Flex and Go Sarajevo Airport - Staff is trained to aggressive sell you extra insurance you don't need: I booked and paid beforehand via CarJet (so I didn't know what company I would rent from) and took out the extra insurance because I got a good deal that way. At Flex and go, I was early for the pick up, they processed all my details (passport, driver's licence and credit card) and then told me to wait till 20h because the system wouldn't open until than. That's when, all of a sudden, the employee saw that my credit card was valid untill the end of the year, and not the 6 months required (so 2 weeks difference!!!). He then tried to sell me an extra insurance (165 euros!!!) on top of the price I paid (85 euros for 2 days rental including extra insurance, which seems enough and is exactly what they advertise on their website). The employee then told me the price that I paid was absolutely not the normal high season price and that I had to pay extra or lose the car. He wouldn't let me talk to his manager and didn't give me the paperwork (insurance price). A few days later, when I returned home, I dropped by the office to again try and talk to the manager and get the paperwork (so I can get a refund from CarJet). Again they refused, stating I could go to the other office to look for the paperwork there or write an e-mail. They could not provide a price list for the insurance. Their tactics are untransparent and despicable. STAY CLEAR!!!
Bait and switch, cancelled reservation at desk.
Arrived at the desk in Katowice to wait in line for a family that was picking out their rentals on the spot. So much for making a reservation so I don't have to wait.
After 25 minutes I got to the desk, provided my reservation number and details, and the clerk began his upsell-spiel. I told him I didn't want and wasn't going to pay extra insurance, so he threatened to cancel my reservation if I didn't take it. The extra insurance runs for 70% of the rental cost, to add a little more context.
When I didn't budge, he did in fact cancel the reservation. Conclusion? They bait you in online with very low rental prices, then tack on the insurance once you're at the desk when you "don't have a choice" anymore.
Steer clear of FLEXTOGO
Not the best start to a family trip, I booked the car rental with Flextogo as an add on to my flight with easyJet and paid in full using my credit card in advance.
On arrival at the Flextogo reception there was one person serving, though several bookings travelled in the courtesy mini bus from Munich airport. Each customer in front seemed to take longer than normal for a car hire. When I eventually got served I presented my driving licence and confirmed my booking reference, then I was asked for my credit card I had made the booking with, to be told it wasn’t acceptable (even though full payment had been taken weeks previously), the receptionist advised that my credit card only had initials instead of my full forenames. I have had many credit cards over the years and can’t recall any having my forenames embossed (probably more secure without the details). No other credit / debit was acceptable (not that they had my full forenames either) as I was told it had to match my original booking card. I was told the only way around this was to pay an additional insurance of £163 for the 5 day hire period. As it was getting dark and the rental car collection point was a few miles from the airport I begrudgingly paid the additional £163 (for some strange reason my credit card with my initials instead of my full forenames was now acceptable). SCAM, SCAM, SCAM !!!!!
Also I had booked a VW Polo but was presented a key for a Toyota Yaris (possibly a cheaper rental than booked), told the car was in the underground car park. After a tiring and time consuming search for the car I returned to reception to ask where exactly the car was, I could hear the receptionist scamming the next customer but was told again it was in underground car park but eventually found it in the above ground car park, all in all approx 2 hours from waiting for Flextogo courtesy bus at Munich airport to starting the hire car.
As I booked using the easyJet website, I suspect there is a business relationship between the two companies. Since returning home I have browsed the Flextogo reviews and see there is a very high proportion of negative reviews and similar bad experiences. In my opinion EasyJet would be wise to sever links with Flextogo.
Worst scam I have ever seen at airport
Worst scam I have ever seen at airport. Booked a car for €220. The shuttle took an hour to take me to a remote countryside location. Then they asked for an additional “special insurance” of an extra €300. So they tried to blackmail me into taking the pre booked car for €520 instead of the agreed €210. Because they take customers to remote locations many people agreed to do it. But it’s a scam. I refused. To pay the invented special insurance but they charged me anyway and did not give me a car. The incident has been reported to the Police and Flex to Go is well known for their scams. Read Reddit as well for examples.

So far very good (despite the extra insurance as per usual with the “value” companies) Ritz and Fez were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The car is nice and all being well things will be ok when I return it
Hired a car back in Jun'26 from Rzeszow…
Hired a car back in Jun'26 from Rzeszow airport.
