Absolutely embarrassing and disrespectful service.
After a technician visited and determined that the appliance malfunction was due to incorrect installation, I was told their department would contact the kitchen installer for further clarification. I provided the installer’s name and phone number, and the technician informed me that this process usually takes about two weeks.
Two weeks passed and nothing happened.
One month passed and still nothing.
It has now been over six months. During this time, I have called more than 10 times. Every single time I was promised that someone would take care of the issue and call me back. Not once did anyone follow up.
I was told I was being moved to “VIP service,” but nothing changed.
I was told I would receive compensation for the excessive delay, but that never happened either.
The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer respect is extremely disappointing.
Don’t waste your time like I did. There are other companies that actually value their customers and provide proper service.

Dear Miele Customer Service,
We own a Miele G5074 SCVi dishwasher, purchased at the end of 2021.
In 2024, the machine broke down and displayed the F25 error code. We contacted Miele Service and paid over €400 for the repair. Now, less than two years later, the exact same F25 error has appeared again. Once more, we are being told that we need to pay another €400+ for a repair.
This is completely unacceptable.
We paid thousands of euros for a Miele appliance because of your reputation for quality and durability, including the promise of 10 years of use. Instead, we are facing the same serious malfunction twice in less than five years, with no guarantee that it will not happen again in another year or two.
At this point, we have paid:
- Thousands of euros for the appliance
- €400+ for the first repair
- And are now being asked for another €400+
There is no guarantee that this issue will not reoccur, which makes this product a waste of money rather than a long-term investment.
We do not want to pay another €400 for a recurring defect. If a repair does not last, the customer should not be forced to repeatedly pay for the same failure. A product marketed for long-term reliability should not break down twice with the same error in such a short period.
We expect Miele to take responsibility and offer a free repair, a lasting solution, or an appropriate alternative. Otherwise, this situation reflects extremely poorly on Miele’s quality standards and customer service.
We are very disappointed and expect a serious response.
Update
I contacted Coolblue and was informed that, under European consumer protection laws, I am entitled to have this appliance repaired for up to eight years after purchase. This applies particularly in this case, as Miele itself publicly claims that its appliances are designed to last between 10–15 years, and even up to 20 years.
As a result, my case is now being handled through the retailer where the appliance was purchased — Coolblue — and mediators will be involved to resolve this matter.
Given the repeated failure of the appliance and the short period of time between repairs, Miele should never have charged me for the previous repair. The fact that the same issue has occurred again clearly indicates a structural defect or lack of durability that does not meet reasonable consumer expectations under EU law.
I therefore expect:
1. A full resolution of the current issue at no cost to me, and
2. Reimbursement of the previous repair invoice, which was unjustly charged.
I trust that, with the involvement of the mediators, this matter will be resolved promptly and fairly. I expect Miele to take responsibility for a product that has failed multiple times well within its stated lifespan.
Kind regards,
Libia Arteaga

I'm out of detergent for my Twindos washing machine, and I wanted to order a box of Ultraphase 1 and 2. Normally, you could choose the number of phases 1 and 2 per box. Because I now have Ultraphase 2, I have two bottles left from my previous box order. Now you can only choose three bottles of phase 1 and three of phase 2, of which you pay for five and get one free. My question to Miele was, why can't I choose the number of phases 1 and 2 myself in the promotion? Why can't I order the Refresh Elixir separately in my Miele app? I now have to order the box with three phases 1 and three phase 2. I wanted five phases 1 and one phase 2 of the Refresh Elixir. After all, you pay so much money and don't have a choice in your order. Until my order arrives, I bought “Pots”detergent for the first time to do my laundry, and you know what? I'm actually quite happy with it. I've never used any other detergent than Miele's. Necessity knows no law.

I ordered seeing that the vacuum cleaner can be delivered next day. It was not delivered but next day I got a delivery reschedule for after 5 days.No track and trace code received after 5 days and the vacuum cleaner is 20% more expensive on the Miele site compared to other online shops.

Completely satisfied, I had an issue and a very competent technician came to my house, checked and solved the problem and explained to me the details. Miele is a guarantee of quality. One only point: the company has been moving production from Germany to Polland and changing some components from steel to some different "plastic like" mix of material. When I bought my washing machine I have selected a model still made in Germany. I hope Miele will keep production in Germany and keep high quality standards. Otherwise in the long run people will stop buying expensive products. Thank you!

