⭐ 1/5 – I WILL NEVER USE IQ DOCTOR AGAIN
I rarely leave reviews like this, but my experience with IQ Doctor has been absolutely appalling.
My biggest issue isn’t even that something went wrong. Things go wrong with companies. It’s how a company treats its customer when something DOES go wrong that tells you what they’re really like.
In my experience, IQ Doctor was extremely difficult to communicate with when I actually needed their help.
I ordered temperature-sensitive prescription medication costing £235.98. After chasing regarding my order, I suddenly received notification that it had been dispatched, leaving me virtually no opportunity to make arrangements to be home. Not everybody works from home or can suddenly take time off.
Knowing it was an exceptionally hot day, I specifically used the courier’s system to request that the parcel be left at the BACK of my house IN THE SHADE.
That instruction wasn’t followed.
Instead, my medication was left outside at the front of my house, exposed to direct sunlight on a day when temperatures were around 35°C. I was at work, so it remained there for hours.
Understandably, I was extremely concerned about using temperature-sensitive medication that had been sitting in those conditions.
This is where my experience became completely unacceptable.
I contacted IQ Doctor. Then I chased them again. And again. And again.
Their Patient Care Team Manager has since acknowledged in writing that I followed up on 14, 18, 21 and 24 August without receiving a further substantive response. He described what happened as “not acceptable”, said my emails should have been picked up and weren’t, and acknowledged that the failures were theirs.
Yet despite admitting those communication failures, IQ Doctor has refused to refund my £235.98.
I disposed of medication that I genuinely believed could have been compromised. IQ Doctor now relies on the fact that I no longer have it available for assessment as one of the reasons for refusing my refund.
That’s incredibly frustrating when I was repeatedly trying to get help from THEM while I still had the problem.
They have now offered me £50 CREDIT towards another IQ Doctor purchase.
I have refused it.
Why would I want credit that requires me to spend more money with a company I no longer trust?
What has disappointed me most throughout this whole experience is the attitude towards customer service. I never expected a company to automatically agree with everything I said. I expected someone to listen, communicate properly, take ownership when things went wrong and work towards a fair solution.
Instead, I felt like I had to fight to get responses at every stage.
Their final response even states that they now consider my complaint closed and will not enter into further correspondence unless new information comes to light.
So apparently they can acknowledge serious failures in how they dealt with me, refuse the refund, offer me credit to spend more money with them, declare the complaint closed and move on.
I can’t.
I’m £235.98 out of pocket with no medication.
The whole experience has left me feeling that retaining my money mattered considerably more than retaining me as a customer or properly resolving what happened.
I will now be escalating my complaint externally and providing the complete email trail, including IQ Doctor’s own written acknowledgements about how badly the communication was handled.
For balance, I can see that plenty of people have had good experiences with IQ Doctor. I can only review MY experience.
And my experience is that when everything goes smoothly, you may never discover what their customer support is really like.
It’s when something goes wrong that customer service actually matters.
Unfortunately, that’s exactly when I found IQ Doctor incredibly difficult to deal with.
I will never use them again.
