My wife and I hired a lovely car for 3 days from the Cologne branch (near the main train station in Cologne). Everything was going fine, and the manager was extremely helpful. On the return date, Frid... See more

Bad Rentals
I am so tired of renting defective vehicles....time to find another company....December...vehicle service alert sounded every few seconds...they tried to replace the vehicle in SC....but none were available...in March....rep presented me witj a Filthy car that smelled...i cancelled prior to completing rental....then my recent rental....i had booked a road trip with my children and my POV was being serviced....the alignment was bad and the brakes were not working well...Do better or you will extinct yourself...my opinion..
What a day to be robbed of your hard earned money.
I went in to get a “we pick” once they gave me the car it was shaking so I turned around and suggested I use one of my upgrades. Keep in mind the car was already paid for. After calling customer service numerous times I still ended up with them keeping the keys to a paid for car refusing to give me the keys because they didn’t like that I was talking to customer service about the horrible service I received due to management not wanting to upgrade my car to the one I preferred after paying and being a platinum member. After I notice I want going to get anywhere with Kedar Martin the assistant branch rental manager and Mykayle Carter the rental management trainee I decided to call customer service again to see if I can transfer to another pick up. I did notice that Kedar and Mykayle’s regional manager or supervisor came in because he had on a suit but he did nothing to help me get a rental and leave. I ended up calling an uber and headed to the location customer service sent me to pick up a vehicle being that I’d already paid. Once I arrived at the new location I signed for a car and was ready to go, at 1:57 one of these managers decided to void my rental living me with no way home to my children. I waited for a resolution for at least 4 hours because after I learned of this I called customer service again and they said the ticket should be open still there was no new reservation made not knowing these managers voided out my rental.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. The pickup was delayed by nearly 30 minutes even though I arrived on time. I also filled up the gas tank before returning the car but was still charged a refueling fee based on an inflated fuel price (CAD 2.85/L). The billing felt unfair, and the overall service was unprofessional. I will not rent from this location again. Rental Agreement #: 49M653
Rented a car here this past April and…
Rented a car here this past April and when we arrived, they gave us a filthy., smelly car. Exchanged it and the next day the suv started getting warning lights about low oil, low air pressure. Tried calling and got no one. Got the tires checked and had a slow leak. Drove it, then just parked it and uber. Tried to call enterprise main office and just got operators who said they would pass this on, but until now, no one had contacted me. Shame on you. Never renting here again and will be an ardent voice to let others now not to rent here. There are better options, and their solution was to give me useless points for my next rental. Even the staff said I couldn’t use them. All I was asking was partial refund since I didn’t get to use the rental fully.
I’m taking my business elsewhere.

Dreadful
My most recent experience with Enterprise/Alamo (they’re the same company) started well at the rental desk but turned into a nightmare after I returned the car.
They accused me of damaging the vehicle — a claim that was completely unfounded. The damage they tried to charge me for was already present when I picked the car up and had even been noted on the vehicle inspection form. I collected the car at Kraków Balice Airport and returned it a week later at Katowice Airport. The return parking area was unstaffed, so I left the keys with a helpful gentleman at the rental desk and went on my way.
Within an hour, I received a return confirmation stating everything was fine, with only a note at the bottom saying “re-evaluation after cleaning.” The car was in exactly the same condition as when I received it.
Then, the next day, I got an email with two attachments: a “costs breakdown” and a photo of the alleged damage. The message gave me no opportunity to dispute the claim. It was simply a demand: the repair would cost 1,500 zł, and they would be charging my card. Since they already hold my card details, they can (and did) take the money without my consent.
After several frustrating emails sent to the wrong departments, I finally reached the complaints team. Two weeks later, they admitted it was their mistake — but not before first charging me 22% VAT on the amount. I had to fight yet again to get that refunded.
