Review of Amazon

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Swedish Amazon is a disaster.

I used Amazon in The Netherlands before, with no issues. Swedish one? Complete disaster! The shipping times: ridiculous.
The packaging: inadequate. Either not suitable for product so the product gets damaged or too big, so things are loose inside of it.
My recent purchase: cat snacks, whisk and 2 plastic pot saucers are coming in 3 different packages.
The saucers are split into two separate packages, one already came, damaged! Another one coming in next week!
It’s not even funny anymore, rather pathetic.
I’m gonna avoid it in the future as much as possible!

Customer support or AI response?

Clearly people working at customer support should put some more effort into proper response. They don’t seem to know the products they are selling, the answers are short and lame, you need to follow up with question as they are not proactive with assisting at all.
I asked about whisk for my milk frother (I provided the model number)… the answer was: „ Dear customer, could you be more specific about the spare part you need please?”
It feels like I’m talking to AI, not a human.
Eventually I found out via exchange of email (back and forward) that whisk will be available again in Europe in two weeks! lol. And yes, I can order it from them! (Exchange of emails again).
I just checked, 3 weeks passed, no whisk for the model I asked for.
Well….
I expected better from this company. This experience will affect my future choices for sure. Don’t want to deal with them anymore.

Review of Simyo

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Warning: check your iPhone’s model number!

I’m a very new client. I already have one positive and one negative experience and I’m writing this review to warn anyone considering eSIM.
I wanted to transfer my old number from Odido to Simyo and switch to eSIM. Since I’m abroad at the moment I got in touch with Simyo via WhatsApp.
I got a reply pretty fast and I was told everything about the procedure and basically assured that it’s totally possible.
So I started the process. My number was transferred after few days but I was not able to install the eSIM. I contacted Simyo again via WhatsApp providing the screenshot of the errors I’m getting.
And now the fun part…(not funny for me though): even though my iPhone supports eSIM I can not use it because my model number is not matching the approved model numbers! Only model numbers with last characters DN, ND, ZD, or NL are approved.
So if you have a iPhone purchased anywhere else than NL region you are out of luck installing the eSIM.
This is purely Simyo’s decision not iPhone limitation.
And fair enough, if that’s how they want to do their business, so be it.
But I was not informed about it or never suspected that this kind of limitation even can exist. No one in the chat mentioned it.
And guess what? If I knew in advance, I wouldn’t transfer my number.
Now, I have no access to my Dutch number, no eSIM, and no possibility to revert the process.
I was offered physical SIM as an option.
But since I’m abroad it won’t reach me easily, I have to use my friend’s address in NL to forward me the card.
So all of you travelling and living abroad, check your iPhone’s model number before purchasing eSIM.
You might be out of luck!
I’m giving 2 stars in this review because the customer service was easy to reach.
The story will be continued after my SIM (physical SIM!) arrives.

Reply from Simyo

Hi Monika,

Thank you for sharing your experience, even though we're sorry to hear it’s been a very frustrating one. We truly appreciate the detailed feedback.

We completely understand how inconvenient it must be to be left without access to your Dutch number, especially while abroad. You're absolutely right: while your iPhone supports eSIM, certain regional models are currently not compatible with Simyo’s eSIM service due to technical limitations on our side, not Apple’s. This restriction is indeed based on the model number suffix, and we sincerely apologize that this was not clearly communicated to you upfront.

Your point is absolutely valid, we should have informed you about this earlier during your chat with our customer service team, and we’re reviewing this internally to prevent similar issues in the future.

We’re glad to hear our team was responsive and that you're now expecting a physical SIM card. While it's not the ideal solution for someone abroad, we hope it will at least get you connected again soon.

Thanks again for the honest review. We learn from feedback like yours, and we’re truly sorry this was your first impression with us. If there’s anything further we can do to support you in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Kind regards,
Simyo Webcare

Vinted is allowing stolen devices, not willing to help!!

