bad food, not a 5 star resort and despite its name there’s no Spa.
Overall this ain’t a 5 star hotel and despite the name of the hotel there isn’t a spa or any other wellness center except maybe the two sheds were you can have a very bad to mediocre massage and there is a beautysalon.
For both you have to pay (a lot) extra. You are approached aggressively by the guys trying to sell you a massage continuously.
For the all inclusive formula there’s free food (3 times a day, nothing offerend outside these moments) and local drinks. In reality the food is very bad, mostly blend, overcooked, boring and everyday it’s literally the same. No 5 star. No any star. I doubt it it’s even fresh For the a la carte restaurant you have to book in advance, by standing in line for ages to get a reservation finding out everything is mostly booked.
The food at the premises is a laugh, the tapas in the Spanish restaurant for example consists out of literally 2 mushrooms out of a can or 3 olives. Nothing is really fresh.
The local drinks ain’t local but just a mix with a sugary syrup and water and everything taste literally the same. The wines are undrinkable and for a more less normal bottle of wine you have to pay at least 19 euros. Cocktails are a laugh, it just syrup with vaguely the taste of a drink.
The resort is seriously understaffed, constantly asking for tips and to change euro coins. We have to wait for everything. They forget orders or bring the wrong food.
Nothing is done automatically and we have to call frontdesk everytime for eg towelchanges or to get some extra amenities reception is hardly proactive to tell that for example activities like a gym or yoga or off the grounds and a 5 - 10 minute walk away.
The rooms are old, things break off, the rainshower is broken and hardly produces any water, there is bath but it’s more a tiled bassin with cracks and tiles coming off and ain’t a pleasure to sit in. The airconditioning is extremely noisy and have to set it below 10 degrees to get any cooling
There are no activities on the resort but all take place at the other resorts but you’ll have to find out yourself about it
The WiFi is not free in reality there is only free WiFi at the lobby, the very expensive paid WiFi (35€) isn’t working properly with hardly any reception especially in the rooms. We bought SIM cards but in the rooms there isn’t any reception at all
There’s hardly any beach and you have to get up early to get any spot where you can sit nicely. The coral is destroyed and there is no supervision of people walking straight over the remains of the coral
This resort feels as a factory and a tourist trap and for the price I’ve paid and the promises I’ve been made i feel robbed and we’ll obviously will never return.
The weather was everyday nice and sunny .
Some restaurants (especially The Cove) were helpful and friendly and served good breakfast. Some off the grounds restaurant were good like the Thai restaurant.
Strangely enough the resort get only good reviews. I hardly complain about hotels etc but this just ain’t no good resort and certainly not a 5 star resort. Then we were asked to post a positive review on TripAdvisor by the workers, he said he actually would accompany me to a computer to fill in a review! So apparently that’s the way to get those raving reviews
