I have been taking my children monkey bizness for years but haven’t been in a year or so as they are getting older. I most recently took my niece to a birthday party and it was such a good party. Our host was Daniel, he was so energetic and good with the children. I didn’t expect much as the kids are more interested in going off to play but was pleasantly surprised by Daniel’s vibrant nature and enthusiasm. We also had lovely, happy and welcoming customer service from Chloe at the cafe. Will definitely be returning. Thank you staff!
Visited the Braintree site last week and am disgusted and will never go back. When it was run by Partyman they offered concessions for SEND children and carers. Monkey Bizness do NOT offer any concessions at all for SEND children or carers. Also we were refused entry unless we handed over our autistic and non verbal child's bag containing his 'safe drink in his 'safe' bottle. We understand adults would be required not to take in their own drinks but how can you expect an autistic child to give up their 'safe' drink? A complaint was made directly and we recievved NO apology at all, no accountability and the staff member in question also lied and said she didnt question our child's bag or drinks. And yet we have witnesses. Awful company now and shall not recommend. Will be telling all my parents friends to also avoid!
Further to previous entry, any criticism of this place is not met with acknowledgment of concerns or attempt to put right, but to block any feedback or customer complaint on social media. Utterly pathetic management and customer care.
AVOID IF YOU WANT A NICE DAY WITH YOUR CHILDREN
Went with my 7month old, they was nothing in the play area for him to go on, I would have thought they would have been a ball pit but there was nothing, The place was horrible was not clean at all
Came in November for my son’s 4th birthday party with 15 children. Everyone agreed that it was the perfect venue. I loved that we had the party area for the whole duration of his party, not just for 30 mins like others do. It meant the cake and all the bags, coats, gifts, shoes were all in one place and nothing needed to be moved around from room to room. I’ve booked soft play parties at other venues in the past where it all felt very rushed. This wasn’t the case here, it’s the most relaxed I’ve ever been throwing a birthday party and will definitely be back! I paid slightly more for Marvin the monkey to make an appearance and for the party bag service which was a big task taken off my hands and the children all loved what was inside. They were also very happy to meet Marvin. No helium balloons allowed in the venue as they have very high ceilings and they cannot easily get them down if they came loose. I took my foil no.4 balloon blown up with air instead (I used a straw and blew it up myself-not helium) I then sellotaped it to the wall in the party room next to my banner and it looked like it was floating with helium. The staff were very friendly and my party host even cut the cake up and individually wrapped 18 pieces of cake for me to put straight into party bags! Thank you Monkey Bizzness.
Had my daughters 5th birthday here and the party host (Andy) was fantastic - Polite, helpful and excellent with the children! He really made the day for us.

My son loves coming to this place, he’s been coming since he was 7 month he’s now nearly 5 and it’s nice and big the food is nice plenty to do for all ages of children
We recently visited Monkey Bizness Rochford for the first time and were honestly blown away by how impressive the place is. As parents who’ve visited our fair share of indoor play centres, we were genuinely delighted with the quality and variety on offer here.
From the moment we walked in, we noticed how clean, spacious, and well-organised the venue is. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into designing a space that caters to families with children of all ages. The play zones are separated by age group, which we really appreciated – it meant our little one could play confidently without being overwhelmed by older children. Each area is packed with fun, colourful equipment that encourages climbing, crawling, sliding, and exploring – our child was completely immersed from the minute we arrived. The rock climbing wall was a brilliant addition that gave the kids a bit of a challenge, and the sensory room was a lovely touch – calm, peaceful and perfect for a bit of quiet time if needed.
The café really exceeded our expectations too. Often, soft play food can feel like an afterthought, but not here. The menu had a wide selection of freshly prepared meals, snacks, and drinks for both children and adults. There were healthy options as well as the usual favourites, and everything we tried was genuinely tasty and well-presented. The coffee was great, the cake was even better, and the seating area was comfortable and ideally positioned so you can keep an eye on your kids while enjoying a bit of downtime.
Unfortunately, our visit took an unexpected turn when our child accidentally ran into a table and hurt their forehead. It was a scary moment, but within seconds, a lovely staff member named Lynsey was by our side. She was calm, kind, and incredibly reassuring – not only to our child but to us as well. She quickly provided first aid and stayed with us to make sure everything was okay. Her professionalism and warmth genuinely turned a stressful situation into something manageable. Lynsey even went above and beyond by offering us a complimentary return pass, knowing we hadn’t been able to stay for the full session. That kind of care and attention is something we’ll never forget.
All in all, Monkey Bizness Rochford is a fantastic family-friendly venue that really sets itself apart. The facilities are excellent, the food is high quality, the staff are outstanding, and the whole place is run with genuine care. We’ll definitely be returning – and recommending it to every parent we know. Huge thanks to the team, especially Lynsey, for turning what could’ve been a ruined day into a positive and memorable experience.
