Many customers reported unauthorized and unexpected charges for subscriptions they did not intend to purchase or found difficult to cancel. People frequently reported significant issues with the app, struggling to get responses when trying to resolve these issues. Conversely, a small portion of people found the app useful for generating meal ideas, simplifying cooking, and creating shopping lists, appreciating its straightforward approach and realistic recipes. However, some customers also noted the app's core meal planning functionality was flawed, with issues like incorrect meal suggestions or plans not reflecting dietary preferences.

Worst customer support ever

Worst customer support ever. There is not even single human on there support team. I got same reply over and over more than 10 times. Freaking hate them. Not recommended at all. If I can give negative stars or review. I will give the worst.

I looked to have a week subscription…

I looked to have a week subscription but this "Eatr" company charged me at first £6.99 plus £49.99 at the very same time on that evening. I had to get in contact with my bank to ask for immediate assistance in which over the space of 12 hours, my bank sent me 2 refunds to do with this company since this "eatr" company charged me again after the bank gave me a refund.
I wouldn't advise anyone to use this company, infact I would say stay well clear of this company....
Very dodgy...

SCAM

My experience has been terrible. The cancellation process doesn't work because there are no buttons to complete it, so I can't cancel my subscription. I've emailed support several times and received no response. To make matters worse, I keep getting notifications that there are attempts to take money from my account. I do not recommend this app in any way SCAM

This app is a scam, do not use.
The subscription process is designed to trick users into a free trial followed by unauthorised rolling subscriptions which can then not be cancelled. The app developer advises to cancel the subscription via your Apple account, but it does not exist as a subscription, it's a payment taken from your bank account. Instead, two duplicate payments with slightly different payment references were taken from my account. There are no contact details available for the app developer other than a gmail account which does not respond.
It's shocking how easy it is for app developers on the App Store to defraud people out of money.

I signed up for the €4.99 trial

I signed up for the €4.99 trial, but less than one week later I was unexpectedly charged €39.99 for an annual subscription that I never intended to purchase.

The subscription process is very misleading, and I am finding it extremely difficult, almost imposible, to cancel. The only way I could find to contact the company was by email, which makes the whole process frustrating and stressful. In my opinion, this feels like a scam. Please read the subscription terms very carefully before starting the trial. I hope I receive my refund.

I would not recommend this app. AT ALL.

I purchased the 7-day trial, but was later charged USD 39.99. I contacted support within about 30 minutes of the charge, requesting a refund.

Instead of investigating my case, I received a generic response stating that Apple handled the payment and that only Apple could issue a refund. However, I have no active Eatr subscription in my Apple ID, no USD 39.99 purchase in my Apple purchase history, and no Apple receipt for this charge.

After following up, I still have not received a meaningful response.

Before downloading this app, read the recent reviews carefully. My experience was very similar to many other users who reported unexpected subscription charges and difficulty getting support.

Easy to use

Easy to use and pretty straightforward. I mainly use it to plan dinners and avoid buying random food I don't end up cooking.