Miele service needs big improvement!
I wrote 2 letters to Miele weeks ago to explain the problems I was having with my washing machine, Miele WEI 895 WPS 125 Gala Ed NL.
No one responded to my emails.
My husband went to Miele Leidschendam where he was promised we would receive a call, but it never came.
Finally, I booked a technician. It took a number of days to get the machine checked.
The technician came yesterday and spent about 2 hours trying to resolve the problems.
He left after replacing the soap outlet tubes.
I was told to run the machine 4 X on 90*, which I did.
Today, after doing one load of washing, I put the next load in. The machine went on, but a minute later sounded an alarm. The machine stopped working and displayed “Service required “.
I called Miele . The first appointment I can get for a technician is next week.
I have 3 loads of washing that need to be done urgently, but I can’t use my machine.
The clothes come out covered in a film of residue that make them look dirtier than when they went in.
While the Miele technician and people we speak with are polite and friendly, they never do anything to help.
I’m stone-walled and told that that’s just the way they do things.
Miele is a big let-down.
I’m very disappointed in Miele! What happened to the company they used to be?

The Miele WTI 370 WPM PowerWash 2.0 has been a total disappointment. The dryer shrinks and damages my clothes — I’ve had to stop using it entirely, which means air-drying everything in my tiny home. The wash cycle doesn’t even run smoothly; it randomly stops mid-cycle and expects me to press a button to continue rinsing. When it finally finishes, it beeps non-stop until I open the door — absolutely maddening. The Miele app is another joke: slow, outdated, and completely unusable since it logged me out over a year ago. For the ridiculous price we paid, this is unacceptable. Friends paid a quarter of the price for machines that just work. I feel totally ripped off. Never buying Miele again.

Received an mandatory update on my Miele H7840BPX of over €4000,-. The update failed and Miele had to visit me and replace some hardware.
Spoke with the engineer onsite who told me this rarely happens and understood my frustration of waiting for an engineer to be able to cook with it again.
Received an invoice of over € 650,- to fix this issue (which they created!). Now unwilling to credit this because of their explanation; 'it was outside of the warranty'.
Would suggest to keep your updates and let me just use the oven as is. Nice business model to break your equipment by an update, send an technician and invoice a lot. Just repeat it once in a while and your golden Miele!

My old washing machine broke and I was told I had to buy Miele if I wanted something to last even if it's almost 3 times the price.
So far I have had the machine for 1 month and I have had 2 issues
- It's not possible to connect to the wifi. I have called customer service multiple times and they don't know anything except pointing me out to their website help center which of course I have already read.
- Most importantly, I bought a special 125 edition washing machine which had 125 extra weeks of warranty that now they don't want to honor.
Without this two features I could have gotten a model that was at least 300 euros less. The machine washes fine, and now I hope it lasts as much as they promise.
Update from my review: Miele contacted me and agreed to honor the warranty since it was a mistake from their website. I appreciate it. It’s just a shame I needed to put a public review for them to give me proper customer service.

I booked Miele’s "Fixed-price" repair service (€350) for my dishwasher. When the technician arrived, he falsely claimed I had not booked this service (despite email confirmation) and demanded €750 instead. When I questioned this, and mentioned that it seems like a scam, he became aggressive and threatening with me, making me fear for my safety in my own home. I asked him to leave immediately, which he eventually did.
I reported this to Miele, expecting them to take it seriously. Instead, they ignored the technician's behavior and billed me for the visit. Their response was dismissive, showing zero concern for customer safety or satisfaction.
Ultimately, I ended up having to pay 925 euros for a replacement dishwasher from Miele. The technicians from 'ExtraMile' which arrived to install the replacement appliance were highly professional and polite, so there was no issue with that process.
However, based on my experience, Miele Netherlands' customer support team do not care about their customers, or their safety in their homes. Beware.

Scheduled an appointment, clearly stating the problem and the exact parts needed. Wait a week for first technician, who arrives without the parts and uses tape to "fix" the problem. The "fix". lasted one wash cycle. Waited another week for second technician, who also showed up without the part. Out €190, wasted two mornings waiting for technicians, and still have a broken dishwasher two weeks after first call to Miele.
Update: All of this was conveyed to Miele before writing this review and nothing has been resolved.

