Definitions

  • the invention relates to a press for pressing out liquid-containing substances, in particular agricultural and chemical products, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such presses are known, for example, from EP 0 145 948 B1, and are used to squeeze the grape juice used as the starting material for wine production out of grapes filled into the press.
  • the press described in EP 0 145 948 B1 has a closed container which can be set in rotation about its horizontal longitudinal axis.
  • a filling and emptying opening which is opposite a juice drain provided on the opposite side of the container and which can be closed by a lid.
  • drainage elements are provided in the form of liquid-permeable pipes, which are located in a press chamber, which is defined by a pressurized membrane, which is fixed inside the container and divides the container interior into a pressure medium chamber and the press chamber.
  • PCT / EP 01/03962 which has not been published beforehand, describes a press which comprises a closed container which can be rotated about its horizontal longitudinal axis, the container interior being subdivided into a pressure medium space and a pressure medium space by at least one press membrane, and one in the container jacket a lid-closable fill and drain opening is arranged.
  • the filling and emptying opening is opposite a juice drain located in the press room.

In the juicing position, the drainage elements extend in a substantially vertical direction in order to feed the juice into a juice collecting nozzle located below, from where it is fed to a collecting container via a collecting line.
  • the parts that come into contact with the material to be pressed during the pressing in particular the drainage elements, can be easily dismantled for cleaning purposes and, once again, can be installed inside the container after the cleaning process. It is of particular importance here that the dismantling and cleaning of the drainage elements and the interior of the container can be carried out from the outside, since getting into the container involves a not inconsiderable risk or is even prohibited by safety regulations.
  • the problem with the presses described above is that the drainage elements have to withstand the pressures acting on them from the outside, so that a sufficient juice drain is always ensured.
  • the press according to the invention has the advantage that, in the case of pressing grapes, the juice from the mash can be pressed out with a very high efficiency.
  • This has the advantage that the pressures of the pressure medium which acts on the pressure medium space on the side of the press membrane remote from the material to be pressed can be kept comparatively low, which means that, at high press-out pressures, turbid substances also escaping from the grapes get into the grape juice, which results in a significant increase in quality of the grape juice.
  • the increased efficiency of the press according to the invention means that the pressing of the grapes - compared to known presses of the prior art - can take place in a significantly shorter time, which leads to an increased throughput of material to be pressed in the press according to the invention.
  • the flexibility of the juice channels according to the invention in space juicing by means of a press membrane advantageously leads to the press membrane being subjected to considerably lower loads than is the case in the prior art, since the drainage element no longer represents a fixed obstacle which the press membrane avoid must, or on which the press membrane can rub on. This applies both in the horizontal direction in which the drainage element can evade due to its flexibility according to the pressure conditions within the material to be pressed, as well as in the vertical direction in which the press membrane approaches the drainage element from both sides due to the excess length and / or the elasticity of the Elastic tissue material, the tissue hose or the entire drainage element can take and take in the vertical direction.
  • Another advantage associated with the flexible design of the drainage elements according to the invention is that the filling volume of the container with pressed material when filling the container e.g. Use one or more filling lids considerably better, since the flexible drainage elements, which are preferably also designed to be excessively long, do not oppose the sliding of the filling material from any rigid, central obstacle. As a result, the pressed material can also reach the container areas that are not in the vicinity of the lid, which leads to an increase in the filling quantity.
  • a further increase in the filling volume results from the fact that the volume of the flexible drainage elements according to the invention in the case of room juicing is smaller than the filling volume of rigid drainage elements, as are used in presses of the prior art.

  • Another advantage that results from the use of the flexible drainage elements according to the invention is that when loosening the pressed material, too Whichever the container is preferably rotated about its longitudinal axis, the flexibility of each drainage element with each container movement leads to the fact that any adhering material to be pressed is shaken off.
  • the surface of the drainage elements ie the surface on which the material to be pressed adheres, also changes both its position and its surface shape when the container rotates, as a result of which the adhering material to be pressed detaches itself from the drainage elements without external influence , In the case of a rigid drainage element, however, this self-cleaning effect does not exist.
