Seller payout blocked for weeks after DHL confirmed delivery — only reply is “under review”
Catawiki held my seller payout on lot 105476635 (Villeroy & Boch – La Boule Memphis cutlery set) long after the parcel was delivered.
DHL delivered the item to the buyer’s address. I sent Catawiki:
the DHL shipping label
DHL’s official proof of delivery
the delivery record checked on DHL’s site with the buyer’s postcode
That is carrier confirmation of delivery. The buyer did not file a evidenced lost-parcel claim. “Buyer is on vacation” is not proof the parcel vanished.
Catawiki’s first move was a 3-day ultimatum: send official POD or they would cancel the sale as “lost in delivery”. I sent the POD. Then the story changed. After that it was only:
“escalated to a specialised team”
“automated security flag”
“awaiting a response from the relevant department”
“no need to rush”
From mid-August to now, same loop. No answer to basic questions:
what document is still missing
which line of the DHL POD is “not enough”
what evidence contradicts DHL
which exact clause allows an indefinite hold after confirmed delivery
Their own help pages say payout becomes ready after delivery if no issue is reported. Buyer silence after delivery is not non-delivery. An internal ticket is not non-delivery. A security flag is not non-delivery.
This is not support. This is stalling while seller funds sit in escrow. If you sell on Catawiki, keep every tracking screenshot. When they demand POD, send it once, then demand a written decision with a deadline. Do not accept “we forwarded it” as an answer.
Release the payout for lot 105476635 immediately. I already did my part as seller. DHL already confirmed delivery. Stop hiding behind “investigation” and pay what is owed.
Good offers and Organisation

Catawiki - a big disappointment
Buyer protection on Catawiki is a complete sham.
I bought an Omega cal. 1445 watch, with an accuracy of 10 seconds per year claimed by Omega. The watch loses more than 7 minutes in 48 hours. A visit to the service center revealed further fraud by the seller, who presented the watch as in perfect condition. I sent Catawiki photos of rust inside the watch, indicating water damage, and photos of a poorly installed, non-factory glass. I reported all of this to Catawiki and initiated the refund process. However, Catawiki did not consider my explanations sufficient. When I offered to send them a review from an authorized Omega service center, they did not respond, considering the matter closed.
Official Statement / Complaint…Catawiki Protects Fraud: Fake Expert Valuation & Intimidation (Order 47626290
Official Statement / Complaint regarding Order No: 47626290Subject: Consumer Fraud, Deceptive Expert Valuation, and Intimidation by Catawiki Customer SupportStatement of Facts:I purchased a 4.44 ct Tsavorite gemstone on the Catawiki platform through a "no reserve price" auction. The lot included an official expert valuation estimating the stone’s value between €6,300 and €8,300. I paid a total of €397.08 (including all fees and shipping costs). The item was duly delivered.Upon delivery, the real drama began. I took the gemstone to two renowned, high-end jewelry stores in Lyon, France for professional inspection. To maintain the integrity of the item, the jewelers did not open the sealed blister pack; they performed the inspection strictly through the protective packaging to avoid any damage. Both independent experts came to the exact same conclusion: "This stone is garbage; it is completely dead and is not worth even a single Euro."Following this expert feedback, I immediately filed an official dispute through the Catawiki platform. Their compliance team responded via email, refusing the refund and claiming that "everything was visible in the auction photos." Furthermore, Catawiki went so far as to issue direct, aggressive threats in their email correspondence, explicitly warning me about what actions they would take against me if I initiated a credit card chargeback through my bank.I emphasize that the protective blister pack has NOT been opened or tampered with. Despite this, Catawiki refuses to issue a refund and is actively protecting criminal, fraudulent behavior by the seller. This is the true, deceptive face of the Catawiki platform.Buyer Information:Full Name: Admir MujkanovićOrder Number: 47626290Item: Natural Tsavorite 4.44 ct (Estimated €6,300 - €8,300)Current Status: Blister pack completely sealed and intact.

RELEASE MY PAYOUTS NOW
Catawiki, enough is enough.
You previously told me that my payouts could be reviewed once my outstanding orders were fulfilled. All of my outstanding orders have now been fulfilled. I also provided my valid proof of identity to Catawiki on 27 August.
Yet I am still being told that my case is “under investigation” with no clear explanation and no payment.
I have fully cooperated with Catawiki and completed everything you requested. You cannot keep delaying my money indefinitely while repeatedly sending generic responses.
I am demanding the immediate release of all outstanding payouts owed to me.
I have kept the complete record of this case, including Catawiki’s previous statements and all correspondence. If Catawiki continues to withhold my funds without providing a clear and legally justified reason, I will escalate the matter through the appropriate complaint, regulatory and legal channels.
Catawiki: release my money. No more delays.

