Odoo messed up my VAT peppol registration…
Odoo did my VAT peppol registration with the Belgian government in december 2025. Now 6 months later, I see this registration is no longer valid. Seems they have removed it or never properly registered it.
Pretty bad customer service and could have gotten me fined 1000's of euros. Beware
Edit: in response to the reply below: Odoo deleted my mandatory registration with peppol. They did not notify me of this. It also was not still active as they claim. I found out because my bank discovered. Luckily before the government did, otherwise I would have been fined.
I also find it very strange an accounting software company deletes your whole database because you didn't log in for a while. Can't comprehend.

Our support team tried to reach out and explain the situation. The issue was that your database, created in December 2025, expired due to inactivity. This happens when databases are not regularly logged in. I see that you created a new one and registered again.
This works in this case as the database has been inaccessible for a while, and the Peppol connection was severed, but please note that the Peppol registration may still be active on an unreachable database. Should this be the case, you can reach out to us, and we can restore the database access.

This company employs highly aggressive sales tactics and significantly misrepresents the capabilities of its product during the sales process. They charge substantial amounts for implementation and support services, often without having a proper understanding of the client's actual requirements.
There are numerous hidden costs that only become apparent after the contract is signed, resulting in unexpected financial burdens. The product itself appears to be a generic, template-based solution that is force-fitted onto organizations with vastly different business processes and workflows, rather than being tailored to customer needs.
From the initial sales discussions through implementation, there is a consistent pattern of miscommunication, overpromising, and misrepresentation. In our experience, the company takes advantage of MSMEs that may lack the resources to thoroughly evaluate the product before committing.
Overall, the product is inflexible, the implementation approach is poor, and the sales practices are deeply concerning. We would strongly advise prospective customers to conduct extensive due diligence and obtain complete clarity on all costs, deliverables, and product capabilities before signing any agreement.

Do not recommend for manufacturing companies
The software is targeted for small companies with standard products. I would not reccommend to implement in Manufacturing with customised products
If you can use standard solution without customisation - it's ok, if neede to customise - do not recommend it.
Initial implementation budget was doubled - and we di not even reac the goal. Do not waste money for standartization - better to choose

Find yourself a more professional solution; these guys lack communication. I have not been able to open an account for days. They have zero communication skills. First, I reached out to them via live chat and asked how to open an account; she insisted I meet someone. Why waste my time? Anyway, she arranged someone from the sales team. I strictly asked if I could open an account without the sales team; she said no. Then Google Meet time, voila, the sales rep doesn't know English. He speaks only Spanish. Did I contact you in Spanish? Why the hell did you arrange a meeting for me with a Spanish sales rep? Meeting canceled now; I can not reach anyone for days. Already wasted a week.

Depending on the questions you asked during the Live Chat, our operator may have suggested a meeting to provide you with a product demonstration rather than simply helping you create an account.
Regarding the meeting itself, if you were connected with a sales representative who did not speak English, it likely means your request was associated with a different geographical region. We agree that this is not the experience you should have had.

I've been a client for 2 years
I've been a client for 2 years. On my subscription, an extra user was added by mistake, by odoo system. I paid for that user for almost 8 months. There was no refund. And now they cancelled my user account that was supposed to stay active. Besides charging more than what was advertised on the site... the support offered by agent is downright irresponsible, since it's standard practice for him not to answer questions and to string you along for months. Unfortunately, I'm switching platforms because of the inadequate and incompetent support offered by this guy. On the technical side, the platform is very good.

After reviewing your case, we would like to clarify a few points. Users are not added randomly to a subscription. There is always an action or event that leads to an additional user being created. Even if a user is created for testing purposes, it is taken into account for the subscription. We also note that this situation was reported approximately eight months after it occurred. Had it been brought to our attention sooner, we may have been able to review the situation earlier.
Regarding your account access, our records indicate that the subscription was automatically suspended following a lapse in payment, in accordance with our standard process.
Concerning the pricing difference you mention, your subscriptions were created under different conditions. One benefited from a first-year promotional discount, while the other did not. The price currently displayed on our website is reserved for new customers and does not apply to additional subscriptions created under an existing customer account.
Finally, we apologize if the communication was not provided in your preferred language. We are happy to accommodate customers in their preferred language whenever possible.

World's worst support and onboarding - disasterous
Good system. Total incompetence and cover up culture in the support and onboarding. I paid $1000 for 25 hours onboarding and setup and having nothing functional that works. Went through the complaints process and just got excuses, constantly pushing out appointments, misjudgements and cover ups. I asked to be put through to management and was denied. I asked for refund and have seen nothing. I wrote on Linkedin to the owner and no response. Do not ever go with Odoo or hand over your money. Their system might be ok, but their support culture is a disaster.

If you pay them, they wont every let you return to free again.
I was using their free apps (Calendar, contacts and CRM) I paid for their email and automations and I could not figure it out. I finally got some help on Odoo, the guy spent 20 minutes telling me nothing that helped and sent me links to the same files I was struggling with, so... no help still.
I gave up, went back to the free plan to find out the that Odoo wont ever let you return to the free plan unless you give up every app but 1.
So they lock you in and let you use for free multiple apps, but if you ever make the mistake in trying their free plans, you will lose all of your data and you can't use the free plan of Odoo anymore unless you decide you just want to use Odoo as a contact book or something completely useless.
Dont ever pay for this product unless you're willing to lose all of your data if you ever want to stop paying. They give you your data in spreadsheet form but you have to then start a new CRM with a new company.
Very weird they punish you for paying them money and essentially blackmail you, telling you if you ever want to use their products in any way you have ever been using them before, you can't do it for free anymore, you must pay!
Lost my crm info doing what the guy on the call told me, had a non-profit event that wen to crap because all of my contacts were with Odoo and my stuff got deleted until I paid them again.
This companies shady and dishonest practices have cause me more delays and problems and loss of money than any other CRM I have ever used.

Odoo is a total scam
Odoo is a total scam, you pay the most expensive license to have Odoo offline in your own servers for privacy reasons, now they are charging 25% plus to continue "providing" the support to old Odoo versions but the thing is what support are they talking about if you have your Odoo in your own servers with your own in-house support. This and more similar situations makes Odoo a trap for new businesses. Avoid if you can, it is my advice as a serial business entrepreneur +20 years in the IT market.

Customers who upgrade to one of the three supported versions continue to benefit from standard support as part of their subscription, without this additional fee.
We understand that opinions may differ on this policy, but it is applied consistently across our customer base, regardless of deployment model or internal capabilities.

Lousy Support from Fidobe Company a provider/ support for Odoo in UAE
Odoo is a very good application, but the support we have been receiving from Fidobe has been disappointing. The level of professionalism, responsiveness, and overall service quality has not met our expectations. We believe Odoo would be even better supported by a more reliable and customer-focused partner.
