I would give 0 stars if I could

I would give 0 stars if I could. Paying for an Accor membership is most definitely not worth the money. Some of the hotels that we have stayed in have been nice and we’ve been upgraded to the next room category. However, you only get the upgrades and earn points on one hotel room. So if you book multiple rooms for the same dates, which we do, no upgrades or benefits apply. This makes it difficult to maintain Gold Status, despite booking many times.

We have had a couple of poor hotels and have tried to contact customer service. On both occasions, we have had no response at all from customer service. This is extremely poor and is the reason why we will not be renewing our membership when it expires. Would not recommend.

Accor points is scam

My wife spent around £4000 for a stay in 5 rooms for 3 nights. However, Accor conveniently only awarded points for 2 nights for one room, so we missed out on points for the rest. They said it was a multiple booking made by the same person. This doesn't happen with IHG or Hilton. We weren't made aware of this policy when making the booking either. I will think twice about using their hotels in the future. Not worth it. 😕

Would have been very easy to save a platinum customer

Customer service had a chance to do something simple and couldn’t or wouldn’t. It would have save a relationship with a customer that has spent tens of thousands. Now I’m just a frustrated former customer.

Points expired today. Problem is they expired based on a European time zone. It’s still the same day in the USA. Earlier today I have my points in my account. I called in about a reservation I wanted to make and the person on the phone didn’t warn me my points were going to expire before I arrived at the hotel.

Then when calling them about my expired points they would only reinstate the points after I had points credited from another stay.

I would have happily bought something online or made a donation prior to the hour my points expired if given the notice about it. But since the hour past when they expired I can’t use them on this stay I’m planning. Very disappointed. Easy problem to fix to save a customer. But no action taken to do so.

Where is the care at ALL customercare.accor.com?

We arrived at our hotel to be told that ALL Accor had deleted the booking. Without telling us. The hotel was fully booked as were most places in town. So we ended up paying nearly $300 for one night in a motel (built in the 1950's) on the highway. More than double the normal rate. Anyway - I asked them why they deleted my booking and nearly 4 and a half months later am still waiting for a response.........

Accor has the worst customer service

Accor has the worst customer service. A faceless company that do not deserve support from members. I am boycotting Accor. They lie and sold me gift vouchers I can not use globally and takes 6 months to respond hoping you will go away. Not good enough Accor!!!!

Writing this for my son and son in law…

Writing this for my son and son in law who stayed at there bournemouth hotel
The staff where friendly .
Hotel facilities where good .
There disabled access was very poor .
Cleaning staff kept leaving great big laundry bins in front of the disabled ramp which is not only a health and safety risk its a fire hazard .
It blocked the main wheelchair access.
Also to my son and son in law disbelief they came back to there room Saturday to find blood all over there bed covers .
Which was not there when.they left .
They where told it was cleaning.staff this is not acceptable.
Also when u book a disabled access room and pay for u dont expect to.be told its not available cause no one put it on the booking even though.
They had prof and there's was meant to be a surperier but they had to have a standard this was there honeymoon .
But they where given a part refund .
But its not the point
The mistake should not have happened in the frist place
Floors 1//2/3 was not accesable without staff help .
Which does not help that they had to go.looking for staff .
Like I said earlier also to get the disabled ramp.unblocked .

I have cancelled my Accor Plus…

I have cancelled my Accor Plus membership after being a loyal member because the service has gone downhill.
One of my biggest frustrations is having two membership cards, yet the Explorer card still can’t be added to Apple Wallet. I first contacted Accor about this in October last year and was told they were “working on it.” Months later, nothing has changed. For a premium membership, this is disappointing.
The membership is expensive, and the benefits are becoming harder to use. You have to stay two paid nights before you can access your complimentary free night, and then some participating hotels add even more restrictions. For example, the Mantra at Nelson Bay requires a minimum three-night stay, making the free night far less valuable.

