Beware misleading diagnostic software — return your phone at the first sign of trouble!

I am extremely disappointed with my Motorola phone and Motorola's strict, unhelpful warranty policy. Just three weeks after the two-year warranty period ended, the battery completely failed. It plummets from 100% down to 50% and abruptly shuts down within just a couple of minutes. In all my years using smartphones, I have never had a battery fail so drastically after only two years.
The most frustrating part is Motorola's built-in Phone Health diagnostic software, which cannot be trusted. Over the last six months, the phone experienced the occasional random shutdown, but because the system health app repeatedly reported that the battery was in "perfect" condition, I brushed it off as a minor glitch. The software actively misled me into thinking the device was fine.
Because I relied on their software, I missed my window to send the phone back under warranty. Now, Motorola refuses to offer any support because it is three weeks past the cutoff, ignoring the fact that their own software masked a developing hardware defect.
Key takeaway for potential buyers:
Do NOT rely on Motorola's Phone Health app. It is inaccurate and will fail to flag severe underlying hardware issues.
Send your phone back immediately for repair at the very first glitch, lag, or unexpected shutdown—no matter how small—before your warranty expires.
Motorola’s refusal to stand behind their product or account for their misleading software makes for a terrible customer experience. I will not be purchasing another Motorola device.

Extremely disappointed with Motorola

Extremely disappointed with Motorola. My Moto Edge 30 Fusion has developed a green line on the display despite having NO physical damage, drops, cracks, or any kind of impact. The phone has been handled carefully, yet the display has started failing on its own.

This is completely unacceptable for a premium smartphone. A display should not develop permanent lines under normal usage, especially when there is no physical damage.

The worst part is that the customer is expected to pay a huge amount for a display replacement for a problem that was not caused by the customer. After spending so much on the phone, this is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Motorola should take responsibility for such display issues and provide a proper resolution instead of making customers pay for a defective display.

Very disappointed with Motorola. I would seriously think twice before buying another Motorola phone.

My fury is not about their hardware but…

My fury is not about their hardware but their abysmal treatment following their big promotion in November 2025. One part of that was "trade in your old Motorola phone and we'll add GBPs to the offer". I had a M'rola phone in perfect condition so securely mailed it to their nominated company "Recommerce". On receipt of the phone they falsely & dishonestly claimed it was damaged. It was NOT. Their offer was now a derisory GBP 14 and "take it of leave it". I've been exchanging emails with Motorola now for 9+ months with zero satisfaction. The whole experience confirms others' input that their Customer "Service" is just deliberate prevarication. NEVER AGAIN will I have anything to do with Motorola.

Razr2025

I've had it for a full year, almost smashed it with a hammer and have been tempted to snap it in half. It elects to use the dumbest apps to open things by default and without hours on AI I would be completely lost. It's so hard to navigate this stupid thing. Notifications go unnoticed because I don't see themOR hear them and anytime I need toake a change it's buried 15 pages deep in app settings. My calendar doesn't alarm or remind me to do anything so I miss appointments regularly. This phone has actually negatively impacted my life. Wow that's embarrassing. I've wasted days and days trying to figure this phone out, I truly hate it

Worst Service and Extremely…

Worst Service and Extremely Disappointing Experience

Motorola phones may look stylish, but based on my experience, the after-sales service is extremely poor. The authorized service center in the city is also very unprofessional. The staff lacks professionalism, proper communication skills, and a customer-friendly approach.

I gave my phone to the service center to solve one particular problem, but instead, I was told about additional problems. This makes it very difficult for a customer to trust the service process, especially when parts are also being replaced.

The biggest issue is that there does not seem to be a proper and convenient way to directly contact Motorola's customer support or escalate a complaint to the company. Even the authorized service center numbers are often not answered.

In my personal experience, Motorola may be good for its stylish design, but when it comes to long-term reliability and after-sales service, it is extremely disappointing.

Honestly, I would not recommend Motorola to anyone who expects good customer support and professional after-sales service.

Stylish phone, but absolutely disappointing service.

I purchased the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion…

I purchased the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion 5G (8GB + 256GB) on January 19, 2026, for 21,280 from Amazon. Within seven months of purchase, while the device was still under the manufacturer's warranty period, it developed critical issues requiring service intervention. My experience with Motorola's after-sales support has been profoundly disappointing and financially devastating. The authorized service center, Odyssey Technologies in Ahmedabad, initially charged approximately 1,200 for diagnostics. Subsequently, I received two service quotations dated August 22, 2026, demanding 21,148.79 and 20,233.11 respectively for repairs amounts that collectively exceed the original purchase price of the device. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter through Motorola's customer service line (8067916686), the company has consistently refused to honor the warranty coverage, instead directing me to the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) and disclaiming responsibility by citing their status as a private entity. The NCH has also failed to provide any meaningful resolution to my complaint. This experience represents a fundamental breach of consumer trust and warranty obligations. Prospective buyers should be aware that Motorola's warranty appears to hold no practical value, their customer service infrastructure is inadequate, and their authorized service centers impose repair costs that make device replacement more economical than repair. The total financial impact of this purchase now exceeds 44,000 (including the original purchase price, initial service charges, and demanded repair fees) for a device that failed within seven months of normal use. I strongly advise consumers to consider alternative brands with established track records of honoring warranty commitments and providing competent after-sales support. This experience has been the most regrettable technology purchase I have made, and I cannot in good conscience recommend Motorola products to anyone seeking reliable devices with accountable manufacturer support.

Extremely disappointed with Motorola

Extremely disappointed with Motorola. Their “Software Update Alert” keeps forcing me to deal with repeated messages such as “Restart your device” notifications every minute, and there is no way to disable them.

