I joined reframe 152 days ago having drunk too much every day for over 30 years. My brother uses Reframe to help him cut back so I joined to do that. The amazing approach of educating me on the neuroscience behind why we drink was game changing! It’s no coincidence that I’m 152 days sober and LOVING life. The support of this community is INCREDIBLE and I’m never looking back and know so much of a better more fun future is ahead of me!
The app has some fantastic features. One of the very best features that keeps a lot of people engaged and returning to the app (according to both app members and a news article that interviewed the creators) was being able to attend group Zoom meetings. This is the thing that sets it apart from similar apps. These meetings are led by coaches and create a wonderful sense of support and community. The meetings are absolutely fantastic. There are so many different topics covered so something for everyone regardless of the journey you’re on regarding alcohol. The problem is because of the time zone difference if you are in Australia or New Zealand there are only a few meetings a week you can go to — whereas if you are in the US there are several (up to 9 meetings per day!!!!) . The coach that covered a 5:30 pm Australian /NZ (ps a lot of UK and European residents attended this as well) time meeting is on leave and Reframe have completely dropped the ball (for approx. 3 weeks now) despite many messages from attendees of that meeting and despite messages from several of the coaches. Reframe has done nothing to fill this spot for the last few weeks. Some of the coaches (Who run the meetings) have stepped up out of the goodness of their hearts at 3am their US time! to host this meeting and make it possible — this is obviously unsustainable. There have also been scheduled meetings that many attendees show up for and there is no coach. We’ve discovered this is not the coaches fault but rather scheduling complacency from Reframe. The coaches are truly amazing. The support and interest from the company itself is absolutely appalling. There are qualified people in Australia who have mentioned they are willing to host those meetings. Absolutely no response from Reframe. Crickets. Nothing. Despite many members reaching out to Reframe. Incredibly disappointing. When you attend these meetings most people say they would be lost without them - even from USA attendees. With over 6 million subscribers, I am pretty sure the coffers would allow for one meeting per day in Australia (or Australian later afternoon time zone that would allow for NZ and European attendees) , which is when a lot of people are triggered to drink. Many of of the meetings in the US are later in the day for them. My subscription runs out next month and I am seriously considering not resubscribing because of this, I know of others who are also in the community who are possibly not re joining because of this. I am happy to pay their annual cost — but not if there is such a great gap in who the resources are allocated to. They should tell you before you subscribe that if you are in Southern Hemisphere there will be very little possibility for attending the meetings. Love the content. Super disappointed in support/follow-up and Reframe’s disinterest and lack of response to many many members reaching out for clarification on future meetings. Seems money making is more important than a true sense of what the app was originally designed for.
Reframe has made a tremendous impact on my life. It has given me structure and support from the community of Reframers. I have learned so much from the daily check-in's and lessons. I have benefitted from the shame-free approach and continue to improve.
I was charged close to $200, in 2 separate charges, for a renewal I didn’t want and had not authorized. I have been trying for over 2 weeks to get a refund. They finally refunded the smaller of the two charges but continue to stonewall me on the larger one. While I have no complaint about the application itself, the customer service is appalling.
Reframe wraps the learning and community suport needed for recovery into one platform. The community ethos of open tolerance and love is healing. I am so glad I found it as the main tool to help me get sober.
Only downside--some of the tech behind the app feels clunky.

Reframe is saving my life. It’s where you can find a truly supportive and judgement free community (the reframbly)! I’ll keep renewing every year.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription. It isn't possible in the app, in the Google Play store or on the website. I have emailed help @reframeapp.com, support @reframeapp.com, and hello @reframeapp.com and can get no response! Ridiculous how they make it IMPOSSIBLE to cancel. Stay away!!

I used the app from 24th February 2026 and subsequently cancelled my subscription in June yet a payment came out of my account in August. I did not receive a notification of a renewal, they just took the money from my bank using applepay. I contacted support and had a response to say "I can sort this for you, but first can you tell me why you're leaving"
I responded to that email and followed up every day since. I also emailed help@reframe... and still no response.
It is unethical to take money from a persons account in the first place, without sending a renewal alert. It's even more unethical to do this after a subscription is cancelled. I'd like a response please and also my money back.

