There are many really bad services in London, but this one by far is the worst. Constant strikes, delays and cancellations on bus and tubes. I can't count how many times my plans were delayed not because I woke up late but because the bus did not arrive or Northern Line High Barnet Branch decided to have a 15 minute break or bus 21 decided not to show up at all or because tube drivers are not happy with £60k salary and want 4 working days.

Contactless overcharges and train nightmares

You can't use cash, you have to buy an Oyster card which is geared for residents, or you can use contactless payment (ie. credit card, google pay etc.) BUT TWICE the system didn't read the tap out (worked to open the exit gate) but instead they billed the 2 of us $150 CAD in ADDITION to the actual fare which they ALSO charged. ----------------The way to challenge it is to use the app, but it is geo-locked so unavailable to use in Canada. There is a general email if you're lucky enough to find it, but no response and doubt I'll hear one. My recommendation? Dispute the charge with the bank immediately. This WILL happen to you.

ALSO, $26 CAD to get from Gatwick to London central and for 2 of us arriving on different dates, both times the trains weren't running. I waited 3 (three) hours until the problem was fixed and if customer service cared they'd have told me the alternatives available. I did ask.

Beware!

Beware! Avoid the Silvertown at all costs. I tried to appeal the extortionate late charge on the grounds my son was very sick so I missed the window. I sent in evidence but the appeal was rejected. £90 for an honest mistake under exceptional circumstances is shocking and cruel behaviour.

Dealing with the customer service team…

Dealing with the customer service team has to be the most frustrating and time wasting experience I have ever dealt with.
Staff are rude and quite frankly not up to the job as they clearly do not know know how to deal with even the most simple, straight forward complaints.
Trying to get a refund out of them when it has clearly been TFLS's issue is a nightmare, it makes you wonder if their delay tactics are done on purpose to try to get you to give up.
Overall an extremely poor experience as a result of inadequate staff

There was a disruption at Neasden on…

There was a disruption at Neasden on the Metropolitan line since 28th August, next day still major delays. The staff at the station are absolutely useless, they do not have accurate information about train departures, tfl has not organised replacement buses saying it is not engineering issue therefore they are not responsible. Ridiculous reasoning. I don't think they deliver quality service for the money we pay for. Lame excuses, not organised, expensive mess. Almost missed my flight because of TFL!

Even if for once everything is running, trains are 24/7 delayed, buses are 24/7 delayed but more understanding w traffic. However sometimes they just don't show and nothing is updated

The line 41 tha is supposed to bring us…

The line 41 tha is supposed to bring us until Archway, has today 4 consecutive buses for Crouch End! I stay one hour and a half to get to my destination! This happened from 10 years now and I wish to know why we pay for a trip that leaves us in the middle of the way, doesn’t matter how old you are, how many children you are carrying or any disability that you may have! I am a brain stroke survivor and the only word I have for TFL is you are so stupid that you built buses without windows?! Do you think that you are good! You are distant of good you are the worse one in London!

A horrible company

A horrible company! Despite proving over and over again I am no longer in possession of a vehicle accumulating toll charges, they demand I pay because they don’t have the contact details of the new driver. £270 is nothing to them yet they demand I pay for services they haven’t provided me. Make this right. My reference number is 2005759260

Subject

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding E3 Bus Driver – 22 July 2026

Dear TfL Customer Services,

I would like to make a formal complaint regarding the driver of an E3 bus travelling towards Chiswick.

The incident occurred on 22 July 2026 at approximately 9:37 am, at the Clifton Road bus stop in Greenford.

When the bus stopped, I was directly at the bus door and was in the process of boarding. The doors had not yet fully closed, and I knocked on the door to make the driver aware that I was there and trying to board.

Despite this, the driver closed the doors and drove away without allowing me to board.

I understand that drivers have to follow their schedules and operate the service safely, but in this situation I was already at the door and attempting to board while the doors were still open. I believe the driver should have allowed me to board rather than leaving the stop.

Unfortunately, this caused me to miss the expected connection/time and resulted in me being late for an important work appointment.

I would therefore ask TfL to investigate this incident and identify the bus and driver using the information provided. I would also ask that any available CCTV or onboard footage and relevant operational records be reviewed, as the exact time, date, route and location should make the incident identifiable.

Please refer this complaint to the relevant bus operator and investigate whether the driver followed the appropriate procedures in this situation.

I would appreciate a response explaining the outcome of the investigation and any action taken as a result of my complaint.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Worst transportation line ever (Piccadilly line service)

Unbelievable. The Piccadilly line is one of the most important transport links in London, especially for people who rely on public transport to get to work and for passengers travelling to and from Heathrow Airport. Yet it feels like there is no service for a huge part of the day, almost every week.

How is this acceptable when fares keep getting more expensive? We are paying more and more for a service that is constantly disrupted, delayed, suspended, or simply not running when people actually need it.

London is supposed to be a world-class city, but the public transport system especially the Piccadilly line, it can feel like the complete opposite. For ordinary working people, expensive fares are already difficult enough. When the main line we rely on repeatedly fails to provide a reliable service, it wastes our time, affects our work, and makes everyday life unnecessarily stressful.

If you keep increasing the price, at least provide a service that people can actually rely on. This is not a luxury, it is basic public transport. Absolutely unbelievable.