This is too aggressive, intrusive, annoying, and completely unacceptable. A company should not force unwanted notifications on customers’ devices without providing a clear way to disable them. The notification settings are blocked by default, so I can’t even turn them off myself.

I just had excruciating stress trying to buy a phone on Motorola web page. The sale was declined from "security protocols" absolute BS. Not only did they decline the sale they put a hold on my funds in my bank account. I cannot use my own money in my business account for 3-5 days!!! I called the bank and they said it wasn't a hold it appeared the transaction was being processed I spent an hour and 45 minutes with Moto customer service (mostly on hold )with no resolution. when I was transferred to talk to a person to get a phone shipped I waited anther 25 minutes and then they hung up. I had bought several phones on the website before and didn't have all these issues. I have owned many Motorola phone but never again. I went online and got a Samsung A17 in 5 minutes Done. Never buy Motorola or Lenovo they treat their customers with contempt!

Abysmal Support & Zero Warranty Protection — Caught in a Runaround Loop Between Motorola and Amazon/Woot!

Avoid the Motorola MA1 Wireless Android Auto Adapter. While it worked adequately for the first few months, it completely died shortly after—it stopped entering pairing mode altogether and became a useless brick.

The real disaster, however, is the non-existent warranty and support experience:

Motorola Refuses Warranty Claims: Despite being within the 1-year manufacturer warranty period, Motorola Sound Support refused to process a warranty replacement. They blamed the fact that it was sold by Woot on Amazon and tried to push the responsibility onto Amazon/Woot.

Amazon/Woot Denies Responsibility: Amazon’s customer support confirmed that their replacement/return window is strictly 30 to 60 days, correctly pointing out that post-30-day hardware failures are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

The Endless Catch-22: When you click "Get Support" on Amazon, it routes you right back to Motorola’s support portal—the exact same team that refuses to honor their own warranty because the item was bought on Amazon.

Neither Motorola nor Amazon/Woot will take accountability for replacing a defective product under valid warranty coverage. Save yourself $90+ and buying headaches—buy a competitor's dongle from a company that actually stands behind its products and honors its stated warranty.

Mixed bag

I got a brand new Motorola device by accident when my Samsung was stolen on March 17, 2026, and Bell Mobility refused to replace the device.
The phone itself is quite decent, but the camera is horrible.
Also, after about a week of use, its headphones/auxiliary cable outlet suddenly went dead. Finding somebody to address these (or any) technical problems with the device is next to impossible. I have been asking around for 4 months - no success!

Worst company Motorola

Last year (2025), I bought a Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. Almost exactly one year later, the phone suddenly died. When I took it to the Motorola service center, I was informed that the motherboard had failed and needed to be replaced.

The shocking part was the replacement cost—around ₹23,000, which is almost the price of the phone itself.

In my opinion, if a device develops such a major hardware failure within such a short period, customers shouldn’t be expected to bear such a huge repair cost. This has been a very disappointing experience, both with the product and the after-sales service.

To anyone planning to buy a Motorola phone, I’d recommend doing thorough research and considering customer experiences before making a decision.

Based on my personal experience, it’s a big no to Motorola phones.

Motorola installs gigabytes of garbage apps without permission!

I reset app preferences in Android because of a glitch in Gmail -- Motorola took the opportunity to install several gigabytes of unwanted apps and crapware! I had to uninstall or disable about a dozen apps. Many people are looking for an alternative to Android (like Linux) because of unscrupulous manufacturers like Motorola running roughshod over customers' preferences and loading down their phones with garbage.

Ghost touch issue after software update

I have a motorla g05 and it worked just fine for like 5 months, after that it started being buggy, slow and had a ghost touch on the top right corner of the screen after the july 10th update, but it doesn't do that all the time and I tried every solution that people recommended and restarted the phone on safe mode and i think the recovery mode and all that, but still nothing. I hope they fix this in the next software update.

I've had a couple of good phones from Motorola. Unfortunately the one I have has not been as rewarding, mostly due to the bloatware and games I never wanted. My biggest gripe is Glance. It's bloatware claiming to be a system app, keeping you from uninstalling it.

I absolutely HATE motorola glance and…

I absolutely HATE motorola glance and the A.I. assisted operating system. I cannot stand having extra junk news being force fed to me on my lock screen. I absolutely HATE the A.I. system assistant. How incredibly stupid it is, obnoxious, and ridiculous it is to be forced to use a system that somehow thinks it can make my user experience easier. How much easier could it possibly get? It CANNOT! That's why it is nothing but an irritating problem! I have never had one complaint about any phone I have ever owned, since the creation of cell phones. Not one complaint for Android or Apple! I HATE my motorola edge with a passion! It is a total disaster that I wish I had never spent my limited income money on!

Worse customer service

So I bought a mobile phone, I realised I wanted a superior product, so I tried to log in to my account to change my order. I couldn't log in as they won't recognise my email because it ends in .co.uk and not .com
I then try to contact customer services on WhatsApp. I spoke to AI and finally was transferred to speak to someone. I explained my problem again. I was told my order has been cancelled. I was also told I would be able to access my account soon - none of this happened. I then received an email from UPS informing me that my order will be delivered to them tomorrow. I contacted WhatsApp customer service again, had to explain everything again just to be told, oh just sent the product back and once we receive it we will refund you, can take weeks!!!! If the phone arrives back of course ( as it can get lost in the way)

Word of advice

Word of advice, never ever by a Motorola phone, I've bought 10 phones of Motorola in the space of a year and I tell you this, what ever software they use isn't fit for PURPOSE, each phone has failed, lagged, crashed, over heated, fills with caches so fast, I've spent hundreds of pounds on there cheap crap handsets, there phones are suppose to be a smooth feel for the customers, no there not, they are crap and built cheap. Fuming. I'll never buy a Motorola device again, there absolutely awful.