I am baffled by the poor reviews! This app is incredible. It has everything you could need and more to quit drinking. And customer service is incredible. I lost access to the app... Entirely my own fault because there was a problem with the payment of my renewal subscription. It was rectified within 3 hours of me messaging! And customer support were really kind to boot. I cannot fault this app, or the support, in any way. Day 12 sober 🎉

I signed up for the $49.99 every 3 months deal. I also signed up for a couple add-ons at $19.99 each. I don't even remember what those were for but I don't think whatever it was I paid for that I'm getting. but what's really appalling to me as I jumped into a meeting and I it was my fourth meeting. the first three were okay one of them was amazing. but right from the get-go this meeting became about hating white men and then the chat was negative the comments were negative it just became this evil nasty divisive bigoted disgusting thing. and let me tell you they're a little zoom is not easy to navigate and I was subjected to way too much of that while I was trying to figure out how to turn that dang meeting off. the chat was negative the video is negative and the coach says to this girl oh you and I could be friends and so that told me where her heart was. that she embraced all that negative horrible diarrhea spewing from that woman's mouth right from the beginning and that set the tone for the entire meeting. I don't want to single dime of mine going towards that kind of hate and racism. I have sent an email to support. and I'll probably have to end up trying to go through my credit card to get my money back. but I'm not supporting racism and sexism under the guise of healthcare. nope

Impossible to cancel. Impossible to get a refund. Customer support never responds

Absolutely shocking, stay clear. I signed up on their website paying £25. Got the receipt through. Then the website sent me to download the App. I did this and entered my details and it asked me to pay even more after going through all the questions again. Iv emailed them 3 times with no response. So im now in the process of going through UK consumer rights to claim my money back as on their website you can't get refunds, but I havent even had any sort of service as I can't access a account

The Reframe app is faulty. Their "customer service" is atrocious and essentially non existent. After paying $173.17 in subscription fees they lost all of my data. Reframe rolled out an app update causing the app to not function AT ALL for days. Not only was a single communication not provided to customers, they lied to customers and said an email was sent out. After about a week the app was "fixed" but my account was completely wiped of my data. Three years worth of logging was no where to be found.
It has been a month now with no resolution. I have repeatedly contacted them to no avail.
Their so called customer service responds once a week or so after I ask for an update on fixing my issue saying things like "thank you for your patience whats the email you use to login" after I've provided it numerous times.
Reframe took my money, lost my data due to their shotty update, provided no communication no resolution and no refund. Reframe is a scam and deceptive. If you have any privacy concerns with sharing your personal data with an app AVOID REFRAME.

Reframe is great if you want to QUIT alcohol.
I found that the guidance for wanting to cut back seemed odd as they were coaching tips from folks that had two DUIs. I just really was thinking that that app would suggest tips and tricks from individuals who had similar experiences or goals.
If you are looking for something to cut back on the glass of wine per night it’s not really set up for those people despite saying it’s for cutting back. It really is geared for quitting only. Also I found the number of check ins to be a lot. I was at the minimum amount and it was still 15 mins a day at various intervals.

The best part about Reframe is that it's not the slightest bit "judgy". It also SUGGESTS "reduction" rather than abstinence. I haven't had a drink for 6 months and I am enjoying my life without the "other guy" (my booze habit) around all the time. THANKS REFRAME!

Your app sucks! Worked for a week, updated and now won't open. Get your shit together!

Initially I had difficulty logging onto the site - which caused me to write a 1 * review...but I have to say now I am consuming the content my views have changed. Its a thought-provoking and supportive app which has already helped to alter my drinking habits just a few days in. It is analytical so it appeals to the way my brain works. It is an American app - so the pull is pretty global. I would recommend. My only concern is ongoing cost - I have not bought any extras and paid for 3 months. It is not clear how to unsubscribe and something I need to find out.