Just when I thought the matter was finally closed, I spotted a separate, mysterious, unauthorised charge of £307 from Enterprise on my credit card statement. I immediately disputed it, and the amount was promptly refunded. However, when I asked for an explanation, Alamo/Enterprise refused to acknowledge the charge had ever happened. When I requested their transaction records, they sent me an Excel spreadsheet full of unrelated and meaningless information.
Throughout the entire process, the customer service was dismal. Every email was unsigned, impersonal, dry, and unhelpful. There was never an apology or any genuine attempt to make things right.
This was an absolutely dreadful experience. The takeaway is simple: don’t be fooled by a big, reputable name. At the end of the day, these companies need to make money and will sometimes jump at any opportunity to charge you extra — sometimes multiple times.
Be extremely vigilant. When picking up a rental car, inspect it thoroughly. If it’s parked in a poorly lit area, insist that it’s moved to a better spot so you can see everything clearly. Refuse to accept a dirty car or one with lots of minor defects. Take your time during the check-in and don’t trust the staff’s assurances.
Finally, always take out car hire excess insurance, but never buy it from the rental company. Shop around online and arrange it before you collect the vehicle.
my mother was placed on a DNR list for…
my mother was placed on a DNR list for a miscommunication between their “third party customer service and the branch” as they are saying. then it was “we couldnt contact you” by one of the branch managers who was himself and excessively arrogant and rude individual. i went to return the car and the other branch manager made me aware and told me she should be off in 1-2 days. he was super nice i might add , but in which she was not removed. i called to speak to the Regional Risk Management department to see how to get off or about an appeal because this is just excessive given we returned the car in perfect condition and paid our “balance”. his name was Eric, he was so overly nasty and excessively rude to the point that he did not want to hear anything i had to say! enterprise has went so downhill within the past few years to the point i will be escalating it to the BBB because something needs to be done.
Enterprise failure
Not HAPPY... Rented through my Insurance company and was not provided with EMERGENCY contact information on the WRITTEN enterprise contract. I had to print out .. not to mention the entire tranaction does not appear on the main enterprise website lookup.. Staff at rental location did not provide a WRITTEN copy of the rental contract to renter but sent to email of spouse instead of handing a written copy to driver for the glovebox if stopped by police. Also when asked about second driver ,staff advised that they would have to charge extra but it would be OK for the husband to drive... very confusing?? Probably will return car ASAP and advise my insurer of this poor operation
Enterprise peachtree City
Enterprise peachtree City, GA doesnt want to give me my refund of 299. I never agree on getting the coverage, they charge it anyway. Tried to call and they hanged up twice, and keep me waiting for over 50min. When I could got them they told me that I wont be getting any refund. I escalated to corporate and they stated that I will get my refund and now someone else is telling me that if the branch wont refund me, then I will never get my money back.!! Almost 2 month with this situation and no one give me a solution

> This is the Enterprise branch that provided the rental car reserved by GEICO—not by me. When I received the vehicle, I was told it was simply "GEICO's budget car." Later, I was informed it had been classified as a turnaround vehicle, and I was subsequently billed $400.
I believe this situation deserves a thorough review. I hope the Florida consumer protection authorities and consumer advocacy organizations will examine what happened and help ensure customers are treated fairly
No rent a car with this company!!
No rent a car with this company!!
I strongly advise anyone considering renting from this company to think twice.
My experience has been extremely disappointing. After returning the vehicle, I was held responsible for damage that I firmly dispute. I have provided timestamped photographs, detailed timelines, and all the evidence available to demonstrate my position. In contrast, I repeatedly asked the company to provide objective evidence proving that the damage occurred while the vehicle was in my possession, but no such evidence was provided.
Instead of conducting what I believe to be a fair and transparent investigation, my claim was rejected without addressing the key points I raised or supplying the documentation I requested.
As a customer, I expected a professional review based on facts, not assumptions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
If you rent from this company, I strongly recommend:
* Take high-resolution photos and videos of every panel, wheel, and window before leaving the parking area.
* Repeat the same process immediately before returning the vehicle.
