Abstract
Procedimiento para preparar (-)-(S)-N-(alfa-etilbencil)-3-hidroxi-2-fenilquinolina-4-carboxamida, que comprende: 1) hacer reaccionar ácido 3-hidroxi-2-fenilquinolina-4-carboxílico, en un disolvente adecuado, con trietilamina, para formar una primera mezcla de reacción, enfriar la primera mezcla de reacción, y añadir cloruro de tionilo para formar una segunda mezcla de reacción que comprende 6,14,22,30-tetrafenil-[1,5,9,13]tetraoxahexadecino [2,3-c:6,7-c':10,11-c":14,15-c'"]tetraquinolina-8,16,21,32-tetrona y 3-cetoxi-2-fenilquinolina-4-carboxilato de etilo; 2) añadir (S)-1-fenil-propilamina a la segunda mezcla de reacción para formar una tercera mezcla de reacción que comprende (-)-(S)-N-(alpha-etilbencil)-3-hidroxi-2-fenilquinolina-4-carboxamida y 3-hidroxi-2-fenil-4-quinolinacarboxilato de (S)-2-fenil-4-[[(1-fenilpropil)amino]carbonil-3-quinolinilo; 3)calentar la tercera mezcla de reacción; y 4)opcionalmente convertir (-)-(S)-N-(alpha-etilbencil)-3-hidroxi-2-fenilquinolina-4-carboxamida en una sal farmacéuticamnete aceptable.
