Support staff at Free agent are great. Unfortunately RBS does not provide the back up to connect bank with software

Even though my app was a Barclays-branded alternative, the Free-Agent team were able to get me up and running again, quickly and without drama

Call options were simple.
Agent responded quickly.
Agent was very knowledgeable and solved our problem quickly.

Firstly, I want to give more stars
The issues for me are the search and amendments for contacts. Imports from my Google pixel 8 pro is ridiculous... instead of importing all the contact information name address email mobile etc etc it just imports X1 line ... awful

Then when you search for a contact it doesn't list it even with 3 or more characters sometimes...so frustrating

Once I got a handle on the exceptions i.e how to categorise payment/ bank transactions etc it works quite well ...some things are excellent some things are counter intuitive. I moved from QuickBooks which seemed to have more features but was awful in itself. I don't regret the move but things do need improving

It resolved the issue.
Although one of your webinairs, is narrated by a Scottish female, whom I couldn't understand as her accent was too thick.

FreeAgent is nice. Got a FreeAgent account for free through a Natwest business bank account. It is the best accounting software for small businesses (simple, provides automation / direct integration with the bank account and even completely free if you get it through a Natwest or Mettle business bank account)

It is not an intuitive dashboard in my opinion and there are many unanswered questions even after the webinars. Human beings required as support please

Wow totally new setup than I was used to, it did take a bit of time to get the hang of it and try and work through the vast amount of different pages and sub menus but fingers crossed I'm getting there (hopefully) the more you use it the better it will get that's what I keep telling myself anyway

I am self-employed and started using FreeAgent at the beginning of this tax year. It is early in the year but so far I have found the application to be very user-friendly. The only suggestion I have at this point is that it would significantly enhance FreeAgent’s usability if pre-calculated Capital Gains could be reported directly within the Final Declaration—similar to how this was handled via the SA108 form before MTD (ITSA). So I m hoping for this functionality to be implemented soon.
