Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé de solidification et de stabilisation d'une solution aqueuse d'hydroxyde de sodium concentrée, caractérisé en ce qu'on réalise les étapes suivantes : a) on mélange avec ladite solution d'hydroxyde de sodium, un liant hydraulique contenant du laitier de haut fourneau, en présence d'au moins une source supplémentaire d'ions calcium et/ou d'ions magnésium et/ou de silice, pour former un coulis, b) on laisse le coulis prendre en masse pour obtenir un produit solide. L'invention a également pour objet le produit solide obtenu par mise en œuvre du procédé de l'invention. L'invention peut être appliquée au traitement de solutions d'hydroxyde de sodium radioactives ou contaminées par d'autres polluants.