My washing machine, which is an older model that opens from the top part, got stuck last friday (25.10.24). The customer service could not help me on the phone as the drum is stuck so I had to make an appointment. They gave me a date for 4th November and funnily enough they said I was on the High Priority list. 10 days to come check out the problem, where I still have my clothes stuck inside, wet. With no promise on compensating for the repair or my clothes if permanent damage occurs. I find it outrageous as I would expect a different approach from a brand this "prestigious", rather than sending someone after 10 days, asking for 330 euros and no compensation on the belongings. I was not able to speak to anybody other than the customer service as well.

Miele lives off a past reputation for quality that is not was it used to be, it's not better than any other average decent, but cheaper, brand, and the customer service is very disappointing. My washing machine broke down just short of 8 years, a piece of the spider flange broke off. Unlike other brands (and their much more expensive professional line) they do not sell that piece as spare part, you have to buy the way more expensive entire drum. Add in the labour cost to install it and a reparation does not make economical sense (yes, planned obsolescence comes to mind), you can toss an otherwise perfectly working machine. So much for all the promises of quality and sustainability. I figured before I start sharing my disappointment around I might let Miele know about it 1st. After I wrote a detailed message someone called me, while I was not expecting anything given the reviews here, he was understanding and referred the case to complaints and maybe they could do a gesture because Miele stands by its products, it could take 1-2 weeks he said. I was pleasantly surprised and thought if they offered some discount on a new one that would mean they indeed do stand by their products. Nothing heard after over 2 weeks, I called, another man told me that my case was closed and they can't do anything other than send a technician (at over Eur 300 a visit I don't need to pay him to tell me that my machine is a total loss, I know). So not only nobody in the complaints department bothered to ask for technical details and photos, they also don't bother letting you know that the case is closed.

I have two Miele products, a washing machine and a dishwasher. The washing machine is not rinsing the clothes and is not evacuating the water after the washing cycle (clothes are wet and soapy). I called the customer service to have the washing machine repaired. This is not a cheap service, being a Miele, it costs 343 euro and the commitment is that the service will be done with a one year warranty.
After paying this, the same technician came twice in a row and had the same statement - there is an accumulation of soap that cannot be removed, it takes 4-6 months for the soap to come "by itself". He agrees as well that the washing machine is not usable in this time. He could take out the soap, but it takes up to 4 hours and he has no time.
Then a "specialist" came and said the same. He logged in his visit that "the problem has no solution".
After the specialist visit, the service department logged one complaint, that "the appliance is bad". No outcome.
Then the Miele service team asked me to call to the sales team, who kept me on the phone for 15 minutes, then shouted at me that they have no solution.
So then the service team logged another complaint, the second one. How long does the complaint take to solve? They don't know.
Mind that various people talk to you each time, they all want the same story all over, they all provide various complaint and incident numbers, each of them apologizes or gets angry, but none does anything.
To summarise - I paid 343 euro, had three visits from Miele that ended up nowhere, had 7-8 calls with Miele, had a sales person shouting, and a bad washing machine that may take "4-6 months" to fix by itself.
Please consider this when you pay for a Miele appliance twice as much as for any other similar product.

Ordered vacuum cleaner, received wrong delivery date, no tracking available and no customer service at all. 5 days after placing the order still no tracking or information regarding my order. Was told it takes two weeks to refund my money. Worst e-commerce I have experienced in a very long time.

I recently had a fault with my washing machine. It was a rare event even according to an independent technician I asked separately. Not only did the engineer quickly diagnose the problem, but he told me it needed replaced.
My heart sank because it was only a few years old and I just moved to the Netherlands.
But no need to worry, Miele offered a replacement and I received it within days, fully installed.
I’ve bought other appliances from Miele over the years and can honestly say no other appliance company has customer service and quality like this. It’s like companies used to be: honest and easily accessible. Just try calling customer service at competitors, you will quickly learn that “goedkoop is duurkoop”. If you care about sustainability and your own sanity, spend more and buy here.

The worst experience ever. For the prices they offer the service is a complete disaster. We've ordered a dryer a month ago and they still cannot organize the delivery.
We've asked for a lift as we have a steep staircase and they've offered to organize the lift.
For 3 weeks in a row the delivery guys from Miele and the lift driver cannot coordinate and the delivery gets delayed each week. We don't receive their contact numbers so we cannot even call them.