FINAL UPDATE — I Am No Longer Asking for My Account to Be Restored. RELEASE MY PAYMENT.
Catawiki, stop avoiding the actual issue.
I am NOT asking you to restore my account. I am NOT asking to continue selling. I am asking for ONE thing: RELEASE THE PAYMENT OWED TO ME FOR MY COMPLETED SALE.
I was already a verified seller when this transaction took place. Catawiki accepted my information, approved my account, accepted the lot, allowed the sale to proceed, and I fulfilled my obligations. Now, nearly two months later, Catawiki is suddenly claiming that my account is connected to a previously blocked account and that I was involved in “repetitive abusive behaviour of dropshipping”.
I made ONE sale. ONE.
So where is the evidence of “repetitive” dropshipping? Where is the specific transaction? Where is the specific rule I allegedly violated?
I have also already provided the required information during the verification process. Catawiki cannot simply use vague allegations and an internal “safety system” as a reason to keep my money indefinitely.
Your latest response says that my payment can only be released after further documentation is provided. Then give me the exact contractual and legal basis for withholding my payment from this completed transaction.
I have waited long enough. I have repeatedly contacted Catawiki. The explanations have changed, but my money is still being withheld.
I am no longer interested in account restoration. I only want the money that is owed to me.
Catawiki must now take this seriously and resolve the payment issue without further delay. If you continue refusing to release the funds without providing a specific and legally justified basis, I will preserve the complete record and pursue the appropriate EU and Dutch complaint, regulatory, dispute-resolution and legal channels.
RELEASE MY PAYMENT.
That is the only issue I am asking Catawiki to resolve.

I am extremely disappointed and angry…atawiki is withholding my money even after orders were delivered
I am extremely disappointed and angry with Catawiki's handling of my seller account, especially regarding my outstanding payments.
My seller account has been suspended, but this does not change the fact that many of my orders have been successfully delivered to buyers. Buyers have received the goods, I have fulfilled my obligations as a seller, and these transactions are complete. However, Catawiki is still withholding my payments.
This is completely unacceptable and extremely frustrating. I understand that Catawiki may need to review or restrict accounts in certain situations, but I cannot understand why payments for completed and delivered orders are being withheld without a clear explanation or a definite payment date.
These are not pending orders. The goods have been shipped and delivered, and buyers have received their purchases. These payments are due for completed transactions.
I contacted Catawiki because I want a clear answer: when will I receive payment for my shipped orders? If there is indeed any legitimate reason why payments cannot be made, Catawiki should clearly explain the reasons, the specific circumstances of the withholding, and provide a specific payment date.
Most frustrating is the lack of transparency. As a seller, I invested time, money, and effort in completing these orders. Now the buyers have received their goods, but I'm still anxiously awaiting payment.
Catawiki, please stop withholding my payments without cause and promptly release all outstanding payments for shipped orders. I hope Catawiki will review this matter as soon as possible and release the payments for my completed transactions.
I sincerely hope Catawiki will take my complaint seriously and resolve the payment issue immediately. No seller should repeatedly pursue payments for successfully completed and delivered orders from the platform.

There are watches which are being sold…
There are watches which are being sold for high amounts to people who probably aren't aware that they have replaced or fake parts in the watch. Those people like me don't realize it till you get it serviced from a registered service center and are informed that half of the watch has fake replacement parts. You have 3 days after delivery to check the product and after the 3 days, your complaint is rejected by catawiki. No return or refund in spite of receiving an object which isn'toriginal. The information provided is summier and not enough tocheckeverythingbefore bidding or in the 3 days after receiving(no serial number or info about the last service. Its impossible to check (in case of an expensive watch) that everything is as stated by the seller. I have understood now why the fervent watch collectors stay away from catawiki and ask their friends to do the same. I wish I had listened.
Fake product and customer service declined.
Ordered a pair of Rolex binoculars that turned out to be fake. When I contacted customer service, they declined it straight away, even though the pictures I send was a pair of gold binoculars and not silver/stainless steel as I ordered.
So I didn’t get what I ordered and the product was fake.
Unprofessional service!

I bought a "Tsavorite 4.44 ct" for…
Dear Support Team,Thank you for your message. However, the legal interpretation provided is incorrect. The EU Right of Withdrawal exemption for sealed goods applies strictly to items that cannot be returned due to health protection or hygiene reasons, or sealed software/media. A gemstone does not fall under these categories.Furthermore, the plastic blister has NOT been opened or tampered with. The item is in its original, sealed condition, exactly as delivered. Since I am within my legal 14-day window and the item does not match the listing description, I have full legal right to a return and a total refund. Please provide the return instructions immediately. If this claim is rejected further, I will be forced to escalate this case to the European Consumer Centre (ECC) and initiate a chargeback dispute through my payment provider.Kind regards,

Participating in a bidding for an item…
Participating in a bidding for an item that will bring me joy if I win it is a great thrill.
I trust in the professionalism of your experts because they have earned my trust.
The only thing I don't like is that if I win auctions from the same seller on two consecutive days, I can't pay for combined shipping.
A lot is paid for shipping.
And the differences in prices from the same country are big.
At the start I didint trust it at all…
At the start I didint trust it at all but after my first purchase arrived I 100 percent recommend, the quality was high and the shipping was fast , and the the veriety of auctions is very attractive
Careful - hidden fees
Careful! You will have to pay VAT twice: once to Catawiki and the other time when the goods are imported. Catawiki will do nothing when you raise the issue.
Take the double payment into account when bidding.
