i would give minus if i could

i would give minus if i could. Absolutely disgusting. They allow sellers to sell completely unusable items which should be in the bin. Anyway bought some items they had a mish mash of description so i asked in a nice manner please can you help me with some details. Guess what they went all defensive. untested unchecked so cant do anything.

Going back and forth i started questioning them they stopped replying so i said i will do a chargeback. Suddenly several emails and blocked my account.

Companies like this dont like it when you stand up to them. I dont know how they get away with so much. They charge in total 46% fees and treat you like a secondhand customer.

Blocked my account because i asked for help funny.

Very defensive and always push everything on their terms and condition.

By the way i was told due to bank holiday we been busy. When it comes to paying an invoice everything 1 hour they send you and email

Well i can assure you i have not lost anything but you have a match and i will take this further. I will contact my bank. it is something as a consumer we can do if the seller is t transparent.

Finally i also asked them for the bidding list as on numerous lots i noticed shill bidding its been months im still waiting for an update.

Smart Asset Solutions Ltd - *** WARNING *** AVOID ***

Bought a Land Rover Discovery 4 through Smart Asset Solutions Ltd (via i-Bidder) — buyers, please be careful
Bought a Land Rover Discovery 4 through Smart Asset Solutions Ltd (via i-Bidder) — buyers, please be careful

I bought a Land Rover Discovery 4 through an auction run by Smart Asset Solutions Ltd. The vehicle was described and priced as a standard passenger SUV, but what I received was a commercially registered vehicle (Light 4x4 Utility on the V5C) with a different configuration to what was shown. VAT was also charged on the hammer price despite being told before I bid that no VAT applied. When I tried to collect the vehicle, serious engine and gearbox faults became apparent almost immediately and it had to be recovered rather than driven away.

I raised a complaint and asked for a refund before paying the balance owed. This was refused, and I had to pay the remaining invoice to avoid the daily late payment and storage charges set out in their terms, while continuing to dispute the vehicle's condition and the VAT charged.

I'm sharing this because I've since found other buyers who describe similar experiences with this auctioneer — vehicles presented very differently to how they arrived, unexpected charges, and difficulty getting a straight answer when something goes wrong. If you've had a comparable experience buying through Smart Asset Solutions Ltd, I'd genuinely like to hear from you — feel free to get in touch.

⚠️ **WARNING

⚠️ **WARNING — READ THE TERMS BEFORE BUYING**

In my experience, a lot of the items sold on this site are not simply “returns” — they can be in very poor condition and may not work at all.

Be extremely careful when buying items such as toasters, coffee machines, kettles, etc. Some products may have been used and can contain old food, old coffee, mould, and other residue. I’ve also seen kettles with so much limescale that it would take me years of normal use to build up that amount.

And that’s just the condition. The bigger problem is that many items simply **do not work**, and once you factor in the cost of repairing them, they are often not worth repairing.

There are also issues with orders and delivery. Emails may not be answered, you can be charged for delivery and then receive only part of your order, and you may be told that missing items were “lost in the warehouse.” You can end up paying delivery charges for items you never actually receive. If you buy a set, you may receive only part of the set.

Once you add **delivery, VAT and the buyer's fees**, you may find that you can buy a working item online for roughly the same price as the final auction price.

**My advice: read the terms very carefully before bidding and work out the TOTAL cost before you buy.**

The site itself states:

> **“All items within this sale are grade B or UNCHECKED & UNTESTED RETURNS.”**

Grade B items may have damaged or missing packaging, be ex-display, be missing accessories, or have cosmetic damage/use.

Unchecked and untested items can be **faulty** and may also be missing parts or accessories.

So please understand what you are actually buying. In my opinion, a lot of this stock is essentially **junk that should be going to landfill**, rather than something you should expect to buy cheaply and put straight into use.

**BUYER BEWARE — READ THE TERMS, CHECK THE TOTAL COST, AND DON'T ASSUME AN ITEM WORKS JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS OK IN THE LISTING.**

Ibidder dont care about the would be bidders!!

I bid on an item via Ibidder list and was told by the auctioneer that my bid was unsuccessful. They later contacted me and said they had reconsidered and I had now won the vehicle. I told them that I had purchased another after being told no. They demanded money, I thought about it and was going to send them £500 as a "compensation amount" that they requested (after making threats!. I tried to raise a bank transfer and my bank (Nationwide) rang me and said "DO NOT TRADE" with this organisation! I contacted ibidder regarding the matter and I spoke to them at length. I was told that the auctioneers were being watched given the huge problems and comments on Trustpilot and previous complaints. I later found out after registering for an auction that there is negative comment on my ibidder account hence some auction sites not registering me. I told ibidder that they knew the history and making a one sided "bad bidder" decison was wrong. Making this unilateral negative “punishment” without any consideration of multiple negative customer feedback (look at trustpilot as I previously told you) to you is disgraceful and disrespectful. They do not want to Know...dont use them register for your own auctions.

Great place to pick up bargains

Great place to pick up bargains, most items are Amazon returned parcels and are nearly all brand new stock, occasionally you'll get a damaged item but it's worth the chance because of the super low prices.

had a very disappointing experience…

had a very disappointing experience with iBidder.

I spent around £500 on a lot, and what I received was completely different from what was advertised. One item was missing, another item was not even the one I had actually won in the auction, and the rest of the items were in terrible condition – heavily rusted, damaged, peeling, and completely unusable.

The listing stated that the items were “unchecked”, but that is not an excuse for selling goods that are obviously in such poor condition. The photos in the listing showed brand-new products in their original packaging, creating the impression that the items were at least in usable condition. What I received looked nothing like the advertised images. There wasn’t even any original packaging.

To make matters worse, their customer service is terrible. The only way to contact them is by email, and they barely respond. After several emails, the only offer I received was a refund of 10% of the value of the missing item only, completely ignoring the fact that the entire lot was not as described. When I rejected that offer because the whole lot was affected, they simply stopped responding altogether.

Based on my experience, I do not consider this company trustworthy. I feel like I have wasted £500 on items that are essentially worthless. I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from iBidder to think twice before spending their money.

Stay away from this platform

Stay away from this platform. In my experience, it is full of dishonest sellers, and i-bidder offers little to no support when things go wrong. Delivery charge from £36 changed to £96 and not refunding my item cost which they charge you before sending the delivery note.

I had a very bad experience with Supreme Auctions Ltd and believe I was misled during the transaction. When I contacted i-bidder for help, they simply stated that they are "just a platform" and refused to take any responsibility for the sellers they advertise.

If you choose to use this site, do so at your own risk. Don't expect meaningful assistance from i-bidder if you encounter problems with an auctioneer.

setting the record straight.

First off the bat and what many people don't seem to grasp is that i-bidder doesn't sell anything, doesn't auction anything.... they are a platform so you can bid on items at auction from home or where ever, yes there's extra costs for bidding remotely, but its up to you to read each auction sites rules on bidding, i bidder isn't responsible for anything at these auctions or its condition that's your responsibility. Want my advice stick to ones that are near your home, and on the viewing day go look and test items yourself. I bidder works well, automatic bidding for you if you want up to your set price....my only gripe is ...no hang on i haven't got any.....