Car hire was booked online in advanced through their app.
Turned up at the airport and the check in desk was trying to advise that i hadn't paid enough or hadn't paid for some part of the rental, so when i questioned them on this pulling up the receipts/booking details they then apologized and said that everything had been paid for and the only amount out standing was the refundable deposit.
So I paid this as it was clear this was outstanding, however this wasn't booked on my credit card as they stated, but actually collected as a payment!
Now 4 weeks later I'm still arguing with customer support (who are slow to respond) about getting this refunded which they have finally acknowledged was incorrectly taken as a payment and not booked.
If its not settled in a timely manner I'll start discussion with my credit card company about charge back given the new evidence of them stating it was incorrectly taken.
Doesn't look like just me that this has happened to!
Other than that the rental was fine with no issues and the car was nice, clean, and new.
Just seems they have some admin side issues which lets the experience down!
DO NOT USE. As close to a con artist as youll get.
I booked through Enjoy Travel for a VW Gold (or similar) for a reasonable price from NZ, on a quick trip home to visit my Nan with terminal cancer.
I arrived into Manchester Airport, made my way to the pickup point for the Clayton Hotel and well, the shuttle never came for 40 mins. No worries, ill walk.
I got to the hotel and managed to find the tiny office in the back of the hotel. There was a person in front of me and another person who arrived the same time as me. We were both ushered out of the office and made to sit in the lounge outside.
Then it was my turn. 1 guy sat behind the desk, and 1 super friendly guy bouncing around behind me.
The guy behind the desk asks me for my passport, credit card and driving licence which i hand over.
Bearing in mind i have increased my CC limit before i flew to incorporate the huge deposit i was expecting on my card. Prior to leaving NZ, I took out a travel insurance that protected me from excess on the insurance so i did not want the full insurance product.
All looks good until....the guy behind the desk asks his mate for some help. The system "wouldn't allow" my booking to continue. This is where the tactics started looking back.
I was asked for 2 proofs of address. I was sure i read that this was for UK hirers, but i managed to find 2 recent statements online, but of course online was good enough.
I was told that my booking couldn't continue as the UK required proof of address to hire a car. Now i travel a lot, and a lot to the UK and i have never had this issue.
The guy then throws out £900 to allow the booking to continue, i cant remember the exact thing he said.
I told him i do not have that amount of money available as i am here on a last minute trip.
He made a comment about how little id paid for the car through my booking.
Then somehow he went down to £600, then £400 and finally rested on £300.
I was super tired having travelled for 36 hours and i just wanted to go and see my Nan so i agreed and paid on my credit card. He then gave the guy behind the desk a "bypass code" that magically let my booking continue.
Then came the upgrade, trying to be my best mate and telling me that he feels sorry for me, hes upgraded my car. From a VW Golf to a Vauxhall Corsa...righto...
No paperwork, no pre checklist and nothing to say ive taken the car, i was told to go out of this side door and someone would have my car ready.
Along came this filthy red Vauxhall Corsa, that looked like it had been sat under a tree for 3 weeks, no apologies, just "Here you go, make sure you take photos and dont damage it"
The car was actually fine, clean inside and ran really well, although a suspicious warning light kept popping up about a deflating tyre.
Brought the car back, and a man came over and grabbed the keys off me, had a look round and then pointed to a scuff mark on the wheel. I told him it was there, ive got a photo to prove it, and he just smiled. How many people would he have tried this on?
Again, no paperwork to sign it back in, just a "give us a good review will ya"
I contacted Enjoy Travel to complain about all of this manipulative and quite frankly conman behaviour, apparantly Flex replied saying the reason i was charged a "Low Authorisation Fee" was because i presented a Debit Card instead of a Credit Card, despite proof of payment being from my Credit Card. Anyway Enjoy decided to take the side of Flex and were not interested in any of my concerns so i have reported to the relevant authorities.
If anyone is reading this and has had a similar experience, i would strongly suggest reporting them as they prey on travellers and have been, and are still getting away with it.
Second negative experience in Wroclav…
Second negative experience in Wroclav airport, Poland
DO NOT RENT with Flex To Go !
If possible I would give 0 stars.
The attractive low prices for renting a car is a hoax which will give you a headache when picking up your rental car.
My comment is based on 2 very negative and frustrating experiences with Flex to GO.