I’ve also noticed that the cleanliness and overall upkeep of many Accor hotels have deteriorated. It feels like Accor is no longer carrying out adequate quality checks across its properties, and the standards are not what they used to be.
The Accor app is also poor. It’s slow, frustrating to use, and doesn’t provide the seamless experience you would expect from a major hotel group.
After reading reviews from other members, it seems I’m not the only one who feels this way. Many people appear to be cancelling their memberships.
It’s a real shame because Accor Plus used to be an excellent program with genuine value. Unfortunately, I no longer feel it justifies the cost.

No longer worth useing

The hotel chain has really gone downhill compared to the past when I solely used this chain for business. Now I am useing them for holidays we have stayed in Ibis Styles and Mercure. Neither offer good support or facilities. From lack of towels, toilet paper, room facilities such as tea bags or coffee or even kettles. Such a shame compared to what they used to be.

Low level of service

As a guest who stays with your hotel chain approximately 12 times a year, I am genuinely disappointed by the lack of recognition and appreciation for my loyalty. Rather than feeling valued, I often feel like just another guest, with no preferential treatment or meaningful acknowledgment of my continued business.

In contrast, other hotel loyalty programs consistently make me feel appreciated through personalized service and member benefits, which makes a significant difference to the overall guest experience.

I had expected your loyalty program to offer a similar level of recognition and value. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite the opposite, and I hope you will consider improving the way loyal guests are acknowledged and rewarded.

Gold status through Amex - complete waste of time

Was invited to Gold status through Amex Platinum so applied and it said "unsuccessful". Same happened repeatedly. Amex could not understand why so directed me to ACCOR who (unbelievably) said they did not know why and would resolve and email me which of course they did not do. Contacted them again and exactly the same, except after 35 minutes they said my account is locked and would investigate and email me soon. Absolute waste of time having customer services if they do nothing.

Worthless and literally pointless

Joined the scheme after approving a booking. Paid €7500 and was told no points would be paid due to a technicality.

Would avoid like the plague. Much better hotel loyalty schemes exist. This one is useless with woeful customer service.

Went for a job with Accor

Went to go for a job with Accor. Got through two interviews and then they told me they’d contact me and let me know. Never heard from them. Completely took advantage of my time and energy and couldn’t return the courtesy. Thumbs down.

Would Not Stay Here Again

Would Not Stay Here Again

We booked this apartment specifically because it was advertised as a two-bedroom unit. Unfortunately, one of the bedrooms was completely unusable due to an overwhelming sewage smell. The odor was so bad that nobody could sleep in the room, and because there were no windows that could be opened, there was no way to air it out. The hotel's solution was simply to provide room spray.

As a result, my children and I had to sleep on the sofa bed for the entire stay, despite paying for a two-bedroom apartment.
The problems didn't stop there. The refrigerator did not close properly and took several days to be repaired. Since our stay was only four nights, it was essentially unusable for most of our trip.
We were also surprised to learn that additional towels and blankets could come with extra charges. There were not enough towels or blankets provided for our group, and getting additional items felt unnecessarily difficult.
For the amount we paid, I expected clean, functional accommodations and basic amenities that worked properly. Instead, we dealt with an unusable bedroom, a strong sewage odor, a broken refrigerator, and extra charges for basic necessities.
The location was convenient but the condition of the apartment significantly impacted our stay. Future guests should be aware that the accommodations may not match what is advertised, especially if you are counting on using all of the bedrooms.

Accor’s guaranteed lowest price policy…

Accor’s guaranteed lowest price policy is extremely disappointing.

What is presented as a simple and easy price guarantee comes with far too many exclusions and conditions. In my experience, the policy has so many strings attached that it becomes very difficult for customers to actually benefit from it.

I submitted a claim expecting Accor to honour its guarantee, but the process was frustrating. Customer service kept passing me around, and after all that, I was eventually told that my claim was not eligible.

A price guarantee should be clear, fair, and honoured in good faith. Unfortunately, my experience made the policy feel misleading and not customer-friendly.
