NATHAN SULLIVAN, OF HIIMBOLDT, TENNESSEE.
' IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICAL COMPOSITIONS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 166,823, dated August 17, 1875; application filed January 16, 1875.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, NATHAN SULLIVAN, of Humboldt, in the countyof Gibson and State of Tennessee, have invented a new and Valu able Improvement in Medical Composition; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same.
The object of this invention is to obtain a medical composition which will be efficacious in the treatment of acute and chronic rheumatism and fever and ague; and it consists in a medical composition composed of a tincture of Leptandm Vz'rgim'ca, pulverized prickly-ash root, and milkweed-root, in the proportions hereinafter described.
To prepare this medicine I take one quart of whisky and add to it one ounce of Leptandm Virgim'ca, pulverized, four ounces of prick1y-ash root, and one ounce of mikweed- In testimony that I claim the above I have hereunto subscribed my name in the presence of two witnesses.