The following happened:
In May in Hamburg such as in June in Wroclav 2026 I reserved a car with Flex to Go. In both cases the company refused to give me the reserved car. The reasons in Hamburg was: creditcard not valid enough time which never ever has been a reason for not supplying a car.
My creditcard was valid 6 monhts after the rental date. The second frustrating experience was again an issue with a new issued NEW creditcard, valid for over more then 5 years.
Now Flex to Go's reason of not accepting my creditcard was that the name in the voucher is not the same as on the creditcard. Again total bullshit. In over more then 40 rentals i have made... i have never had an issue with the fact that my name which in on the creditcard supposedly is wrong versus the files reservation request.
The result is i will never rent again with Flex to Go. In both cases being a traveler you are in a foreign country and under pressure in need of a car.. FLex To Go plays hard and pretends you are the one causing the troublel The underlying reason is they are deliberately causing troubles in order to make you pay more in an agressive manner.
In both cases i refused to engage in the rental, refusing their overpriced alternative without accepting a regular valid credit card.
I can imagine many travelers surrender and accept their bullshit and do rent with that company which i understand if you are under pressure. Therefor once more DO NOT RENT with Flex To Go!!!
If you do rent with Flex to Go count on problems and higher costs!
See the other reviews here on Trustpilot which back up my experience and bad performance of this company which should be banned. Thank you for your attention and I hope you take my warning seriously! Just do not rent with Flex To Go.
Let me put it this way: the prices they offer the cars for are to good to be true. Once you fall in this trap the outcome is headache and deception and frustration.
Let me know if my review was useful. Safe travels.
Rental Cancelled Because I Refused to…
Rental Cancelled Because I Refused to Write Down My Credit Card Security Code
I had a very disappointing experience with Flex To Go at Podgorica Airport.
During the vehicle pickup, I was asked to write down the CVC/CVV security code of my credit card on a separate piece of paper and sign it. I was not comfortable providing this sensitive security information, so I refused.
As a result, my rental agreement was cancelled, and I was denied the vehicle despite having a valid reservation.
In my opinion, customers should not be put in a position where they have to choose between disclosing sensitive credit card security information and receiving the car they have booked.
I hope Flex To Go reviews this procedure and clearly explains to customers in advance if such information is required at pickup. Had I known about this requirement beforehand, I would have chosen a different rental company.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend Flex To Go.
Do not use this company.
Do not use this company.
Twice now I have booked cars from them and walked away from the desk having been charged hundreds of Euros extra. These are the Wizz Air supplier and they blame the Wizz Air small print for all of the extra costs - the strangest small print I have ever encountered. If you fly to Gdansk and wanted to use AMEX for your security deposit? Computer says no - you can Only use that card if you pay full whack for the highest insurance.
Want to use a VISA or Mastercard? Well, if the card doesn’t state your whole name (initials cause another problem!), then it likely won’t be accepted either…unless you pay the highest cost insurance, of course.
Why I used them a second time, I foolishly booked the car with my flight through Wizz Air.
I won’t book via Wizz or Flex2Go again.
I highly recommend you read the small print on the Wizz Air CarTrawler system before booking, or better still
Liverpool Airport Car Hire, Flex To Go
We had a good experience at Liverpool airport, the staff were friendly and helpful. Mo in the office and Ritz re car insurance, which was a bit of a shock, as we didn't realise, at our ages, 69 and 75, we would be hit with new senior driver charges. Ritz very kindly sorted it out and allowed us both to drive. We were also upgraded to a new car. The young man in the office on our return even, very kindly washed our sons car as we had just washed the hire car before returning. He was also very kind and helpful. All in all, a good experience.
We had booked Manchester Clayton Hotel…
We had booked Manchester Clayton Hotel branch in my name as driver however two days earlier in Paris I had my wallet stolen, driver licence credit cards the lot. We tried for my wife to be the driver buy that was not possible.Mosh and Ritz were very good we had to pay full insurance on top, not my usual way of booking it without it we could not get the car, fair enough.we were facing no car as I had no licence and no credit card. The car was great and the hand over easy. The shuttle to Clayton Hotel is regular and so I don't know why people have moaned about that
Warsaw chopin aiport
If i could give no stars I would!.