* Keep all timestamps, GPS records, and any other documentation.
* Never assume that your evidence will be enough unless every detail is documented.
I sincerely hope no other customer has to go through what I have experienced. Until this matter is resolved fairly and transparently, I cannot recommend this company. There are many other rental companies that value evidence, transparency, and customer trust far more than what I experienced here.

Enterprise provided the worst customer…
Enterprise provided the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
On July 17, 2026, I called the Enterprise location in Bloomsburg, PA, around 10:40 a.m. and spoke with a male employee. He confirmed that a 7-passenger Tahoe or similar SUV would be available for pickup at 9:00 a.m. on July 18, with a return at 9:00 a.m. on July 20, for $241. I gave him both my phone number and my mother's phone number. I immediately received a confirmation email, so I assumed everything was set.
Around 3:30 p.m., I decided to stop by the office just to make sure all of our luggage would fit in the Tahoe. When I arrived, I was told there was no large SUV or van available for July 18. The employee claimed they had tried to call us, but both of our numbers were "out of service."
That was simply not true. My phone received eight other calls between 11:14 a.m. and 3:19 p.m., but not a single call from Enterprise. My mother didn't receive any calls either.
Trying to save our family trip, my uncle called the Enterprise location in Shamokin and was able to reserve a similar SUV. This reservation required pickup on July 17 before their 6:00 p.m. closing time, and the price was higher—$301. After receiving the confirmation email, he rushed home from work, and we immediately left for Shamokin, a 45-minute drive from Bloomsburg. Our ETA was 5:52 p.m. Around 5:35 p.m., my uncle called the Shamokin office to let them know we were on our way. That's when the employee informed him that they also did not have a large SUV available.
So despite receiving two confirmation emails from two different Enterprise locations, we ended up with no vehicle at all for our July 18 trip.
The explanation we kept receiving was that a third party handles the reservations and that the local offices have nothing to do with them.
That raises an obvious question: Why is Enterprise allowing customers to reserve vehicles that don't actually exist? If a third party is making reservations, shouldn't Enterprise ensure those reservations are accurate before confirming them?
Had I not stopped by the Bloomsburg office that afternoon, we would have shown up at 9:00 the next morning expecting a vehicle that was never available. We would have discovered the problem only minutes before our trip.
What would Enterprise have done then? Would anyone have taken responsibility? Would they have found us another vehicle? Or would we have simply been told, once again, that there was nothing they could do?
This entire experience was frustrating, stressful, and completely avoidable. A reservation confirmation should actually mean that a vehicle has been reserved. Customers should not have to discover on their own that their confirmed reservation doesn't exist.
Easy to rent
Easy to rent, the employees was professional and nice, know the answers to my questions. The car was very nice up to date have a lot of data programs in the dashboard. Cruise control system very updated. The car matched my car I drive. They extended my dates two times that was so convenient to keep the same car. I do recommend Enterprise Car Rental 100%.

I have been unfortunate to have to use this company 3 times in as many years. On none of those occasions have I been given the vehicle I required.
Disgusting rental vehicle
In May, I rented a premium full-size pickup truck (2026 Dodge Ram) from the Plymouth Meeting branch for a month and had an excellent experience. Because of that, I chose Enterprise again when I needed another truck. I called ahead and was assured one was available, but when I arrived, no reservation had been made and there was no truck for me.
Instead, I sat at the Plymouth Meeting branch for hours while employees tried to locate another truck. After the lengthy wait, I was driven to the Jeffersonville, PA location, where I was given a Chevrolet Silverado in unacceptable condition. The truck was filthy, with food between the seats, mud on the seats, dirty windows and windshield, and it smelled of cigarette smoke and rotten food. Within five minutes of leaving the branch, both the “Change Oil” and “Check Engine” lights came on.
