I'm using the Russian language AI tutor, in my third week now doing one lesson almost every day. There are a few glitches here and there, but nothing insurmountable. The AI tutor keeps me on my toes, and I can sense the language getting stronger in me because of the interactive practice.
I saw that the average customer rating for Praktika is 3.7. My experience is far better than that; maybe there are lots of lower ratings for one or more of the other languages, bringing the average down.

Omg I’m so happy with the ai. I can ask real questions about culture, expressions and language and get real responses. I use the avatar sky. She has an Italian accent and has great hand gestures. I’ve tried the other avatars and am disappointed in them and their personalities. Occasionally I get a problem with listening but with some persistance it all gets straightened out. This is the first language ap that I can ask questions and get intelligent answers

Horrific, DO NOT DOWNLOAD! Avoid, avoid AVOID! The app experience is good when you have it, but they scam you with charges. They try to charge me different amounts every 2 days. It’s usually €30.42, $30.23 etc. its only run by AI bots and no real humans so even after making several formal complaints about repeated charges, an AI bot replies with a fake message and explains they’ve resolved the issue even though they are still charging me.

I’ve been using this app for two weeks in order to learn German and it has been amazing! I checked several apps before I came across this app and what a pleasant surprise it was. If anyone is looking to learn a language in a structured way but at your own pace, this app is the one you’re looking for!

1.I didnt get any receit or transaction ID , but my visacard was immidiately debited on August 22 with € 52,42.
2. When I miss one day of exercice I cannot do it the next days.
3. I cannot repeat a lesson.
I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the course. The only thing you offer constantly is an upgrade!

I liked the idea of selecting your AI tutor and that they asked for you to take a quick evaluation test on the language you wanted to learn, however, I was quite disappointed that at the beginning of my first lesson, that it was far too advanced for my beginner status and that there seemed to be no plan to take me through the basic I.e, hello, goodbye, my name is etc, etc. In the end I had to make a request that we start at that level. Also there are no basic user instructions for the app so yeah a bit disappointed, i was expecting more.

I was offered a €39,00 annual offer during the 7 day trial period on the AppStore platform. I accepted this offer and still was billed another €29,99 for 3 months on top. I asked for a refund with Apple and this was refused. It’s a good app but this payment issue is not a good experience.

It accepts all requests and adjusts the lesson if I ask to practice for instance the difference between "Ser y estar" I'd I already know what it is about to teach me or it is not very relevant to me. I also asked if we can practice in a word game kind of way. It keeps me attentive :) I am very happy with it so far. No lagging.

Nice attempt but… a mess when it comes to the Chinese version. Terrible pronunciation (tones are everything in mandarin), poor ability to gauge the student level (super fast very advanced Chinese by the AI tutor even for the Hello lesson), the AI tutor kept using Japanese!!! in the Chinese replies! Bad pronunciation and terrible lack of ability to manage speed and level to the student level makes it useless.

I never found any app that give full premium access for me (full scholarship) to increase my ability just like praktika

It has all the problems as dealing with a real teacher. You have something standing for a person in front of you. So you immediately start reading emotions and reactions, even when it is an avatar for a goddamn AI. You cannot interrupt: you need to press a button to speak. You get no real grammar. I don’t learn a language for interacting with people. Actually, I hate people! This thing is not for me.

Wow, this application is almost perfectly for practice conversation with the native speaker, you can also practice with AI tutor.
What a good experience for communicating with AI tutor.

Only just started but so far so good, asking questions is improving quickly but so far I’m struggling still to understand what I’m hearing.

You do a good job recognizing my words, but the tutor's pronunciation when reading your lines is unnatural.

The overall experience is decent, but the avatar talks far too much and repeats a lot of what is already written on the screen. It reads the same information out loud, and for me this becomes very tiring and even irritating. By the time the avatar finishes speaking, I have usually already read the text.

I understand that some users may find the voice explanations useful, but personally I would prefer the content to be much more compact. Even a 10-minute lesson can become frustrating because so much time is spent listening to unnecessary repetition.

The interaction also feels quite robotic and limited. The avatar asks once at the end if you need anything explained, and then almost immediately moves on to ending the lesson. Overall, it feels very programmed rather than genuinely interactive.

The overall experience is actually not bad. However, even though I have a good phone, sometimes the avatar seems to swallow or blur the Italian pronunciation when giving instructions, so you have to guess what was said or repeat it.

Overall, I would give it about 3+ out of 5. It’s not bad, but honestly, after the trial ends, I probably won’t pay for it. I would rather cancel than spend money on an experience that feels this repetitive and limited.
