Abstract
アルコキシシランの縮重合体と水と触媒と有機溶媒とを含む混合液を粘性ゾル化させて、あるいは、アルコキシシランと水と触媒と有機溶媒とを含む混合液を、20°C以上で反応する場合は、20°C換算で相対湿度60%以上、20°C未満で反応する場合は、その反応温度の相対湿度の60%以上の雰囲気下で縮合重合させて、シリカ繊維製造用のゾル状紡糸液の製造することにより、製造するのに時間がかからず、しかも、紡糸可能な時間が長くなる。更に、このようにして得られるゾル状紡糸液を静電噴霧法により紡糸化することにより、簡単に且つ短時間にシリカ繊維を製造することができ、また、機械的強度に優れたシリカ繊維を製造することができる。