EDIT: I had to remove my original review and change the rating to 1 star.
Vinted is protecting the buyer selling damaged iCloud locked and probably stolen iPhone.
According to them I accepted the order, which of course I didn’t.
They claim there is nothing they can do.
I’m forced to get police involved as now I’m stuck with damaged and maybe stolen item that I didn’t accept as it’s not as described by the seller.
The customer service is of course not willing to take it further.
They don’t care.
I will not let it go though.
So be careful on Vinted, other platforms are more serious about buyers protection!!

Good and bad

Good and bad: it’s my experience with Tradera.

The good:
- lots of advertisements
- lots of categories
- easy to get connected with customer service (if needed) and always the issue is resolved instantly
- reasonable shipping prices (but the competition is cheaper!)
- the auto fill function works mostly
- buyers protection is also reasonable if you buy more expensive items. It’s worth paying as the scamming is massive.

The bad:
- to continue from previous point…: a lot of scammers on the site, posting items that are never shipped, selling multiple items being a copy of previously sold item just to fool as much people as possible before they are discovered.
- there is a report button to rise the flag about specific listening but it takes long time before the fraud is detected. There is also no feedback after the report so at some point I stopped carrying . And I see scammers every time I’m on the site.
- there is no way that one user can warn other user about the particular seller, so the scammer has plenty of time to cheat.
- if you get scammed the reporting and waiting for case to be resolved (hopefully in your favor) takes enormous amount of time: 10 working days!! It’s an unnecessary long waiting and many times it’s stressful.
And if you didn’t pay the buyers protection fee you are on your own. Accept the loss.

So do I recommend it?
Still yes, but proceed with caution: if you are buying electronics, other expensive ones, always pay for buyers protection, check user’s rating, don’t buy from new account with zero reviews. If it’s cheap, it’s probably a scam.

As for the app: please fix the glitches.
The pictures are uploading slowly, rotation editing tool is ridiculous. The screen scrolls down while you are on the description field so you can’t see what you type… small little annoying things.

No network, no help!!! Not good option for eSIM

UPDATE: Since buying 3 months plan, I have no network. I didn't change anything in my setting or phone or location or whatsoever, I wrote an email to customer service on 14th of august, apart from automated response saying we will get back to you, I didn't get any help.
I can't call as my network is gone. It's been as for today 10 days since my email. In total I'm without the network more that two weeks. No response from anyone.
Therefore I'm not recommending it to anyone anymore.
It's time to find another option.

My experience is only with eSIM.
the process of getting an eSIM is quite easy but... if you switch to other phone it's a nightmare.
To transfer the eSIM from one device to another while keeping the number will easily take you a week of work.
You will need to get another physical SIM and put money on it!! They don't mention it on their website!
They tell you to call customer service instead. That's for reason: if you know how painful the process is, you would never choose Lyca in first place.
So at some point you will need to call them (their dial menu is another nightmare to go through, it takes a miracle to get connected to actual person).
You will have to ask to get your new eSIM number (from the SIM card that yo are forced to buy) to be replaced with the one you already have and want to keep.
The process is too complicated and too long!
So if you are planning to stay forever with one device you don't need to worry about it, but if you change the devices every one and then, then look for other options, this is too much.
To summarize, the GSM network and internet mostly works ok, the coverage is acceptable, not great, but acceptable, the packages and prices are ok, but the eSIM transfer is terrible.
Until it's easier I will not recommended it.
And btw since you operate in Sweden I expect to have Swish as an option of payment. I will not use my card information on your website.
It doesn't feel safe and I don't want to deal with customer service again.

UPDATE:
Lyca is sending me request to share details with them, I don’t understand why. If something I said is untrue, you can address it in your response below.

Please understand that you have such a potential to be the best option for subscription free model. You probably have the best prices for prepaid sim.
The network seem to be working in most places, which is already quite an achievement in country like Sweden. I also used your network abroad in several countries and everything works smoothly.
But the devil is in the details!
Make the possibility of transfer to new phone more user friendly, something that can be done without calling you customer service. It should be fast and efficient. (Speaking about eSIM transfer).
And fix your dial up menu, as it’s difficult ti navigate if you don’t give language option in the beginning of connection. It’s so weird process to get connected to actual person. It took me some time to figure out combination of numbers I need to press to get connected. And for the assistance with transferring eSIM to new device the actual person on the other side is necessary.
The email response is taking too long.
These are the times we live in: everything needs to be accessible fast.
Don’t waste your potential!
At the end I’m still pretty happy customer but I can’t recommend you for eSIM. Sadly.
I have a new phone I want to switch to and I’m terrified even thinking about starting the process of eSIM transfer.
Please make it work better.
I really wish you luck!

