Abstract
본 발명은 3차원(3D) 입체영상표시장치에 관한 것으로써 특히 광가교성 액정필름으로 구성되는 패턴드리타더를 이용하는 편광 분할 방식의 안경식 (stereoscopic) 3차원 입체영상표시장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명은 패턴드리타더 제조에 사용되는 기재로써 기존의 유리 대신 다양한 유기 고분자 필름을 사용하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 유기 고분자 필름은 무기질의 유리에 비하여 매우 저렴하고 보다 얇고 가벼우면서 입체영상표시장치 제조의 공정성이 우수하다는 단순 장점들뿐만 아니라, 유기 고분자 필름에 자외선 차단기능을 부여하여 패턴드리타더의 장기 신뢰성을 높일 수 있으며, 필름의 고유굴절률, 또는 복굴절 등 다양한 광학특성을 활용하여 명암대조비 (contrast, C/R), 휘도 등이 향상되고 3차원 입체실감도가 개선된 3차원 입체영상표시장치를 구현할 수 있다.
