0 Star – Very disappointing experience with AurumTours
I booked a package holiday through CHECK24, with AurumTours as the tour operator, for 8 people (4 adults and 4 children).
After completing my booking, I received a booking confirmation, and the full amount of €12,795 was charged to my credit card.
Two days later, AurumTours informed me that the holiday had been cancelled because the airline had increased its fares and the confirmed flights were no longer available at the original price.
What I find unacceptable is that my credit card had already been charged. Although AurumTours promised a refund, I was told it could take up to 7 working days. During that time, my credit card limit was tied up, making it impossible for me to book an alternative holiday.
Our holiday was due to start within a few days, and because the refund was delayed, I was left without the financial means to book another trip. This affected two families travelling together, leaving all eight of us without a holiday.
Despite contacting customer service, no comparable alternative holiday or practical solution was offered. The only response I received was that the booking had to be cancelled because of a fare increase.
As a customer, I do not believe I should bear the consequences of pricing or booking issues after receiving a booking confirmation and having the full amount charged to my credit card.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AurumTours.

We had a very good experience with AurumTours. Everything was well organized from the booking until the end of our trip. The airport transfers were punctual and smooth, and all travel documents were provided on time. The hotel was clean, in a beautiful location directly by the sea, and we even received a very fair offer to upgrade to half board during our stay. Overall, we are very satisfied and would happily book with AurumTours again
