Our holiday was a major disappointment
Our holiday (to Eleni appartments in SISI in Crete) was a major disappointment, and so was our experience with Eliza Was Here. This was our first time booking with Eliza Was Here, and it will also be our last.
Before booking, we phoned Eliza Was Here specifically to ask whether the two studios were suitable for our family of four. We were told that they were. They were not.
There were numerous problems with the accommodation, including the fact that there was nowhere for the four of us to sit or eat together, either inside or outside, and the two studios booked as the same room type differed considerably in size. There were also many problems with the bathroom: the shower flooded the bathroom every time, the water temperature was impossible to control, and our son was burned by the hot water. There were also problems with the kitchen facilities and other aspects of the studios. The road into the village was dirty and unsafe, with no pavement and rubbish and bins along the roadside.
The hire car, which was part of the same package holiday, was unsafe and could not maintain a safe speed on hills.
What was especially disappointing was how difficult it was to get help from Eliza Was Here during our holiday. We couldn't reach them by phone despite several attempts. Our messages through the Eliza Was Here app were never answered. It took more than 24 hours for our complaint via WhatsApp to reach the "correct" department, and the way it was subsequently handled was completely inadequate.
We booked through Eliza Was Here and had specifically contacted them before booking to check whether the holiday was suitable for our family. Given that experience, and the way our complaint was handled once we were there, we will not book with Eliza Was Here again and are going to lodge a formal complaint.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Villagio Maestro Citrus Retreat in Lefkada, Greece.
A very special thank you goes to the lovely housekeeping lady. She is such a kind, warm, and hardworking person and always has a smile on het face. Whenever we needed something, like an extra towel, we only had to ask, and it was arranged within just a few minutes.
The reception staff were also amazing—always friendly, professional, and ready to help with any questions or requests. We also want to compliment the team responsible for maintaining the private pool.
The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the beautiful island of Lefkada while enjoying a peaceful and relaxing retreat.
Overall, we had an unforgettable holiday and would love to come back again in the future. We highly recommend Villagio Maestro Citrus Retreat to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay in Lefkada.

Fantastic 8Moons Boutique Apartment in Avlakia
We stayed at 8Moons Boutique Apartment in Avlakia from 5 to 12 June 2026, and our experience was exceptional from start to finish. We received a warm and genuine welcome from Giorgia and Cara, who made us feel at home right away.
We stayed in the Cocomat Suite Sea View, beautifully decorated and equipped with a fully functional kitchen. The highlight was the large balcony with an unobstructed view of the Mediterranean Sea. We enjoyed our breakfasts there every morning and relaxed on the sun loungers while soaking up the early sun — simply perfect.
Giorgia and Cara shared excellent recommendations for great restaurants nearby and a lovely beach bar where we watched the sunset. We were also spoiled with thoughtful treats: fresh fruits from the owner’s garden, homemade pastries, and a delicious orange jam made from their own oranges.
The hotel staff provided attentive and caring service throughout our stay. To explore the island comfortably, a car is definitely recommended, and the free parking right in front of the hotel is very convenient.
In summary, a fantastic stay in a very peaceful and beautiful setting, enhanced by warm hospitality and many personal touches. We would gladly return.

Great villa’s and very simpatic owner (Loanna). The 5 villa’s are with a lot of privacy. If you are looking for a place to relax than this is the place to be! Nice view to the sea from your terras and own swimmingpool.

Booked Hotel La Vinuela
Booked Hotel La Vinuela : really top hotel ! No complaints about the rental car. But the parking at Brussels Airport (Quick parking, Vilvoorde), what a dump ! We arrrived there at 4 in the morning. No personnel in sight. We had to search the parking lot to find a bus driver parked somewhere, who didn't look nor talk to us, just made a hand sign to park our car further away. Then we had to wait 30' in his filthy bus before he left for the airport. The parking lot is littered with cans and bottles, almost no light, no personnel, you just feel you are in the 3th world there ...

The accessibility communication is very poor
The accessibility is very poor, unreachable by phone, unreachable by e-mail, a robot via whatsapp and is not governed.
In addition, during the booking it seems as if the yoga classes are included in the price of the booking of a yoga boutique hotel. Other activities, such as massage, are marked "for a fee". Eliza was here is misleading in this and does not solve the problem, while you are there on holiday and it can be solved. Absolutely do not be convinced by advertising material on social media and TV, beware!

And the comment below shows exactly where the company's money is invested: responding immediately to a negative review, not bothering to approach the customer yourself, not by phone, not by e-mail, but just passing on the working hours again and letting the misery happen.
