I previously reviewed Gardening Gifts having bought one of the glass bowls on a root for our home and then another for relatives as a housewarming gift. Really pleased with them. Unfortunately, however, our bowl recently developed a crack which grew over a few days. I contacted the company with a photo and they responded very quickly offering a replacement which arrived today. Cannot fault either quality or the excellent service. Thank you Lowa.

Porthole Cottage is in a quiet location close to the harbour and the beach. Well fitted out, very roomy and comfortable.

Sadly, I had occasion to have my car repaired after a minor accident. Solus was appointed by my insurer, Aviva, and the whole process was slick and professional. I was kept informed throughout the process and they went above and beyond to ensure I had my car back on time to go on holiday, despite a parts issue.

Placed an order a few days ago and was advised it had been despatched using Royal Mail 24 tracked. It took 3 days, but it has arrived and is exactly as wanted. Can’t really complain at delay given circumstances, but have knocked one star off. However, thanks to the company and the Royal Mail.

A pressure-free visit to the Straiton shop and we chose our purchase and was given a delivery date of 19 October. Nice surprise to be told last week that we could have it delivered today (2 October). Delivered on time (slightly early, in fact) and set up within minutes and reminded how the reclining mechanism works by a very helpful Jamie. Delighted with our experience.

I needed replacement shafts for a sledgehammer and a garden fork. Found both on the easy-to-use TW Wholesale website and at very reasonable prices too. Ordering was simple and they were despatched almost instantly. Delivery was to a Scottish Highland address but unlike some, there was no added delivery surcharge. Last month I bought two Barum tyres and reviewed my transaction noting that there was a £12 price difference between what I paid through Tyre Shopper and what National Tyres would have charged me direct. Tyre Shopper responded saying this was unusual, and then quickly credited me with the full difference. Although I still think it should not have happened, I have to say well done for putting it right without a quibble!
