Abstract

Un proceso para elaborar un material compuesto híbrido orgánico/inorgánico a base de fluoropolimero que comprende: (i) hidrolizar y/o policondensar parcialmente, en presencia de un medio acuoso, un compuesto de metal de fórmula (I) X4 -mAYm donde X es un grupo hidrocarburo, Y es un grupo hidrolizable que se selecciona entre el grupo que consiste en un grupo alcoxi, un grupo aciloxi y un grupo hidroxilo, A es un metal que se selecciona entre el grupo que consiste en Si, Ti y Zr, y m es un número entero entre 1 y 4, de manera tal de obtener un medio acuoso que comprende un compuesto de metal pregelatinizado que comprende uno o más dominios inorgánicos que consisten en uniones =A-O-A= y uno omás grupos hidrolizables residuales Y [compuesto (M)], y luego (ii) hacer reaccionar en el estado fundido por lo menos una fracción de grupos hidroxilo de un fluoropolímero funcional [polímero (F)] con por lo menos una fracción de grupos hidrolizables Y de dicho compuesto de metal pregelatinizado [compuesto (M)], de manera tal de obtener un material compuesto híbrido orgánico/inorgánico a base de fluoropolímero. También, los usos de dicho material compuesto híbrido orgánico/inorgánico a base de fluoropolímero en varias aplicaciones.
