the manner in which I was treated, the unnecessary involvement of management and the considerable time and effort subsequently spent trying to get Sainsbury's to acknowledge the experience properly.
The inadequacy of the responses and the apparent inability of the various complaints teams to address the issues raised eventually led me to escalate the matter directly to Sainsbury's CEO, Simon Roberts, copying in the relevant complaints representative. I'm still waiting for a substantive response!!
For a company of Sainsbury's size and standing, this is a thoroughly disappointing example of how not to handle customer complaints.
The original incident was one failure of customer service. The handling of my complaint afterwards demonstrated a much wider failure of customer care.
Helpful staff at the Springfield store. Good quality and wide range of produce most of the time. Good shopping experience. Just a shame that it's more difficult now to raise concerns with products on-line and no response from management when you do manage to e-mail.
No problem with products, delivery or customer facing staff. But, if you run into technical problems with their website expect to grow old waiting for any meaningful response or assistance.
I have given up on my Sainsbury's Local as seemingly every time I went in recently I had a camera in my face. Yet the local troublemakers couldn't care less, I've seen them literally laughing into the camera as the store assistant said rather helplessly "I'm getting all this on film you know".
Can we all agree now this mad experiment with shoving a camera in every shopper's face has been a mistake. It doesn't work and just alienates legit customers. Here's an idea, instead of wasting money on tech and trying to deputize shop assistants as quasi security guards, actually hire proper security guards. Or would that cost money and hurt profits?

I received an awful delivery from this store that had been poorly packed and/or delivered. The crate containing the refrigerated items was entirely full of double cream. I picked up the pot and it was completely empty and was all over the items that i had purchased. I had to clean off all the items in that crate as everything was covered in cream. Not only that but the carton of eggs was missing one, had one broken and they were mixed in colour, some brown, some white. I believe this box had been tampered with and should have been checked.
I took the crate back to the driver and explained that the cream had burst open emptying into the crate, the eggs were damaged, missing and tampered with. The driver said he would process the refund.
This did not happen. I looked at my account to find that not only had I not received the refund for these items but that my account had also been blocked. I had to put through the claim myself and call to find out why my account was inaccessible.
After 5 emails and 2 calls to sainsburys customer services I was told I would have to deal with this directly with the store.
Im sorry sainsburys but you are giving too much power to these delivery drivers that have no respect for property and are criminilasing people to cover up an overall appalling service!

We feel very let down by Sainsbury's today, as Disabled Customers, my Wife is recovering from a fractured Spine, I have a few health issues, so the online shopping system is very important to us, but today, there was a problem with the system, but when I phoned and asked for help, what did I get, NOTHING, now we changed from Tesco to Sainsbury's for our grocery shopping, but if this is the best we can expect from Sainsbury's, then it's back to Tesco for us, we have an online order sitting, over £200, but for whatever reason, we can't either pay for it, or book another slot, I phoned the store in Dumfries to discuss the problem, to see if I could get some help, but what I actually got was, I spoke to someone who said he would put me through to the online shopping dept, what help did they give me, they hung up on me, we are now seriously considering returning to Tesco
I followed your instructions and left my details as requested, except for our order number because we can't get that as your system won't allow us in, but yes, I left a message on Facebook, and what did I get, an automated system that asked a load of question, finally leaving me with a person who gave me no help at all, didn't answer my feedback, and told me to phone the same number I called yesterday, the number where I got no help at all, so the queestion is, why would I call the same phone number, where I've already received no help at all, to get the same non existant help, again, this is not what we would call the best way to keep customers

Hi there. I organised a delivery to my daughter's university halls for 6-7pm yesterday. She waited in from 6pm. At 7:20, when it was already late, she got a text to say it was delayed and would be arriving late. She continued waiting but was getting worried because she had no food in the house and it was too dark to go get anything. After well over 2 hours of waiting, at about 8:10pm she contacted the driver again. She was told that he hadn't found the entrance to the University campus and had decided not to deliver. She was told she could arrange a redelivery for the next day. The driver did not appear to have used either the postcode, the 'what 3 words' address which I put in the delivery instructions to take him to the door, or phoned to ask for directions. I called immediately and asked that the van turn around and deliver as promised. The person I spoke to put me on hold then cut me off. I phoned back and was told they couldn't get hold of the driver. I feel let down by both the lack of communication and the decision not to bother coming. This left my daughter stuck, in the evening, without food. I'd like to understand whether ditching orders once a van is delayed is company policy, please. If so, we're going elsewhere
REPLY: Thanks for your reply but isn't there a non-social media route of reaching out, please? I emailed your customer service email and got a bounceback saying it's not in use!

Just eat Order ref 986652598.
I wish I could give this company zero rating.
I placed an order through just eat over two hours ago, this is the second time I have used sainsburys via Just eat and the first time also took two hours but today I have cancelled the order. Im not paying for poor service. The automated system sainsburys has when you call is beyond belief. It is like a automated system you would expect from ryanair. I will truly never use sainsburs again., 50 Pence dodgy, company with zero care for customer service.
You have been warned.

Sainsburys new store in Lowestoft offers a fair range of vape products but all of them, bar a few refills, were 20mg items and these never sell well. A few months ago I complained and the store started to stock different strengths but now it's back to maximum strength vape products, so I complained again by phone to head office only to be told it was 'feedback' and they no longer respond to complaints. I wonder why? Probably because they get so many complaints. Sainsbury's isn't as good as it used to be and given there's a Morrisons 50 meters away that does cater to all vape needs, I'll get mine there instead.

Wide aisles ..nectar prices choice customer service scan & shop

Sainsbury’s Nectar system is ridiculous. Scanning the physical card at checkout doesn’t apply the discount. To actually get the Nectar prices, you have to download their app and sort it out there. The problem is that signal inside the store is terrible, so the app won’t load when I’m standing at the till. I end up paying full price or holding up the queue. A loyalty card that doesn’t work when you scan it isn’t much of a loyalty card. Please make the discounts apply automatically when the card is scanned.

Love Sainsbury’s products and the fantastic range they offer. Find the staff helpful. Would like to see more staffed tills as much prefer a human being serving me to a machine. Customer service is key!

Ordered a lot from Sainsbury's - over £400 - due today between 12.30 and 2. Stayed in etc. Nothing happened. No word, no nothing!!! Went on the website, struggled with bot. No good. FINALLY DIALLED the (0800) number and spoke to a very helpful real person. Apparently 'they're having issues'. NO problem with the card. NO problem with us. Will they deliver it tomorrow at a different time? My guess is NO. BUT I've spent a lot of time on figuring out what we need so I'm leaving it and we'll see. Utter, diabolical incompetence.