If i could give no stars I would!.. we landed at Manchester airport and stood at the car hire pick up spot and noticed that.. VIP cars, that we actually booked through was not on the list on the wall. A shuttle bus pulled up and I asked the gentleman driving the bus could he help, he said to call the number on the booking that they had nothing to do with them. I called and was told to either wait for a half an hour for the Clayton hotel shuttle or do a 7 minute walk .. bare in mind it wasn’t just myself and my husband we had two small children age 5 and 7 with us in 37 degree heat!.. we decided to walk and as soon as we got in the place just screamed scam! In this “office” they had every excuse for me not to pay my €49 for the week for the car that I had booked months in advance!.. I ended up having to pay 4 times the amount!.. but that amount was only agreed after I was walking out.. it was nearly £700 that they tried to con me out of!.. I’d advise very very strongly to take a video of the car before leaving.. literally every scuff of the wheel because they tried to say I scuffed the wheel when I dropped the car back. 4 days into the holiday the car broke down, I called them and they just told me I had to sort it myself and ring RAC.. when we dropped the car back I asked for a itemised bill stating that there was absolutely no damage to the car and the fuel was refilled I was told to step out of the office and wait outside as they had another customer.. these poor people had very little English and looked in there late 60/70s but showed my their documents where they had to pay over a thousand deposit and the same for the rental. I spoke to the staff in the hotel and they advised me to call the police because they are scammers and the police are always being called when people are dropping cars back and they are trying to scam them from their deposits!! AVOID! I wish I looked up reviews before I went near these!
1 star because couldn’t award zero
1 star because couldn’t award zero. Scammers. I had insurance but they said I needed to take out their £50 a day insurance , never received any documents re car or insurance, certain I was misled and scammed out of £650. Total dodgy outfit, bullies and scammers, refused to provide any evidence of insurance or documents relating to car during entire duration of the hire. Fraudsters , avoid , they will scam you
Do not use
Do not use. The car company does not exist at the Tampa address given. The people at the address given said they had never heard of flex to go until the day before when someone else had tried to pick up their car. Tried calling multiply times but no answer, also noone responds to the whatsapp address on the website.
They could at least wear masks
From the moment I landed at manchester airport.
45 mins for the shuttle. I ended up getting a taxi to their location.
Another hour waiting to be served. There was one other customer in the office
Then the fun begins. We go through this piece of paper where they check all your documents.
Sorry sir you dont have a utility bill in paper format (I showed them my latest bill on my phone) we will have to charge you another 225 pounds for the 9 days rental. I challenged this and was told if you look at the small print on your voucher it clearly says you need to have paper copies.
After a 24 hour flight from Brisbane to manchester and all the waiting I had already done and the fact I had already paid the original price I paid the difference
We then move onto the car. I selected an intermediate car as I always do. I was given a small seat I can't remember the model. But was told they could upgrade me to a vauxhall corsa "upgrade" what a joke
The car was clean however had low fuel.
Fast forward to a month post hire
I get an email saying I had 2 penalty notices for a bridge crossing (which I had already paid) error on the bridge owners part . But flex to go were charging me 180 pounds for each notice so a total of 360 pounds
The ridiculous email states this will be taken from your deposit card and is non refundable even if the notice is overturned and do not contact the rental office
So in total the rental was an initial 250 pounds, plus 225 because i didn't have a paper utility bill plus 360 administration fees for 2 unpaid bridge tolls which actually were paid. Plus a really upset customer. Totalling 835 pounds for a 1 week hire.
Never ever in a million years will I be using flex to go and hope that people see this and reconsider their choice of rental provider
Stay away from this car rental! Antalya
Stay away from this car rental!
They will ask you for deposit although you have paid insurance.
Deposit od 1000euros.
Misleading and cheating!
Very poor service rude and unhelpful…
Very poor service rude and unhelpful staff
I want to officially complain about the Poor serviced I received from the car hire company .
My flight got delayed which meant I arrived after the office had closed. I did let them know ahead and I landed to a text saying you can get the car after 7 AM the next day as I landed it 2 AM .
I had to get alternative transport my accommodation and again a taxi back to collect the car
when I returned to the airport the following day to collect the car they cancelled my reservation and I've been charged full and didnt income me
I did make them aware. please make sure I get a full refund for this and compensation for all the losses of travelling.
Also the man on duty was very rude an unhelpful
