Definitions

  • the invention relates to a glare protection device for a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for controlling a glare protection device for a motor vehicle.
  • a drivable filter disk especially for motor vehicles, which has a plurality of predetermined liquid crystal regions, with the help of which larger sections of the filter disk can be darkened. This reduces glare, but at the same time considerably limits the driver's field of vision.

  • the screen element is moved mechanically.
  • Such mechanical devices have several disadvantages. On the one hand, their mechanical control is very complex. On the other hand the degree of darkening or the degree of transmission of such a screen element cannot be varied. Opaque screen elements have a degree of darkening of 100% (degree of transmission 0%). In addition, the size of the blend element is fixed and cannot be adapted to the apparent size of the dazzling object. As a result, either the glare object is not completely darkened, ie a residual glare remains, or the glare element covers the glare object by far and thereby impairs the driver's field of vision, which is also undesirable and is perceived as disturbing. In general, mechanical devices react with certain time delays, so that a quick reaction to sudden light reflections is also not possible.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an anti-glare device for a motor vehicle and a method for controlling an anti-glare device for a motor vehicle, which avoid the disadvantages specified above, which in particular allow delay-free masking of the glare object, which enable adaptation to the glare object and which are simple and can be produced and carried out inexpensively.