Great products and great customer…

Great products and great customer service!
We have three Sure Petcare products, initially I had trouble setting up the hub, the customer service solved it fast and permanently.
I also lost battery cover for one of the products, I got new set free of charge sent to me from UK.
I'm an extremely happy customer. The products are great and now I know that in case of issues, there is always someone there willing to help.
Thank you so much!!!! 6 stars from me.

Best in Nyköping.

The best phone/tablet service point in the town.
The staff is so friendly and patient. Always helpful.
And they know what they are doing there, not like some other service points out there.
The service is fast and reliable.
Definitely worth few minutes of my time writing this review!

Review of Blocket

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Trading site from early 90s....

This must be one of the most ridiculously outdated service and app out there.
It's like the early days of the internet.
Here is the "ridiculous" list:
- you can upload only 6 photos, you can't even get more even if you are willing to pay, no such option available.
- the uploading process is slow and if you switch to other task on other app, the progress (or lack of it) is lost
- the errors occur during uploading your pictures
- no basic editing tools are available, can't even crop or rotate the photo, so you better do some editing before
- the category you should place your ad under is a random guess, no suggestions from the app. But if you place it under wrong category, the ad gets rejected with no guidance what you should do better next time
- if you manage to successfully post an ad it will be there for a while ( a month if I remember correctly), then you get notification that time is up and you ad is removed. You can't repost it again, there is no template from the old one. You need to start all over again, so make sure you have old pictures still on your phone. lol.
- if you saved some ads for later by marking them with the heart, removing them one by one will result with error
- the bids, price proposals are not binding so forget you can find any good deal. Even if you pressed "buy now"and pay immediately, the seller can simply reject the transaction later and send the payment back if he gets better price via private message. Ridiculous!
You can't even leave the review if that happens!
- there is no push to secure the transactions via site, so it happens that seller brags about shipping or money arriving so long and tries to get the deal done in other form of payment. If you don't agree to pay differently, he can just abort the transaction. Don't try to bring this issue up to the customer service, you will be proven wrong.
- speaking about customer service... it's almost non existing. No phone number, you can email them and wait several days hoping they will respond, so if you have issue that requires quick action... forget about it!
- search option by the location doesn't include radius, so you can only pick up province, or city. That's such a basic feature, its 2024... come on...
- the site doesn't seem to be moderated, you can easily post ads with stolen property and there is no way for other users to mark suspicious ads immediately for quick revision.

These are the issues just from the top of my head.
Fortunately there are other places to trade in more civilized way.
Blocket is nearly dead. It deserves it, people maintaining it or developing ("under developing") are clearly doing nothing. They are stuck in the early years of internet.
You guys need serious change to be relevant again. Otherwise it's a relict from the past.
PS. Automatic translation is not an option in 2024, it's a standard.

The shipping was taking ages!

The shipping was taking ages!!
More than 24h to just see the package move 15 km while in Denmark. Ridiculous.
Not sure how it was handled but the package was barely holding.
If possible I will choose any other shipper.

Hi,

Thank you for the review.

We are sorry that the delivery took longer than expected.
The delivery time depends on when the sender ships the parcel and when it arrives at our terminal. It is also pending on where you live and how often we distribute the area,

We look forward to having the opportunity to give you a better experience next time.

Have a nice day

Great and friendly service.

It’s the second time I’m in touch with the company.
First: was able to order internet before moving to Sweden, everything was working when we arrived.
Second: I recently ordered new service with different speed. The internet was working already 20 minutes after the phone call even though I was said it will be 1 to 3 days.
Customer service is very friendly and professional. I was able to leave my number in chat and got call back, so no waiting in line.
I’m very happy with everything so far.
