The app states parcel delivered 3 days…

The app states parcel delivered 3 days ago I have been in contact every day and get told the same thing parcel couldn’t be delivered as it was rejected and was then retried later the same day at which time they state I was at the drop off point and no deliveries were made I then contacted Albox and have been told every time it will be delivered tomorrow yet the app states delivered and I was told yesterday it would be today now after checking again I’m being told it will be delivered tomorrow yet again no real answers even when you tell them it’s always someone else’s fault

Ongoing Problems with GLS Deliveries

Well, it looks like I’m definitely not the only one having problems with GLS!

Every time I’m expecting a delivery from them, I receive a message giving me a delivery time. I change my plans and make sure I’m at home, only to receive another message after the stated delivery time saying that I was “absent” and they were unable to deliver — even though I’ve been there waiting the entire time.

The last time this happened was with a Massimo Dutti order, and it took me almost two months to get it sorted. In the end, I asked for the parcel to be sent to a GLS drop-off point. On three separate occasions I went to collect it and the parcel wasn’t there. After weeks of chasing both the delivery and GLS, I eventually had to give up and was given a refund.

In my experience, GLS are by far the most unreliable courier I’ve dealt with. The most frustrating part is that, as customers, we’re rarely given a choice of courier when placing an order.

Please consider using a different delivery company in future. Experiences like this are incredibly frustrating and unfortunately make me think twice about ordering from companies that use GLS.

Horrendous service

Absolutely appalling service. I paid extra to have my parcel delivered to my home, and instead of doing their job, they sent me a message claiming I wasn't in, then dumped it at a parcel shop. I'm ill and physically unable to leave the house, so there's no way I wasn't home. They clearly never even attempted the delivery or checked whether I was there.

I paid for a premium service and got nothing but lies and excuses. A horrendous, dishonest service that I would not recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately there is no option for 0 stars so I have to choose 1.
Customer service 0, no one responds on the phone. I was waiting for 2 weeks to get one package and was forced to cancel it in the end. They forward you to WhatsApp to chat with bot. No words.

GLS has achieved something remarkable

GLS has achieved something remarkable: they’ve taken a binary business model, pick up a box, move it, hand it to a human, and turned it into an exercise in operational incompetence.

The Phantom Attempt: The driver spends an hour playing real-time GPS bumper cars in my neighborhood, realizes it’s 7:00 PM, decides he’d rather go home, and logs a fraudulent "recipient absent" status.

The Depot Mirage: You request to pick up your own goods at their local depot to rescue them from the chaos. You show up, only to be told they’ve split a single two-parcel order and sent them out with two different drivers, neither of whom the staff can locate or contact.

Zero Accountability: The depot staff’s official resolution? "Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, come back again."

This isn't just poor service; it's a systemic failure of basic supply chain operations.

The takeaway for consumers: Expect delay, false tracking logs, and complete disorganization.

The takeaway for enterprise clients (Samsung who I ordred it from): Customer acquisition cost is brutal. Spending millions to win a customer only to hand the final-mile experience to a carrier that burns your brand equity to save a euro on route optimization is shareholder value destruction. Switch providers.

Horrible

Horrible! Now one week late and still no parcel. Tracking on tells that the parcel is at a GLS location, where. I've had 6 incident reports on 2 deliveries about errors of various kind. I also have a claimed attempt at delivery which is totally wrong. I was home all day and continuously kept track on phone, email and doorbell.

One star is too much but no zero option.
Placed order via MediaMarkt, all other 3 items delivered with prior call and attempt. GLS sent few notifications "not delivered due to missing data". What data, when attempted, no clue. Why we leave comment to help to find the address, phone etc.? Sadly, I cannot select forwarding company while placing an order.

Xenophobia at this GLS location

Even though I showed the agent the email and QR Code, he made it difficult solely on the basis of prejudice. He asked if I spoke the language and, as someone who is a bona-fide resident, but learning, he refused to help me. I insisted and showed him the Email and QR code and he then begrudgingly turned over the package. This is the worst attitude I have run into during the past 2 years in Barcelona. He should be fired.

Like every transport company out there, crap

Like every transport company out there, they are useless and don't deserve to be in business. I had a package allegedly delivered to my business local at 14.24. Bizarre as this local is closed between 14:00 and 17:00. Lying, cheap, low budget courier. The sending company picked them, not me. They like MRW, Nacex, SEUR and CTT are absolute shit and I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. I don't particularly want to use Amazon but at least I'm guaranteed to get a delivery. If every business said the name of the courier company they used before you buy, I wouldn't order anything if they used the above.

The worse shipping company ever

The notorious GLS doesn't even deserve one star as they usually do false delivery attempts where drivers claim no one was home despite the customer being present, forced collection at distant ParcelShops instead of home delivery, unresponsive and careless customer service.