Roadside Assistance directed me to the PHL Airport location for a replacement. After driving there, I was told there was nothing they could do because the airport and branch locations were “separate entities.” I asked if they could at least clean the truck so it would be safe to drive. Instead, I was offered a compact car. I rented a full-size pickup because I need it for work. When I declined the compact car, I was simply told, “Have a nice day.”
From that point on, I spent nearly a week trying to resolve this issue. Multiple call center representatives repeatedly sent me to different branches, assuring me they had trucks available. Every time, I arrived only to find the location closed or unable to help. After my sixth or seventh call, I was promised a callback on Monday to arrange a replacement. That call never came.
By Thursday, I had to call again myself. Ben from the Plymouth Meeting branch assured me he would personally help get me into the proper vehicle, but he never followed through. This was not the failure of one employee. I was failed by multiple call center representatives, branch employees, and management. At every step, someone either gave inaccurate information, failed to follow through, or passed the problem to someone else. No one took ownership.
While driving between Enterprise locations on Saturday to exchange the truck, I was caught in a severe thunderstorm that brought down trees, power lines, and utility poles, causing flooding and making roads impassable. Between sitting for hours at the Plymouth Meeting branch, being driven to Jeffersonville, making repeated phone calls, and being sent to multiple locations that could not help, Enterprise wasted well over a full workday of my time trying to correct a problem that should never have occurred.
I have rented vehicles for more than 20 years and have almost exclusively used Enterprise. This was, without question, the worst rental experience I have ever had.
I am a union member and an employee of a Fortune 50 company that uses Enterprise for corporate rentals. Because of this experience, I have already contacted our leadership and recommended that we evaluate moving our corporate rental business to another provider. My time is valuable, and being repeatedly misled, sent to closed branches, promised callbacks that never came, and treated with indifference is completely unacceptable.
I hope Enterprise uses this review as a training opportunity. This experience exposed a complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and customer service across its call center, branches, and management. If I treated customers the way I was treated throughout this experience, I would no longer have a job.
As always the Dickson Tennessee…
As always the Dickson Tennessee location. Treated me with respect and explain everything. They were helpful when I ask to changes vehicle's. They noticed a error on my bill. And took it off. I go to the location alot. The whole staff is friendly. Just my only negative response Is still the location is small. If enterprise would look around the city. Personally a bigger area and not on the very busy hwy 46 .I think this location. Would be very successful and grow. The one now is small and it uses the same turn In as the paint store next to it. But far as renting a car. You cant go wrong at the Dickson Tennessee location.

Went to pickup my car rental car at 8:30am at the airport. Lady was very rude and said they didn’t open until 10:00am and had no clean cars. Made my kids sit around for two hours until she decided to help us.
Scammers, dont even deserve the 1 star selected
If they had a -0 star would have gone for that following the trash of service l encountered recently from East Midlands Airport Enterprise booked a car shown or "similar" as they said, got there given a Van, refused it and said its not even similar to the Nissan Qushqai 5008 advertised, they offered me another type a volvo ,way above my budget, above double the price of Nissan actually and pretended as if they are making a good deal by reducing its cost, reluctantly took it as we were desperate, took.it back a day earlier and shown the tyre had a tear and had to be replaced, told me insurance they booked me did not cover tyres but covered accidents to the car, write off or road side assistance etc🤷🏾♀️,all my deposit gone ,since when is changing a single tyre £400????given a bogus receipt when l demanded for one,the so called garage they went to is never reachable!!I was scammed smart and smooth and left in a total of -£1000 of what l had initially booked and paid for.For your peace of mind ,avoid these scammers of a company, so disgusted by their service wouldn't wish anyone to lose their hard earned cash like we did.
Had a reservation confirmed at Memphis
Had a reservation confirmed at Memphis, TN location. Got a Uber there to pick up the car and was told they did not have any cars available today. I said but I had a confirmed reservation. He said. Yes it will let you do that, but I was getting ready to call you. I have done business with Enterprise for years. Never had this happen before. I don't think this is very good business and will not be back
